HOW TO: Make a HOT AIR BALLOON with POLYMER CLAY!

- I'm back! So today I decided to try out some bright colours again with something I haven't done before. Today is a hot air balloon with all of the glitter, mica and ribbons you can imagine!

Video Features

Tools:
-Tile to bake on, dotting tool, tissue blade, craft knife
-Rainbow colours of polymer clay
-Ribbon, mica, glitter, macrame thread, needle & patience!
Baking Polymer Clay:
it's often in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.
Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!
Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a fingernail in it or a fingerprint, back in the oven it goes!
Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.

I sure did! But I loved this one. Anything rainbow, sparkly, glittery. I'm such a magpie! I lose track of the coffee I drink! But in the evening I do switch to tea or decaff coffee or I wouldn't sleep at all! Thanks for watching Karen, as always! 😊
