Odd thing - east Versus west , Aishwarya rai was a victim of violence and harassment from her boyfriend. He would even show up drunk where she was shooting and got into physical altercation on the sets, accusing her of having affairs with everyone when she broke up with him. It ended HER getting replaced in movies because the production house and directors were loosing money because of shoots being held up. She lost the project and some other projects as well but Salman Khan lost nothing, his fandom continued to support him. This was in early 2000s though.

Funny thing, Aishwarya Rai’s ex bf Salman khan used to hit her and harassed her for months after she broke up with him, creating scene on sets, her apartment, and was banned from her society too after he kept banging her door till 3 AM. Aish lost 5-6 movies because rammed the sets of chalte chalte and held up shoot for hours. This was 2002, no me too - and a beautiful, successful actress is helpless. Fast forward 2016 and amber gets away for years with her fake DV claims. It’s so odd to see them sharing the same stage.
