Making hard decisions The most important lesson from eid Al adhaa is making hard decisions about Deen, especially in matters related to Aqeedah and imaan. Some of these are extremely tough on the heart. But they have to be taken to "do the sacrifice" 1. A person is reading a so called tafseer of Quran and see this passage "This incident shows Aishah (Ra) and Hafsa(Ra) had very bad manners with rasoolullah" This is dishonour of our Prophet and his family. The reader must immediately throw this book out of his home and never read any book from this author. It doesn't matter how many theology books he wrote,whether he was a strong opponent of "shirk and bidah" or how many people follow him. This is not showing grudges for him. But this is for protection of one's imaan and protection against "spiritual psychological diseases". Some physical diseases can be symptoms of this spiritual disease. 2. Or you read in a so called religious book that the best of the Sahabah(Ra) did not behave properly with the prophet(Ra). Again a tough decision required because this author is very popular and some people refer to him as "Sheikhul Islam". You must ask the question "How can someone who came 400 years after the death of Prophet have any eminent status as that of the 4 Imams"? Throw the book out of the home. People such as Ibn Taymiya, Ghazali, Ibn Qayyim, Ibn Arabi and Mohamed Ibn Wahhab may have written a lot of books. But there's no textual evidence to prove that they have any eminence. If people are attached these figures and have no special interest in the lives of the Sahabah (Ra), fake ruqyaa industry will grow. Change your Aqeedah and there will be no need for profession.
