Hey thanks much for watching Janet! I'm glad to have the opportunity to own such a nice pickup! Based on what I've seen on this truck and around the farm your dad was quite the innovator and I would have loved to sit down and chat with him!
This is a nice old truck. That paint will probably shine up quite well. I like the simplicity laid back nature of this truck. It’s got it’s own personality. The gas tank probably needs a major service cleaning and the fuel line blown out. So far, need a rear axle seal, break light switch, fix what ever is howling in the engine compartment, newer tires, wiper blades and make sure the wiper works. And your golden. Probably need a new oil pressure sending unit. This is a truck you clean up a bit and just drive, use and enjoy.
Well I guess you don’t have to worry about the rear tires falling of that old girl! Plus with all that grease flying of them u joints you don’t have to worry about nothing rusting out ha ha the yokes on you duff 💪🔥 sling shot engaged!
1. Not a Y block - Check 2. Not a bad starter - Check 3. Not a small block Chevy - Oh well 4. No stuck valves - Check 5. No stuck clutch - Check 6. Nah, five is enough. Good job, dude. Duff should be proud.
@@MortskeRepair if you ever want to know the history on those 2 vehicles I can leave you my email. My dad worked on that farm for around 40 yrs. The blue pickup was actually an old Bell telephone company vehicle
Thanks for another Mortske Monday. Thats a nice one. Its your effort with filming and busting your ass on a hot day...Say whatever you want. Take it easy🐾
This is a nice, clean, pickup, great paint for it's age, the shed storage saved the next owner loads of additional grief. I like it. Good lookin truck. And Damn....they never start and idle on the first time. Wow.....
If you are serious about building a mobile rig, this will probably be the best candidate you are likely to come across. It is relatively rust free, doesn't seem to have any major mechanical issues, and with all of the added goodies it has, it certainly has a lot going for it. Mortske driving around in a rig named Princess would be priceless. With the number of old Fords that you seem to find, it's not like it would be hard to find a seat, door, and mirror. This one is a keeper.
Just a fuel filter, replace the tall one and flush out the tank, but you knew this. I love your time and your ability. I wish I knew your hard working family. cause my family was hard working too.

Had that year, was my old man's first truck and I got it after 6 years. Slow but dependable 240 3 speed on the column with no radio. You could hear the gas sloshing around behind the seat. It had a manual choke which was a mystery of what it did when I was young and just started fooling around with cars. Good memories.
A few days ago, I purchased a 1985 Ford F-150 with the 300 engine with a 4 speed transmission. It has a similar valve noise to your truck with a very strong oil pressure. After a motor oil and oil filter change, The engine seemed to run even more smoothly and does not appear to smoke any at all with only some very small drips. One thing that I want to do is to change out the fuel filter just for good measure and peace of mind. My truck actually has factory AC that works. Someone rigged up the blower circuit and relocated the fan switch and used a black power cord directly to the starter solenoid for the power source with a crimp in ATC fuse holder. So far, I have had to repair/replace the 1157 bulbs and one new socket for the right rear taillight and also replaced the headlights with Sylvania Silverstars. Thanks for your great video.

My grandfather had one exactly like that. Same color too. He had a camper thing in the bed of it. I remember him taking the original axel off and putting a duality under it. 😂 he would drive it to the local bar occasionally and he would park the camper behind the place so he didn’t have to drive home drunk. 😂
As soon as he hooked it up I said to myself "wanna bet it's in gear" and it was. Starts fiddling with the points and I says to myself "shock coming" and he did. Damn nigh peed myself laughing, especially having done that myself once in a while. And then there was the time that I got my 16 year old son to hold a spark plug against the block to check for spark while I cranked the Camaro over while figuring it would start right up. Kraco... I worked at a SoCal tool and die (mold) shop in the late '60's. We made many of the dies for Kraco in Compton. Joe Krane was the owner... that's another story. I actually have a special wrap wrench for those Ford fuel filters. I'd be buyin' those filters up while they are still around. Points file... I love mine so much that I've had the same one for 50 years. Nice to see you use one. Sandpaper often leaves a dusty film that can insulate. I guess you know that now. Good luck. Nice Ford truck for being in rustland.
Sweet princess She's a keeper I like this one I'm thinking your gonna get some good offers on this one Lemon squeezy revival for ya bud If she don't go to new home id like to see princess get a buff up 👌 Cool entertainment as ever Thank you 👍
Nice options back in the day, built in air supply, and a/c converter. not bad and like another mentioned No Starter issues. Simple straight Six ready for daily use.
Hey Mortske. There are two main things I love about buying an old truck. 1) Old trucks are just COOL to own. and 2) Is the treasure hunt through the truck to see what they left. I see Duff in like my Bandit. He loves the shop because of the cool cement floor. Hey Mortske, Did I ever ask you if you wanted to share shop stickers? If not, I am asking you now. Do you want to trade shop sticks? I thought we had this conversation before, but I never received anything from Your shop. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Hey mortsky. Nice car. Not a lot of work at the car. Runs quickly. And have a lot of options . Make it better. Clean a little. And make the paint better. Keep on going
Your videos are awesome! I love your commentary and the clip inserts! Best one I have heard from you to date: “good bye hepatitis C”. Still laughing at that one and the references to Greta too :~)
I’d be driving this old truck everyday ! You just can’t find them anymore in this kind of shape . It’s a little chewy but it’s all their !! And the 300 she’ll run !
I loved the look on your face when you first engaged slingshot and that thing busted off like it had been running 20 minutes before you got it. The clatter is normal all 300s are noisy. Also diggin the 'Tallica when channelsurfing the ol craco haha. Keep this truck. It is a PERFECT service truck for retrieving the other junkheaps you buy. Oh, and if you want it to sound nice, Hedman Header longtube tri y and some Borlas or Flowmaster 50s will give it a mean growl.
@@MortskeRepair If you really wanna make it sing throw a Comp 260 in it and pair that with a 390-450cfm 4bbl on a dual plane intake. Summitt has all the goodies they just bolt right on. They sound like big block V8s at idle with a 260 or 268 bumpstick in em and they pull like a Cummins besides. Diesel with spark plugs. I ain't in no hurry to V8 swap my 85 F150. Just gonna work the 300 already in it. Best damn six cylinder engine Ford ever made.
@@MortskeRepair No more expensive than building a smallblock V8. Already got helper springs on that rig too so its pretty much ready to tow anything you need to tow. Ripped some good donuts too. Got a posi back there?
The real iron ,. 66 Ford F-150,. Cool , love it , Mr vice grip garage. I know someone who had 2 , put , a potent 429 or 460,. Big pair ,. A whole lot of torque. Bottom end torque. Oh, that's right, in 1984 ? It's was replaced by another older motor that bolted right in , a 1976 Ford Grand Torino ex police car. 400 ,. A power house motor , I wish the old motor was kept, it's gone, I do have a 460 , that will bolt right up to the bell housing. No changing nothing. But, I think both of these motors need rebuilding,. The whole pick-up day in a barn , with a hole in the middle of it , sat through, from 1988, until 2003 , hood is very rusted , body ?? Genders , cab, etc . I don't know if it can be saved. It hasn't run since 2007 ,. Tailgate is junk ,. Back split window is the deal is damaged. So, it's going to be a guessing game, until I look at it. I've never been a ford guy but the 300 inline 6 is one of the best ford engines I've ever had. They run forever even if you don't take care of them lol!
That's a helluva nice truck, far better than the new plastic ones. It sure brings back memories. My first was a '65. 240 4 spd, 4:11 posi. After I swapped the 4:11 for a 3:00, I got 28-30 mpg. Funny how Canada is supposed to be metric, but we're always doing the conversions to see how many mpg we're getting. Sfukt. Oh, used gas and leftover 50:1 is excellent grass and weed killer.

I had a 80 model square headlight in a model and it had the straight 6 in it with grand gear 4 speed I turned it into a tow truck it was eight lug had the big Cool springs on it and everything he couldn't kill it I haul the trash truck to the dump to get it done and then went to the crusher with the trash truck I broken three tow trucks and it picked it up so hell yeah tow rig

One of the finer specimens to enter your shop. This one doesn't need a lot to be a real nice runner. I think you should get it to true daily status.
That's the plan!
She's not a bad old girl. I think I'd keep her. I like that color too👍 Heck....the motor might even be worth rebuilding eventually.
I think it runs just fine as is!
I bet the other one will fire up just as easy. Johnny took good care of his rigs. I'm pretty sure I rode in that truck as a kid.
Very well maintained stuff!
This is 1 of my 2 go to channels now.. like how you just do it with out over trying to be funny like another channel. Keep it up. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks boss!
It definitely hasn't seen much salt driving.
Yes old gas is always weed killer but only in early spring. Our property this summer is like a box of matches. So no combustable liquids allowed.
WOW! Clean it and Fox Little details, keep it.You got a treasure. Very good video.Love you AND Duffy.
Sweet princess She's a keeper I like this one I'm thinking your gonna get some good offers on this one
Lemon squeezy revival for ya bud If she don't go to new home id like to see princess get a buff up 👌
Cool entertainment as ever Thank you 👍
Keep it, that's a good one. I would like a truck like that.
Nice options back in the day, built in air supply, and a/c converter. not bad and like another mentioned No Starter issues. Simple straight Six ready for daily use.
That's a solid old truck. Digging the compressor and converter. She'd buff out pretty decent and make a guy a decent driver.
There's the familiar 300 idle, with the singing timing gears. Duck tape the tire after you put a new tube in it.
Yes you got a real nice truck there. Great find 👍👍.
Yeah you did but you never sent me any so I never sent you any back. Shipping info is in the video description.
@@MortskeRepair I thought we talked about it. But I didn't ever get anything. I will send it again. Some mail carrier has a Dog Hous Sticker.
Hey mortsky. Nice car. Not a lot of work at the car. Runs quickly. And have a lot of options . Make it better. Clean a little. And make the paint better. Keep on going
That's the plan!
Best part is waiting for the burn outs!!! way worth tha wait lol!! Great vid!
My good sir, you must've gotten a lemon. Almost everything works on this car.
You got yourself a mighty nice rig there. Some little maintenance work and I think you got a GREAT shop truck mobile unit! Keep up the great work!
The ol donut maneuver stirred up some crud in the tank lol cool truck
No doubt!
My buddy in our highschool trade school deal, had a unibody f100 and it had the big ol steps in the rockers like you were sayin
Finally one of your finds that might make it all the way to SC might be worth the trip up north
Smoothest one on your show I've seen yet.
It’s a keeper! Good starter, it runs and has some brakes!
The trifecta!
Come on guys let’s help this man out and tag some battery companies for him
Your videos are awesome! I love your commentary and the clip inserts! Best one I have heard from you to date: “good bye hepatitis C”. Still laughing at that one and the references to Greta too :~)
Hepatitis C ya later!
Man that thing would be an awesome summer revival truck with the compressor and an awesome summer cruiser that is my dream truck right there
I’d be driving this old truck everyday ! You just can’t find them anymore in this kind of shape . It’s a little chewy but it’s all their !! And the 300 she’ll run !
looks great. Id like to see a Part 2 (carb, tank, brakes, converter, headliner, shine up, etc)! Maybe a Puddin Power Wash. Cheers from Maine!
That F-100 is a sweet find, with that 300 six and other bonuses. A few tweaks and spit and polish, oh yeah !
I do love twice pipes on an inline!
@@TestECull Hot dang! Sounds expensive tho!
@@MortskeRepair No more expensive than building a smallblock V8. Header is about 250-300, cam is 220, intake the same, carb....my first choice would be a holley truck avenger but you prolly have a suitable carb in the part stash at this point. Already got helper springs on that rig too so its pretty much ready to tow anything you need to tow.
Ripped some good donuts too. Got a posi back there?
I think you found a keeper!
The real iron ,. 66 Ford F-150,. Cool , love it , Mr vice grip garage. I know someone who had 2 , put , a potent 429 or 460,. Big pair ,. A whole lot of torque. Bottom end torque. Needless to say, they had to sell both. Yup, people hating Ford's , raced him and WELL,. They had to go ,. I drove one for a short time, and talk about room , gee,. Any size motor would work. 👍👍. Great video and thanks for sharing,
Thanks much for watching!
@@MortskeRepair you are welcome. It's better than watching videos, that should never be on here, or Facebook. This country is already in turmoil, about Covid, about crimes , I don't wish on no one... It's sad , sorry, enough if that , I have a 1978 F-350 , extended wheel base , has ?? I think, 87,000 miles original miles , not the same motor , the old motor was , junk , in?? The under carriage, the frame has rust all the way down it. Oh , dear , sorry, I would imagine that you are busy with everyday routines ,. It's Monday, so I would imagine. Thanks again for a great video. Yes , watching these is better than other things 👍👍.
Them 300s are hard to kill my grandfather ran his with 0 oil pressure for a decade!! Lol glad you got a easy one a fella was feeling pretty bad for you had a string of bad luck for a few!! That thing would make a sweet revival rig!!
I've heard they are good!
I own and drive a 66 F100 , 352 FE and the truck runs great . You should keep it , you’ll miss it .
Right on!
I learned to drive on a 66 with 3 on the tree. It had a 240 in it until the head warped and dad bored it .30 over.
She’s a keeper, doesn’t need much and makes a great shop rig for ya 👍
I've never been a ford guy but the 300 inline 6 is one of the best ford engines I've ever had. They run forever even if you don't take care of them lol!
That's what they say!
Morning Duffske!
Keep it. Every guy needs a princess in his life.
Sounds like drama to me!
That's a helluva nice truck, far better than the new plastic ones. It sure brings back memories. My first was a '65. 240 4 spd, 4:11 posi.
After I swapped the 4:11 for a 3:00, I got 28-30 mpg.
Funny how Canada is supposed to be metric, but we're always doing the conversions
to see how many mpg we're getting. Sfukt.
Oh, used gas and leftover 50:1 is excellent grass and weed killer.
I could go for those smiles per gallon right about meow!
Princess Auto Reference! Yeah Buddy!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I got a red ' 66 F100 in my shed. 352 3 speed column shift. She's ready for a revival !
Send it my way!
That’s a pretty slick old truck, a keeper if you ask me👌🏻
HI Mortske Repair--GREAT To see you and DUFF again!! I noticed on your lot a pink 1956 caddy ? dose it work ? I like this 1966 ford man you have every thing on it and IN IT SOCKS HA! Great to see that old truck running and moving.
My 2nd pickup was a 66 F100 with a 352, 3 on the tree and a overdrive rearend. It would curse 80 mph all day . Had 80,000 miles on it when I got ahold of it for $50 bucks. Sky blue over white.
I like FEs and overdrives!
You gotta keep it; it's mint!
