Nice tip (sts)! Old tool kits are fun but do provide a challenge sometimes. Your mind creates a cascading problem solving thought train (just watched “Blazing Saddles” - great movie!).

I know what you're saying! I'll be wondering how to solve a problem with a build, then get a flash of inspiration from nowhere, and away I go, on with the build.

Great seeing you're closing up on B-17., I'll make sure to direct to you when I make a vid about my old forgoten B-17. Old paintjob on one wing is mess, but I dont plan to strip it now. I'll just leave it to remind me what was I doin 15+ years ago lol. And I'll finish it all with brush. Great tip on the decor caulk. Would never think of it. Cheers

good plan! when I finish this I'll do a side by side comparison with the exact same B17 kit I built sometime in the early 90's, built straight from the box, and brush painted with humbrol enamels.
