Suffering from something We're not sure of In a world There is no cure for These lives we live Test negative for happiness Flat line, no pulse, but eyes open Single file like soldiers on a mission If there's no war outside our heads Why are we losing? [Chorus: x2] I don't ask for much (Life less) Truth be told I'd settle (frightening) For a life less frightening, (Life less) A life less frightening (frightening) Hang me out to dry I'm soaking With the sins of knowing What's gone wrong But doing nothing I still run Time again I have found myself stuttering Foundations pulled out from under me This breath is wasted on them all Will someone answer me [Chorus x2] Is there a God tonight Up in the sky Or is it empty just like me? (Just like me) A place where we can hide Out from the night Where you are all I see (Where you are all I see) So blow a kiss goodbye then close your eyes Tell me what you see (Tell me what you see) A lifetime spent inside this dream of mine Where you are all I see [Chorus x2]
This is real music, The feelings put into the song, the music, the lyrics and the perfomance. You can really feel that he closes his eyes while singing and remembering what he felt when he wrote the song, so he can sing the song the way it's ment to. Just so unbelivably good. The feeling they create, is, i can't even find a word for it. Just the best.
Joe met Tim at a Sick of it All show and Joe and Mr. Precision had something and he asked Tim to sing for some of the tracks he was the original of Transistor Revolt and Rise Against. Technically if he was on the original recordings and was their first singer he's an original it doesn't matter who founded it all that matters is the first line up.
lol they did that to me! i remember my mate put on ready to fall a few years ago and i was like euurgh turn this shit off. then a couple of days later curiosity got the better of me and i searched them up on here. within a day or two i was obsessed and still am today! SOAD for life!
This is the best acoustic version they ever did. Since 2007 I come here every few months to remind myself how good this acoustic version it is. I was really hoping they will release this in Ghost Note Symphonies :/
It's watching acoustic vids like this that make me wish they would have picked around 12 songs to do acoustically and put out a cd with them...just to hold us over until the new album...
Rise Against is AMAZING in every possible way. I even try to look for their least popular song in itunes and I can't find a bad song, they are just that good!
@andyfitzj nope brandon wasn't in 88 Fingers Louie, John Caroll was the drummer for 88 Fingers, although the guitarist Dan Wleklinski went to Rise Against, forgot that John was never a part of Rise Against so we both fail it was only two of 88 Fingers members that began Rise Against.
For me they´re still the greatest band on earth. Don´t start calling me a "mainstream fan" , jeah I got into Rise Against with the album Appeal to Reason, but I really love TU or RPM. To me it seems like they´ve always done what they really wanted to do and they grew naturally.:P
I meant Joe is the only one of the members that came from 88 Fingers Louie. Brandon also wasn't the original drummer, he is actually the third, the first was Toni Tintari and then Dan Lumley from Screeching Weasel was with them for just a brief time.
@BubbleParadox yes definately i find it hard to describe aswell but that puts it well that he just played for the music, cos he actually left rise against because they were getting too big and hectic, and he even said himslef that he didnt want to be famous. yeah he just plays for the music cos he loves the music. beautiful.
If they released an acoustic album, I'd buy it.
Me too... Two times to be sure!
well your in luck they are.
Bryan Jacobs they did but it’s only part 1
@@kool-aidman1232 hope volume 2 releases this year or next year
Ghost Note Symphonies vol. 1
I’m 32. Been listening to rise against since I was in high school. Still love em
This may qualify to be my favorite song of all time.
Suffering from something
We're not sure of
In a world
There is no cure for
These lives we live
Test negative for happiness
Flat line, no pulse, but eyes open
Single file like soldiers on a mission
If there's no war outside our heads
Why are we losing?
[Chorus: x2]
I don't ask for much (Life less)
Truth be told I'd settle (frightening)
For a life less frightening, (Life less)
A life less frightening (frightening)
Hang me out to dry
I'm soaking
With the sins of knowing
What's gone wrong
But doing nothing
I still run
Time again I have found myself stuttering
Foundations pulled out from under me
This breath is wasted on them all
Will someone answer me
[Chorus x2]
Is there a God tonight
Up in the sky
Or is it empty just like me? (Just like me)
A place where we can hide
Out from the night
Where you are all I see (Where you are all I see)
So blow a kiss goodbye then close your eyes
Tell me what you see (Tell me what you see)
A lifetime spent inside this dream of mine
Where you are all I see
[Chorus x2]

Thank you for the awesome teenage memories!
I just love how he says "Sure man!" in the beginning. I just love his voice :D
I'd buy it in a heartbeat, and people who say that the singer can't sing may or may not be proved wrong. =P
This man, I swear. 🥰 🥰 he can truly sing anything! ❤️

ths song is killer..
Droagan is my absolute hero.
they should make an acoustic album
I meant Joe is the only one of the members that came from 88 Fingers Louie. Brandon also wasn't the original drummer, he is actually the third, the first was Toni Tintari and then Dan Lumley from Screeching Weasel was with them for just a brief time.
I like the recyclable package it comes in. Just last week I saw a case made from recycled materials -ie- the old cardboard package.
im not gunna lie, this is amazing
I wish their new material was like this.
This reminds me of Roadside. It's awesome.
to top it all, he is wearing a HOT WATER MUSIC t-shirt... not bad at all!
great
Acoustic sounds so full🎸🎸🐶😀
@BubbleParadox yes definately i find it hard to describe aswell but that puts it well that he just played for the music, cos he actually left rise against because they were getting too big and hectic, and he even said himslef that he didnt want to be famous. yeah he just plays for the music cos he loves the music. beautiful.
☝🏻
Fuck yeah! Rise Against is the best!
Is it Just me or is tim AMAZING?!?!?!

@Slightlyanxious I totally agree.
nothing can beat the original
tim i love u
omg they sound so good they sound just like they do on the cd even though they are live hes a good singer XD
Tim and Joe were the original members, Tony Tintari were their first drummer, but he didn't stick around for the first album if I remember correctly
Everybody put this on your facebook, myspace ... and share it! it's amazing :)
agreed
Zajebiście xD
This slaps so hard I might have to call the police on myself for a domestic disturbance
They should just do an entire acoustic album, thatd be epic. :3
I agree with you to 90 Percent, but I think Tims voice is on the new album unbelievable
(even more than normally).
sounds amazing acoustically as it does electrically.
indeed he did say laf but you know he said life
needless to say awesome band awesome song
Damn, he's got a good voice.
I hear "for sure man" ^^
truth be told so i settle for a life less frigthening....
needs to be on rock band!
I like Tim's "acoustic voice". It's really different. His regular voice is awesome too, especially back then.
The fact that he plays most of his songs on acoustic too is nice. Distortion covers the truth sometimes. Message carries further.
fucking favorited
