I hope Wilmer finds a good platoon spot somewhere. He was my favorite raker last season. Hopefully Chappy does his thing. I'm not asking too much here, just be him. Hopefully we can get the running game going this year, balance of small ball and power. If we can stay healthy and get healthy, I would be very happy with a wildcard spot and maybe a sneaky run. We can always hope!
More than hope on our side now! We actually have a bona fire DH, and a 1-2 combo, that's league leading by the break, 3,4,5 may be better, than 1-2, and man its exciting to review the strikeout pitches of each prospect. We get in A game where I can open with hicks, close with doval, and in between you got THE best inning, strikeout pitch, of snell, harrison, wisenhunt, winn, and your ace pitches only 3 middle innings....lol lol lol every pitch a bleeping masterpiece......you've got curves, FB, sliders, the ultimate TL changeup, simmering.........ohhhhh yaaaaaaah!

Honestly with the giants new signings and all I say we can have a chance at the wild card. And probably win about like 90 wins. Plus that also depends on the injuries and what not

Im a realist, i can admit when my team is bad.
I think with a healthy team and everyone playing great, 90 wins is possible with a wild card. But that’s the ceiling.

It took a while, but we *finally* got the rotation-solidifying addition we needed. It's a little hard for me to shift gears from bitching and moaning about Zaidi these last few months, but at this point I have to admit we've had a good offseason. It still sucks that the Dodgers had an even bigger one, but the list of additions we've made is nonetheless impressive. This team is looking like a solid playoff contender if people play roughly like we'd hope, and we can just get decent injury luck.
I can tell that the Giants could be a wild card team to be fair. Let’s see what happens next.

If we didnt get Snell i would say 85. Now we have Snell im saying around 100 wins.
My prediction was 78 wins without snell I will change it to 82! Still not buying playoffs but hey we’ll see!

Guys. I get that you’re all riled up but this team is not gonna score a lot of runs. We’re gonna have to rely on pitching and defense. Whoever said 1-9 we’re dangerous is high.
I respectively disagree with you. I went through the lineup 1-9. That is a solid lineup. I'm not saying they will score a lot of runs. I'm saying they can score a lot of runs when you look at this lineup. I think you are the one that is high.
@@SFBayAreaSportsTalk sorry and most national and local respected pundits agree. Look at what they did last night against a sub-par aged pitcher. They’re not going to score a lot of runs. I think your thesis is high, respectfully.
@@MrStevebo76 SF Giants are averaging more than 5 runs a game through the first five games of the season and rank top 10th in runs per game to start the season. My thesis is not high in my opinion. My thesis is a solid prediction based on how solid this lineup is. We shall see but so far Giants are scoring a lot of runs to start the season. They had 8 hits last night and set the table. Just didn’t get the big hits to knock in runs.

I like the Snell signing but we still need Montgomery. We've only got 2 healthy proven starting pitchers. You need at least 8 to cotend because there will be injuries.

The Giants are a #3 team in the NL West at best. They may get lucky with a wildcard but it’s doubtful. The Padres will be better than last year and may even be #3 but neither one are as good as the Dodgers nor D-Backs.
As 2021 proved.. you never know in baseball.
