Lovely video Claire and congratulations again on your first genuine Blythe, she's absolutely lovely ❤️❤️❤️. I love those blue eyes and it's fab that you had the experience and confidence to make adjustments. Her stock is very cool ❤️
Thank you so much Milly, I think having the confidence to customise came from playing with the fakes, it’s definitely a brave leap to get going customising and you have to be prepared to make mistakes, and spend money on spares. I’m so delighted to have my doll. and I’m definitely interested on buying a future realise doll. x
I loved your unboxing video! Your doll is lovely and you have repaired her hair so well. I am teetering on the doll fence, I think that I may need a Blythe but I will go with the fakes for my first one. Your energy is infectious. Thanks for sharing. Laurie
I loved this Claire - I had been watching an old Christmas vlog of yours then put on mamma Mia just started that then I got a notification pop up to say this was live so I watched this straight away last night- it froze on me for the last 10 minutes so I need to watch that but I loved it all. Well done xx My sweet little Samuel said he will go with me to see Barbie so I don’t have to go on my own! Xx
Thank you so much Lindsey, I hope that the last 10 minutes works for you when you try again. I think you will enjoy the Barbie movie, enjoy! Plus I recommend that you wear a pink item. x
Of course I'm here, Claire!! I saved watching this episode til tonight when I could savour every second 😁 You're gaining so much Blythe knowledge now and becoming a dab hand with your Doctor Frankenstein skills as an eye surgeon 😅 I wonder if any other collectors can give you a tip on what to strip any residue out of the hair and to further smooth out that fuzzy bit? 🤔 She's a little beauty and looked adorable in the stripey outfit you made! Btw, I'm sure that no doll enthusiast would begrudge you any joy, authentic or not!! ❤❤❤ Oh, just to mention, my school dresses were purple tiny gingham! Lovely to see you pop up again!
Yay Rowan, so glad to hear from you. I think dipping in boiling water is the best method from what I’ve seen. Her hair isn’t bothering me now. She is adorable and I’m tempted to steal her style. Ha ha. I’ve never seen a purple gingham school dress, although a local senior school wear Purple blazers. I would love to think that no one would begrudge me having copycat Blythe dolls, however I’ve watched a video recently with the You tuber dead against them. However buying my fakes led me to buying an authentic doll, so that can’t be a bad thing for Blythe business and I will definitely buy another in the future. I hope to have an emergency budget set aside for when the next right Blythe doll comes around. I’ve managed to order a Disney doll that came out early this year and went out of stock for ages. She is on her way and I would like one Sindy, all for dressmaking purposes, of course. 😉 lol x
@@ClaireWhoMakesThings Can you imagine the emergency fund you'd need for an original tho! 🤑 Also, with an enthusiasm for mid century furniture and style that's currently going on, it will keep pushing the prices higher! So thank goodness there are new authentic ones and also fakes, they all bring joy 😊 I also think that you should make a school dress for every Blythe you have and then they can ALL be classmates together ❤️❤️❤️
@@rowanhughes8682 I’ve not purchased a Sindy yet. I’ve to Barbie Movie dolls on Pre order, one Margot Robbie and one Ryan gosling. I don’t normally buy doll clothes as make them, but I did buy a movie clothes pack. I thought I could make an item for me and twin with my doll, well that’s an idea anyway. I was looking at skirt patterns last night, I was thinking how I could re shape them to be the look I’m after. I think the disney doll will take long to get here now. x
How wonderful! Congratulations on your first (and definitely not last ;) Stock Blythe!). I love that she's already like a mini-you!! I did chuckle at how quickly you made all her modifications. I've only ever opened a genuine SBL, and they are a lot of effort, as everything was glued together back then >_< Love what you've made for her already, and look forward to more Blythe creations! ^_^
lol Beth, and thank you so much. I made myself laugh when I had to put all the footage together, I couldn’t help myself making the mods with all that waiting! I’ve just put the Gorilla epoxy into the body I cut the peg off. I will let you know how I get on fitting your neck joint on these Good Smile Company doll bodys. I used a syringe for pet medicine for pumping the epoxy in. I’ve got a naked authentic doll coming! So my one will soon be two! eek! I don’t think she is an SBL. I will have to check. I’ve just checked, she is a Radiance Renew.
@@ClaireWhoMakesThings How exciting, a new girl already! They are too easy to get aren't they!? 😜 I really hope it all goes well with the neck joint!! 🤞
@@BethRamsden Thank you. I know it risky buying an authentic, without a box, clothes and stand ect, but the seller’s reviews were all good, so I decided to go for it. The same doll, in box with stock costs loads! I must admit, the stock is really nice. I might make her things in the same theme. x
Made in China ...😊 I think, the head and body of a blythe is made in china, they assamnle it in japan, add nice clothes, nice box and maybe a story and they sell it for 10x more.....well, it is a lovely experience to receive such a jewel of a box with all the goodies.....
Claire she adorable! I noticed that the box is a replica of the Valentine’s box of candy called “Conversation Hearts”, do you have them in the UK as well? If not check them out!
I’ve just looked them up Gina. We call ‘Candies’ ‘Sweeties’ or ‘sweets’ here in the UK, and we have Sweets called ‘Love Hearts’ which look very similar to your ‘Conversation Hearts’ Ours don’t come in a box though. I mentioned our ‘Love Hearts’ sweeties in my video, but I took it for granted everyone would know what they are. lol
Hi lovely, she’s beautiful, I would love a genuine Blythe one day..lol.. can you tell me where you got the neck joint connector from please…thank you..take care..x
Thank you so much Julie, I got it from Beth Ramsden, however the installation wasn’t as easy as on the fake blythes, however Beth is working on things at the minute.
Very excited for you, the first stock Blythe is always very special, and she looks so cute.
Thank you so much Tammy, I’m so happy that I bought her! ❤️
I know this is an old vide..but omygosh I need to get her! she's gorgeous! lovely video!
Thank you so much, she really is! I have two now! I also dressed as her for a doll convention.

Thank you so much Laurie. A fake is a good place to start as long as you can dress her. Clothes can push the price up.
You are so cute with your doll! I loved watching this video ❤
Thank you so much Mary. X
Saranghae means I love you in Korean. Great review 😊
Yes! Thank you so much.
Congratulations! She is quite wonderful!! I love the box that she came in too! You did a very good job fixing her hair!🥰😍🤩😍
Thank you so much Tracy. I absolutely love the box too. I can’t part with it. x
Love her!

She's really sweet! I'm getting one this summer - my family is traveling through Japan and promised to pick me up one. :) It'll be a surprise!
How exciting Kim, I wish I had family in Japan. lol. I can’t wait to see which doll they bring back for you. x

Some people fold the box down and store them that way as a buyer and collector i really like the boxes

Maybe I'm the only one that LOVES her accent😢
Claire, I noticed that the lilac jacket doesn’t fit very well, is that a normal thing?
I didn’t notice Gina. Maybe it’s how I put it on the sweatshirt out. I will try it on again.
I’ve just put it back on, it does go on properly and I can do it up. As I have a dressmakers eye, it isn’t the best fit for her, it pulls in places.
