Nas is just one of a kind. He knows how to touch your soul, such an honest artist. Lauryn Hill set this off too, perfect song for her to be on. Thanks for reacting to this, you do such a phenomenal job.
dope little speech about traveling the world, being open minded and learning different cultures can make you learn a lot more than one would think. i know you are living life and enjoying the world man
I grew up in the 80s. Damn I miss the women in hip hop from the 80s and 90s. This really took me back and refreshed my soul. I feel sorry for the people who didn’t live through these times. Substance with soul.
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill came out right after I finished high school in New Jersey. That shit spoke to me. This song hits the same on the other side of the country and over 20 years later. She's still as phenomenal as ever.
I'm a huge proponent of taking a trip SOLO. You really find yourself and force yourself into social situation that you'd never normally put yourself into.
I couldn't agree more with you on your views about traveling. I've been literally traveling since the day I was born and it truly gives you a unique perspective on the world and its inhabitants. And what really bonded me to you was when you said Spain has made you aware of what it is to be a man..........for I've been telling friends and family back home that same thing for years now. Damn.
I went to see Fugees in concert way back in 96 and they literally were like 2 hours late. The Roots were the opening act and they extended their set by like an hour which was awesome but still.
You are so correct. I moved to Germany for a fellowship in 1985. I was 18 or 19 years old. I was the first time I got on a plane. It changed my life. Before that trip, my life was Brooklyn and the hood. I thought I would live there forever. When I returned, Brooklyn no longer fit for me. I ended moving to Alaska, DC, Hawaii, and Washington State both as a student and a teacher. Will be moving to Rome Italy in 2023 when I finish my doctorate. That one trip changed me and the trajectory of my life.
I get it. I'm an American who is living in Germany. Been here for 10 years. Traveled the world. Spain is one of my favorite destinations. Preach. GET YOUR PASSPORT and travel.
Last October I took my woman out the country for her first time, she was afraid to do so, which made me think "maybe that's one of the reasons as to why ppl don't travel". It actually took me 4 years to convince her to travel. She finally did and she was extremely happy she did and upset that it took her so long.
Love love LOVE what you said about going to different places. You don't even have to leave America if you live here, you will find that each state, country, and city can and often will be extremely different from the one next to it. You can find places that make you feel a strange amount of culture shock even as little as three hours from your hometown. People forget how huge and eclectic the USA is!
She's not back in Hip-Hop. She never left for real Hip Hop fans. Just rap royalty taking time to reflect and find her way in my mind. Nothing wrong with that.
I love your speech on travel! I agree 💯. I take my kids to a different country every year. My daughter is mixed but speaks Icelandic and Danish - we went to Iceland and she was shocked at the odd looks she received - until she spoke Icelandic to those looking at her. They were blown away and soon enough we had our own personal guides around country. I took my son (who is half Asian) to Belize and Guatemala - in Belize he made friends everywhere he went - young and old - because of him, we had to leave for the boat an hour early so he could say goodbye. As much as they enjoy each of their new experiences - they are soooo happy to come home! They have an appreciation for America most people their ages don’t share.
"Beyonce isn't late" Beyonce isn't Lauryn Hill, either lol One is a perfomer, reliant on appealing to fans; the other is an artist "I don't do the sh*t you do for popularity", "They want to sing, they want to shame, but they don't take risks"
Hi! Biggest MLH fan here and I have to disagree. I think she most certainly IS back in hip hop. From Kanye and Drake sampling her to her guest appearances on albums with Pusha T and Nas. She also recently on The Harder They Fall soundtrack which was GREAT btw. She seems to be coming back through a lot of collaborative work and I think coming from the Fugees that’s what she needs is someone else’s energy to jump in the ring with. She set trends for the next generation and whether she’s physically there or not, she’s still very much a part of hip hop. But yeah, been to 3 of her concerts and it does it get old waiting and waiting and waiting. I’m 40 my back hurts hours before she comes out on stage :) but I just saw Erykah for the first time last fall and she was hella late too so what ya gonna do :) RIP Fugees reunion tour. Thanks a f*ckin’ lot COVID!
Mr boyed You are the gezzer that’s turning me onto NAS. He just was not played at the places I was around. But I have heard peoples top 5 and he’s always in it. I have heard more him from you than. Anywhere else and I understand why. He’s not on mine. But I bet he’s going to be in the next few months. He’s great to hear. You will be thinking not heard much nas. But I am the same age or around.love rap. But nothing modern. As much as I went off Eminem. I have to agree with modern rap or supposed to be rap. But rap has so many different kinds. Kamikaze his best in sometime. He told everyone that was a fan to piss off. So I refuse to buy anything shady. So go NAS. You had more than me. Not feeling em. He is not a poor trailer park guy. And has not been most of his life. His has true privilege. I am not a snoop thinker.
Thank you for taking the time to share with us your reaction to this song. However, my Brotha, please do not compare Beyonce not being late, to Ms. Hill's Lateness. L. Boogie only put out one album, and it is one of the greatess Albums of all time. For this one and first solo album, she won 5 grammies, and let's not forget her contribution to the Fugees, the group also won a grammy. Similarly to NAS, she was, is, and always will be, the voice and consciousness of her generation, and the future generations. That's is how she is "saving lives". She is worth waiting for!-Blessings
Hey man, as a white American who hasn't travelled abroad, what exactly should I be looking for to do better? I try my best to look out for everyone regardless of race, and wish the USA government would do that better. I vote and volunteer for candidates that try to do so. I know you are very progressive and talk about racial inequality quite a bit, so my honest question is: What more can I do? I can't (take time out of my schedule) to boycott or protest, it'll make it so I lose money and can't afford rent.
If I may say without the time to go to these protests ect then simply living your life in the way you say. Hold your values and stand up for them when each opportunity arises! If you see something that you feel will improve yours or someone else's life do it. No need to preach but always try to put good things upon others
All the UA-camrs I watch who are traveling seem to be in agreement that Italy, Spain, Greece are all blatantly rude to black peop. Even to the point of refusing to rent them hotel rooms. Have you experienced any?
With all due respect, your job allows (and even demands) you to travel a lot. That doesn't apply to the vast majority of people. Maybe it's better now that so many people can work remotely, but I know for sure I wouldn't be able to.
Beyonce ain't saving soul....thi is miss Lauren Hill never ever compare her to beyonce. That's a child to miss Hill. Please put some respect on Miss Lauren Hill's name
What I'd say about 'her lateness' is that she also needs to respect other people's time. Bad enough if you're keeping one person waiting an hour or two, but now multiply 120 minutes by what 10k - 20k people?! And I don't know how 'aligning her energies' is 'saving people'?! But I will say I loved her and the rest of the Fugees, that was a smokin' album, easily one of my top Hip-Hop albums of all time.
Bruh did you just compare Ms.Hill to Beyonce???With all due respect G.T.F.O.H!!!Ms.Hill never needed a "Sponsor",they are light years apart,One blew up in bootie shorts and snaked the hell outta her own group with the help of her family "And HOV",while the other made her way off talent alone,That elevator incident showed alot🤔🤔🤔
This whole album has a great vibe. Perfect for long late night driving on the open highway with little to no one else around.
Instant classic! I need to take me a long drive
Nas is just one of a kind. He knows how to touch your soul, such an honest artist. Lauryn Hill set this off too, perfect song for her to be on. Thanks for reacting to this, you do such a phenomenal job.

NAS and Lauryn Hill they're the epitome of Musical Genius Artistically.
This is just...... Greatness! Lauryn Hill even made me tear up a lil bit. NOSTALGIA hit me hard when I heard her voice on this. LOVE
I applaud your "speech" at the beginning! 😀
Yes, traveling does give you a broader perspective.
I couldn't agree more with you on your views about traveling. I've been literally traveling since the day I was born and it truly gives you a unique perspective on the world and its inhabitants. This is my favorite on the album. But the whole project fire. Imho his best in the last 10years.
Maybe I'm bias but it's my favorite also.
I get it. I'm an American who is living in Germany. Been here for 10 years. Traveled the world. Spain is one of my favorite destinations. Preach. GET YOUR PASSPORT and travel.
Money
Hearing Ms Lauren again gave me chills. This album is fire 🔥
She is back. The queen is back
I’ve seen her four times maybe five live and she was never late .
Last October I took my woman out the country for her first time, she was afraid to do so, which made me think "maybe that's one of the reasons as to why ppl don't travel". It actually took me 4 years to convince her to travel. She finally did and she was extremely happy she did and upset that it took her so long.

Yo hermano, I came for the Nas, and stayed for the commentary of travel! Lived in Spain for two years and miss it everyday. Great video and dialogue!
She's not back in Hip-Hop. She never left for real Hip Hop fans. Just rap royalty taking time to reflect and find her way in my mind. Nothing wrong with that.
Wish I could take inner city kids out of the country every summer so they can see other cultures and know there is more out there than their hood.
Same reaction i had on my first listen 9:00. This song has been on repeat since Friday!!
My fav song and this album is Nas at his finest.
I always tell my Black brothers to travel. The most peaceful time in my life was in Ghana. Will move back there in a week.
Incredible song. If you had to react to one other song on this album I’d recommend Store Run. One of Nas’ best songs in past decade
Regular people want to be rich and famous. Famous people miss being nobody.

The best thing I could've ever did for myself was get a passport and travel.
2 goats!
Your words are 💯 about traveling.
One of my favourites on the album
I have a friend in catalonia, I heard it's beautiful! It's not perfect but it"s a beautiful place for a skater and teacher.
thank you
i thought of you when it dropped knowing you’d get right on it Nas being your favorite 😁
Traveling is a healing activity!!
Spend one month in Japan too crazy
The most interesting people are those that leave. Though they will come back, they travel. The world is a great place.
People who travel I find are more open minded about most subjects.
Death Row East gotta be next!
Amazing
Death row east next please senor. Fire AF
She is not Beyonce. She plays instruments at her concert. A lot of artists are moved by inner timing.
Malcolm came back from Africa a new man
Exactly, traveling gives you a broader perspective.
When you initially commented on her lateness I laughed because I knew that line was coming.
"Beyonce isn't late"
Beyonce isn't Lauryn Hill, either lol
One is a perfomer, reliant on appealing to fans; the other is an artist
"I don't do the sh*t you do for popularity", "They want to sing, they want to shame, but they don't take risks"
FACTS! Salute
I agree with you. Lauryn is incredible, but people's time is also valuable. No excuse to be late. She can schedule later shows if she prefers.
I tend to give her a pass seeing that she was miseducated on the matter.
@@EvanTrace I see what you did there lol
I’m eating camel 🐪 meat in Somali and watching this 😂😂
I'm from Morocco .shout to u man ❤️
Great Job 🌠👍👍👍.

You should listen to Lauren in the Fugees sing Killing Me Softly. It's been a favorite and so has she since I was a kid.
Store run my jam.... this a close second....
React to NAS - Death Row East. 2PAC reference
Please review more songs on this album, and Magic

The World is so much bigger than your neighborhood
You said you've been in Spain for 6 years and who knows where you'll be in the next 5.
What if Mrs LBoyd doesn't want to leave?
You feel right in it.😂😂😂😂
All the UA-camrs I watch who are traveling seem to be in agreement that Italy, Spain, Greece are all blatantly rude to black peop. Even to the point of refusing to rent them hotel rooms. Have you experienced any?

In Spain I forgot I was black if that makes sense.
Are you still in Spain now
Beyonce ain't saving soul....thi is miss Lauren Hill never ever compare her to beyonce. That's a child to miss Hill. Please put some respect on Miss Lauren Hill's name

Lauryn hill is above Beyoncé and even beyonce knows that, she’ll be late if she wants too lol

React to my favorite female artist Goddess MC👸🏽{SA~ROC} videos; FOREVER// Goddess Gang// Mother Tongue// Wild Seeds 💯✨✅
First to say first
how old are you ?
