The Hannibal saga are my favourite books of all time. I actually prefer Red Dragon over Silence of the Lambs (the books, SotL movie is clearly superior), so I'm excited about these recs. Please consider doing more of this type of video! There's awesome thrillers out there too.
So stoked to see you cover Beast! Reading Jaws cover to cover at 8 years year old was the most influential book to make me be a marine biologist. But Beast was the better book. Great takes on the Hannibal series also!
I read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea last month... another 5⭐ all-time favorite. Wow the detail of the undersea flora and fauna.. the enigmatic Capt Nemo.. the subaquatic adventure... one of the best!! I tried to watch the old movie and couldn't because they replaced Conseil with the Dr's daughter dressed as a boy to sneak on... smh. How could they change something THAT big? I was so disappointed.
The mist is prob ONLY movie I liked better than the book. That movie ending punched me in the gut in a way that has never happened in film or literature 😂
The ruins is the one book I've never finished couldn't get the feel, and I did give it a good go. The troop was brilliant but I've not ate noodles since.
Lol I've used to read Jules Verne and Karl May when I was very young ,used to love adventure genre nowadays i mostly read horror and thriller novels. Thanks for your recommendations , I'll try from Below
I really dislike the Jaws book. The movie is one of my favorites. I probably wouldn't dislike the book so much if I had read it first, but I'm glad I didn't. If you like Lake Mungo, you'll probably like Disappearance at Devil's Rock.
Love this!! Im old enough to remember seeing "JAWS" at the theatre when it first came out!! Of course, I was too young to see it at the time but somehow managed to sneak in.....LOL I never went into the ocean again and had nightmares for WEEKS after!! I would really love to see you do a "Level" horror book video some time. Level 1 being just spooky and then each level gets scarier until finally there's level 10 that is absolutely terrifying (Extreme gore)!! It would be interesting to see what you pick!! Ive seen a few video's like this and found them really interesting. Thanks for another great video.....
My copy of _Stolen Tongues_ was defective and many of the pages were falling out. Other readers had the same experiences with their copies. One even posted a video on Amazon showing that some of the chapters were even printed upside down. How is your copy?
absolutely loved The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen, plus several of her other works. she's my no.1 crime author to recommend to ppl.
From Below was everything I wanted Into the Drowning to Deep to be.. and even better! omg so good! 5⭐

Why is red dragon better?
A lot of recommendations PER MOVIE?! Wow, that was awesome! Thanks ♥
I LOVE your shirt 😍

I'm very jealous of your career. It's amazing how much books can inspire us!
@@AndaKent Don't be too jealous! There's no money and no jobs. I work in the fishing industry now, but I do still get to tag sharks!

Love these kind of videos.
Have you done a “movie vs book” of kings “the mist”? The endings are vastly different, would love your thoughts
The mist is prob ONLY movie I liked better than the book. That movie ending punched me in the gut in a way that has never happened in film or literature 😂
Parasite?.. who else think anime?
Just read From Below and I loved it! I have Hunted and The Troop lined up next
I still need to read The Girl who loved Tom Gordo. I have the novel and the popup book version too.
Great recommendations! I would suggest Heartsick by Chelsea Cain. I think Gretchen would give even Hannibal Lector a run for his money.
Stolen tounges kinda give me creepypasta/until dawn game like! This one speaks to me!
I've just started this in audiobook and I'm hooked chapter 3 😂

Oh man when I was little I had a PopUp book of “the girl who loved Tom Gordon” and yeah I agree, definitely made me love horror
If you enjoy Jaws, avoid the book. The book is terrible. Read Steve Alten's Meg. But avoid that movie adaptation.
Edit: Huh... imagine that.

It's not a full book, but I'm pretty sure The Thing is based on At The Mountains Of Madness by H.P. Lovecraft.
Any recs for the saw movies
Playground ( aron beauregard) and puzzle house ( duncan ralston) both have saw like elements. I too am looking for reads with Saw-like elements
I want to read Beast so bad, but the name Whip Darling is hard to accept.

Stop it... You're filling up my TBR and TBL (to be listened?). 😂
