- Hope you have been everyone? In the episode, I will be taking an old cylinder that I have and will be making my first ever cuts. I’m planning on removing the bridge on the exhaust port. Nothing crazy but I have to start somewhere. Anyways, please put your recommendations and pointers in the comments. Ride safe everyone.
Good work brother that's how you start and thank you very much.
My man! Thanks for watching 👀. I learned a lot for you and all your work. Thanks so much Kevin 🙏
Moterbike Mike here, Dude that bridge ain't doing you too much you should cut it out
Yes sir, I is gone now 😊😊. Thank you!
Looking good man practice makes perfect. Back in the day (with racecar heads) we would like bolt the exhaust /intake gaskets on and match port to the gasket size…
Thanks! Yes port matching, I have been slacking on that part hahaha 😅😅😅 it does make a difference from what I have seen. Thanks tuning in 🎉🎉🎉
Looks awesome brother I did my first one last week mine was one of them steal lined cylinders you taught this guy something I should have been dipping my bits in oil anyway we will find out how she does when I put it on a zeda pk80 I have laying around it's used but in good condition I'm only using the bottom half we will see good luck with your project and ride safe brother
Thanks you very much Mike!!! Heck yeah brother!! Happy I helped a little. Tim the tinman showed me that one tip with the oil 🛢 👌. Bro, I would like to do an 49 iron sleeve one day! Hope to see you ride it soon! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
For future reference, you want to keep your port walls consistent (flat/level) all the way through (don't flare the end of the port) where the intake manifold mates to the intake port. A chamfer on the inside is good though. Flaring will increase turbulence, improving atomization, but decreases your flow rate, costing you performance at the top end of rpm.
Cool 😎 thanks for the tip about the cylinder walls. I think i under satand want your saying 🤔. I did all my work on the exhaust port so I'm thinking you ment exhaust or it holds ture to bother ports? Thanks again 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
You should have kept the bridge bro great video thanks for sharing it
Brother!! 🎉🎉 my thought was more air flow and to help the exhaust plus wave. Teach me sensei. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It's heavy because it has an iron sleeve. All Aluminum cylinders don't have bridges! Yeah, shoulda kept the bridge and gone wider instead but what do I no.
Thanks Skip! Loving your airplane ✈️ build!! 🎉🎉🎉 a few people have said that I should have kept the bridge. I was thinking it could slow down air flow and mess the impulse exhaust wave. Let me know, thanks 😊 🙏 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
@@grendelsgarage9723 The wave sould go right around it! I recommend leaving them because there is a max width that the rings can span. The total area of the port can be made larger by leaving it in!
Use the piston to mark cyl. Loose the ring tool. Longer bits youll find helpful. Blessing is your trying also shareing as you go. .👍 dont take advice from guys that bolt on cyls.
Thanks, brother for the help 🙏 👍 longer bits would help so much! Using the piston to mark makes a long more sense. 😂 yep I will keep learing. 🎉🎉🎉 hope you feel better soon!
Sorry I didn't watch to the end. Vids are to long well my attention span is short. I'm sure you did a good job.
🎉🎉 no worries, it was a long ass video. I think I did okay for my first
bro whyyyyyyy you could of widen the port with the bridge
I was thinking overall better exhaust gas flow. Teach me, please 🙏. Thanks for the comment 🙏
If you have another cylinder with a bridge, you can wide open the exhaust more for better flow. The bridge is there to prevent the rings from caching the port, which happens when you go too large on the exhaust. Look up exhaust bridge and look at the images so you have an idea of what the bridge accomplishes
I will have to look it up, but I think I understand what your saying now. Sadly I do not have another one with a bridge. But basically your saying leave the bridge then you just hog out the exhaust on either side if the bridge. Because the bridge helps the rings not snag, you can go bigger on the exhaust.... how did I do? 🎉🎉🎉😅😅
Btw lover your profile picture 📸 🎉🎉🎉
@grendelsgarage9723 thanks. What is done is done, and don't feel bad about it. Do some research on 2 stroke in general, not only China 80cc but all 2 stroke and the different ways you can improve them, like putting a reed valve and windowing the piston. What will that do to the engine, or do I need to also modify other stuff to actually benefit from the reed valve like extract transfer ports and so on
I don't do porting videos no more lol all the pro porting guys will always have something to say good luck 🤞 friend
Them very pepole tried helping you
@2strokecarbtuningportingin187 no ur wrong u helped me but there are a lot of know it all on UA-cam u know what I mean and the coil it had a Broken wire that took forever to find but yeah 🤣 I get texts everyday from ppl with no videos telling me about what I'm doing wrong 😂it's mind blowing to me but wasn't talking about u or kevin or the few that really knows believe me if I has a Problem with you, you would be the very first one that noted.I do not play games.I do not hide behind it.I would straight up.Let your ass know
@@2strokecarbtuningportingin187 u have a problem with me or something because u came out of know were with that text ?
I love bother of your guyses work both of you keep up the hard work 💪 👏 🎉🎉🎉
