YES. FINALLY SOME QUAN CHI. Even though his normals is god awful he’s such a fun character. Especially when he gets going. I use Jax and Sektor with him but mainly Jax

Players say this character isnt good without fully optimizing them with different kameos is the problem
He’s a fun character. Especially when he’s in the right situation. But he can’t do what every character can. Everyone in the cast has a frame 7 normal that allows them to stagger or pressure if someone’s blocking or just as simple as taking their turn back. Quan Chi doesn’t have that. Even though his standing 1 is frame 8, when everyone else’s is frame 7 you definitely notice the difference. He also doesn’t have a good standing mid. It’s 23 frames. Ofc with certain kameos it covers some of his weakness. Just depends on what you’re looking for. Since his normals aren’t the best off it’s best to space out at times and play at a range. But since it’s MK you just can’t escape being in close quarters most of the time
Too be fair his strings are fully shit, i still think he is fun, then i learned almost all his strings have gaps so you can armor through them
This damage comes from a somewhat bugged interaction where frost’s ball resets the combo scaling. The character still has abysmal frames and awful strings

The issue is that his b2 overhead is also a shit over head being 27 frames and it has a shitty range
His only mid is not hit confirmable and is minus 13 for some odd reason
His damage is terrible
His health is the lowest
Bone cage and ex portal are useless
His tentacle move takes 2 bars
As a zoner his normal projectile does low damage and his ex skull is very slow
His only armor breaker is also very slow
And as u mentioned his s1 and d1 are too slow
Good news is some of his buffs are already confirmed
Wow. That chi player. I watched that three hit combo he did that started with portal meteor rain into screen kick into whiplash like ... 20 times. He KNOWS chi
That first Quan Chi combo was one of those ones where people would see it and claim it would never in a million years work in a real match or against a pro player. 😂

Quan would be decent if he had 1000 health and somethin that has a 7 frame start up
It's been confirmed he is getting big buffs tomorrow. Bone cage will activate even on block, he now three has different portals and they can be on screen at the same time. The green portal will be on screen for a lot longer than before. The new orange portal drains the opponent's meter and gives Quan armor. I can't wait to see this in practice tomorrow and if it will really help him. I'm hoping they adjust his health too but there's being no mention. I think they won't though.
Reptile (like a Raiden) is a regular shitter. Comment for the game but it is not as interesting as it could be. BTW the main character here is a QChi.

UPD: after practicing about 10 hours I finally realized that Scorp has down R1 move and it's like the middle between R1 and up R1... LOL
That fatal blow combo he can get even more with him tapping X I've done it an gotten 621 out of it.
I’m pretty sure honeybee started tapping so it would’ve canceled it out

Quan Chi is a decent character and I played him at times but never knew Frost combos with Quan Chi was a thing.
