At the beginning of "beautiful" you can hear Christina saying "don't look at me" she was talking to Linda Perry (her producer), she was pretty emotional that day and wasn't sure she could go through the 1st take so she didn't want Linda to look at her. That take was the best she ever recorded throughout her career, she fought for months, begging linda to let her recorded it again but she didn't let her. To that day Christina still thinks "Beautiful" should have never been released in this current state. :) So no, working with her is not an easy task, knowing that you have one of the best vocalist of all time who still thinks she's not good enough and wants to re-do takes again and again gotta be a nightmare.

While past female singers dabbled in a couple genres, Beth did them all as well as the people that made those genres famous. Now other female singers are branching out as well since proved the studios wrong. One can be a multi genre artist.
