You will probably already know that Tim loves unusual playing cards, and he has collected many strange decks of cards over the years!
First, a deck that initially looks normal but wait... all the cards are threaded together.
Then Tim's automatic dealing box - load the deck into this battery operated box, press the button, and the cards shoot out from the front.
The 'Wild West Deck' from Texas is packed into a lovely leather case. Open the case and examine the deck; well, it looks as if this card game ended in a shoot out - all the cards have bullet holes in them!
A Japanese deck, which uses a technique called contra-vision. The backs of the cards are blank, and you can see through the cards to some extent. However turn the cards over, and you can see exactly which card they are.
A deck of cards where each card is shaped a little like a teardrop, with one end larger than the other. The artwork is correspondingly unusual, so the court cards fro example will have a large picture of - say - the Jack of Clubs at one end of the card, and a smaller picture of the jack of Clubs at the other end of the card.
A deck where each card has artwork that has been commissioned from a different artist. Some of the cards are easy to read - you can see the suit and the value of the card without too much trouble - and some take quite a bit of work to see which card they are.
A deck for coding experts, where the value of each card is shown in binary form!
Finally, a neat little card trick that Tim loves to show people!

Cards are cool. I have a deck where the spades are red and the hearts are black - and a note on the deck says that "It's fun to fool people". When I first read it I thought "Like, no way - the shapes are too different" but later EVERYONE who I played with got confused by it more than once, and were not sure why. Maybe some weird brain thing about associating a color with a shape and a shape with a color...

As a card magician I've seen people get hearts and diamonds confused cuz there both red

I have some pure black playing cards with dull gold hearts and diamonds and silvery spades and clubs. The picture cards are all Dragons too!

As someone in college to be a software engineer I like the cards that were in binary. 1001 equals 9 0110 equals 6 and so forth. That's a 4 bit, from a 8 bit/byte. For those interested binary goes 0/1 ,2,4,8,16,32,64,128 and can equal 255. To find a number like 5 for instance we would do 10100000 because 0/1 would 1 and 4 place equals 5. 10 would 01010000 with the 2 and the 8 place. Or just 0101 for short. Its a little confusing at first but I also am not describing it well either lol like the old saying goes there's 01 type of people who either know binary or not lol

When I studied it at school (years ago) I seem to remember that the digits in binary read from right to left (e.g. 8, 4, 2, 1), yet you have written them starting from left to right, is that the convention you're familiar with?

I'm so glad you're still alive. I haven't watched your videos in a bit, probably because of the UA-cam algorithm changing and not showing your recent videos first, in my feed. Anyways, I just had to look up your channel to see more and hopefully find you were still alive and well, and I was so relieved and thrilled. Your videos bring me much joy, comfort, and love to my inner child. God bless you and may your days be great, as your words and wholesome deeds.

Yep. They got a nice camera with their most recent UA-cam subscriber award. I suspect that combined with their greater experience at UA-cam production motivated them to go back through and redo a lot of them. Plus q big chunk of his audience wasn't around 8-12 years ago and don't watch their entire backlog like you and I, so it's nice for them too.

That is right. Our earliest videos were shot in Standard Definition (SD); we then upgraded to a High Definition (HD) camera for a while, before moving to our latest camera, which is 4K. The old videos in SD looked fine at the time, but now we shoot in 4K, they don't look so good to us any more! So yes, we do sometimes re-shoot old items with the new camera.
