I love building prototypes, the last two days i hyperfocused on building an intranet for the school i work out from scratch and i was able to finish it, it has a login for students drive to store their programming or 3d projects tools for my colleagues like auto face blurring for pics and videos, i also have multiple ideas for startups but in the end i do nothing with it didn't make a single cent with my skills outside my day job and i feel the pressure of disapointing my wife. I see all of these people like you who act on it and succeed not necessarily being a multimillionaire but just the freedom to work on what you love without living paycheck to paycheck. i watched countless of videos like yours others that teach you how to do it, some of them just to give you the motivation to start and act now. But i still don't pinpoint the problem with me. I hope you live a happy life with your wife and continue on doing what you love, i just needed to rant and for some obscure reason it was here.
What you built sounds awesome! to be honest it’s getting the attention to the projects you build that really takes the most effort. it’s unfortunate in a way because these days it’s not always enough to just be a great programmer - you could be a genius but if you don’t also make content or have some way of advertising what you’re working on then no one knows about it. And not everyone wants to be content creator or marketer on top of being an engineer :\ I think that makes it so much harder to get money from side projects sometimes.
Can you please tell me if that 6-month boot camp that you took still exists. It would have to be in Los Angeles area if it did for me to take it . And is there one maybe near me that you like that I could check out? Your recommendation would make the difference, i've got a few of them calling me. Thank you for your great video and sharing your story. Truly and deeply inspirational and motivational. I think you could bypass Jordan Peterson.. he says the same thing over and over again with so many big words.
The specific bootcamp I took does still exist, although it is more expensive now and I believe it has moved to being all virtual. I know bootcamps in general have gotten a lot more saturated since I went, and it’s harder to break in at the entry level of engineering these days.
Hi Sarah, I'm a young grade school graduate. I have a crazy idea for news startup which I tried in my university in the past year and it showed amazing results. I'm looking for an investor to invest $5000 to take off the business. And I don't want to raise any other investors. I feel like you are a person with whom I will be able to work well. I'm planning to hire people from India for basic jobs as it is way cheaper and I have hired some. I won't love to connect with you 1 on 1 and talk about it. Emmanuel
