I've never seen flavoured gelatin (like Jello) in any other form but powdered here. Jello powder is so ubiquitous here and has been around for over 100 years in stores. I had no idea that it wasn't available overseas.

We have powdered plain unflavoured gelatin as well and something called fruit pectin (that comes in liquid and powder) that is used to thicken jams.

Congratulations to EncoreDressage656 on the great graphics. Well done. Those 'watermelon' slices are so cute. Love the black sesame seeds; the size and color was just right.

It depends where you're from, technically Jell-O is just flavored gelatin. c:

I did something like this a while back, I found that the best way to get the lime "shells" to stay still is to place them in a cupcake pan. Hope this helps you out in the future :D

I have one of those! I don't recall how I got it in the first place, I have friends outside the US so maybe one of them brought it or bought it from a food market place, but it is grape and you can even smell it through the plastic bag it was wrapped in. Has an odd blocky shape, but pretty durable. Had the thing for years XD

Quick, Cute, Small and Genius! Much better then my jello idea from rock melon(as a bowl)! If planning to make a bigger or use rock melon(or watermelon) as a bowl, try put some small fruits or cakes(like triffle) at the bottom of the bowl(A lot of it :D) and pour jello all over it until it completely fills the rock melon bowl. Shud try is reallly nice!

If you have dragonfruit where you live, you can puree some and add that along with the strawberry.. Dragon fruit has edible black seeds in them that look similar to sesame! So it's not a bad try!

I saw these on pinterest too and tried using watermelon jello and watermelon schnapps. So incredibly good, tasted just like watermelon jolly rancher. My only complaint was cleaning out the limes was a total pain in the arse! The pin I used said to turn them inside out and peel off membrane, except turning a lime inside out is nearly impossible so I had husband do it, but half the time the limes would crack and then be useless because they leaked..maybe if I let it firm up a little like you did..
