- This was heck of fun, especially as I rolled my "lazy gear" into the video. Lazy Gear = Gear that you've bought that's not getting used! And we know the fault with with the owner, not the gear! Tracked some guitar, piano, and even my old wood flute! Also got to use some long forgotten plugins!
The mechanical keyboard is a qwerkywriter!

Too kind! More vids coming yes! ;)
I dig this video! Lots of details in insight to the workflow.
This guy seems so nice! His videos make me feel happy
Amazing! Could listen to you noodling away forever. (:
i really enjoyed this review. subscribed
Thanks for your comments, man. I somehow didn't notice this presentation, til now .. (I have been following you, you see) .. granular synthing being what mostly attracted me to modular, in the first place. I've got a couple of Beads, .. and the "freeze" aspect of this design has been something that I've not delved into. But, this is inspiring me to go after that aspect of what I have, now. Or, .. maybe I'll be obtaining an Arbhar, someday? .. :)
Great info, thx! Cant get enough granular synthesis myself.
[granular} It's been the biggest driver of inspiration for me in a long time! Thanks for stopping by!
Suprised there’s so few hardware granular offerings. Hope it follows the wavetable suit (another synthesis fav).
Dude that wood flute with reverb sounds just amazing . I need to record some saxophone haha
Thank you for stopping by! yeah anything with rich harmonics, the arbhar can do some magic for sure! It's one of the most "musical" granular synths. It's very thoughtful. So while you don't get the "kitchen sink" features like the GR-1, it focuses on the small set of solid features that's unique to their design philosophy. I'll be posting some new vids on the arbhar with like a host of acoustic instruments so stay tuned. I think you'll like it!
@@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE look forward to it subscribed haha ! It would be interesting to see like a mic on the modular itself to record straight in without a daw
I did some black and death metal vocals into the Arbhar, for kicks and giggles. The results were quite fun. I especially liked messing with the time and pitch values after that. Just using all sorts of sounds and experimenting until something pops as interesting :)
Omg that sounds amazing - u need to post it!
This instrument is still a mystery to me . But thank you for your video .
What tuning is that on guitar? its not standard
To me the best part of Arbhar is not being a 6 track granular processor as you showed but instead using the onset input and having it follow along with audio in real time using the detection and hold circuits. It does that better than any granular processor available. That and the reverb mode….
Great insight! Appreciate the feedback!!!
A granular sandwich.. a granwich, if you will
