Personally, Made in Heaven is one of the best romantic movies in all the time and one of my favorites.

I love this film too, it sends shivers up my spine everytime I watch it! I hadn't watched it for years and years and I rented it from Amazon a few months ago, it still had the same effect on me. So lovely

I've held on to the VHS tape for this movie since childhood, no one else seemed to be as in love with it as me. The tape itself seems to be a type of test tape as it has a timer running in the corner throughout the entire film. Kind of made it even more special.

This was a wonderfully written screenplay, great casting, with a beautiful selection of music. But the woman who sang "We've never danced in the film was "Matraca Berg" who didn't get enough credit.
"Made in Heaven" reminds of another low budget film "Somewhere in Time."
Both these films despite a very small budget, found a major audience that continues to grow.
I haven't seen 'Somewhere in Time', but, if you liked Made in Heaven you may also like 'Here comes Mr. Jordan' (remade in the 70's as Heaven can Wait).
Both movies are two of my favs and watched them both this weekend.

Somewhere in Time saved my life, after a failed marriage, like in Made in Heaven, knowing I was searching for the woman I had dreamed of in 1976 , in 1996 I saw a picture of my Alese McKinna and she was from Russia, that was 25 years ago and at age 51
I found her and now I have been blessed with 3 children ages 16,12,10 and a loving wife. I went to see Somewhere in Time 17 times while it was in theaters, the theater manager gave me 5 free tickets, saying I had been so many times, I shared them with friends. I was slower than Elmo as it took me longer than 30 years to find her, and just as in the movie she found me at age 51.In my life of 75 years I have got to live out all my favorite movies, including others like Pretty Woman,City Slickers, Its a Wonderful Life and the song by Ringo Starr " You Never know Which Way life is Going to Take You.

This song is so Great!! And being the huge Neil Young Fan that I am, I never knew that he wrote, or performed this song!! I saw the Movie called "Made in Heaven"...starring Timothy Hutton, and loved the song ever since....I then heard it played on University of PA Public Radio, WXPN...88.5 FM Philadelphia. The song has an eery Heavenly sound to it, just gotta love it, especially when the Great Vocalist "Martha Davis" of "The Motels" sings it!! Amazing!! Then I heard Neil Young's version afterward, after seeing the Movie and hearing it.....and Neil does an Amazing Job also, just different!! Male and Female versions....Both Beautiful!!

If you watch carefully you will notice the film grain and lighting suddenly change mid scene where Kelly McGillis is walking down the pavement, realises Timothy Hutton is close and turns around. The original film ending was they never found each other but following screen test audiences unhappy with it the studio forced the director Alan Rudolph to change it to a happy ending. The film would have been even more powerful with the original ending. In life we dont all meet our soulmate. I'm 56 and like Timothy Hutton said in the film ' there is someone in my life but I haven't found her yet'. Good luck to everyone looking for that special person.
