Definitely a fun band.. completely not serious. If I recall correctly, the band was formed as a college joke/prank.. and it became so popular that they just kep doing it.. for like 30 years so far. Going to one of their concerts is like going to a Gallagher show.. ya better bring a rain slicker if you are near the stage b/c ya will get covered in fake blood and who knows what else. It's more like a party than a concert.
they are satire metal punk band that does comedy stuff in video with custom they have. also the lead singer member has mind of his own. and some time will attack the band and crowd with man juice. it once got free took gwar to court in one there movie videos on VHS
Yeah..they have a special group of fans. One of my best friends always went to see them. He always had a good time and laughed about it. So to each their own..just like you said. More power to them.

Awesome review hard to jump into to it look up RAWG gwar out of costume you'll definitely be able to appreciate their music. they are the most underrated bands who have been making metal for 30 yrs because people can't get past their stage show ,love the channel keep up the good work. Try love surgery by them thanx for the honest reactions man
The costumes are ridiculous, but the musicianship is off the chart! These are seasoned musicians, you would be surprised at how good they are minus the costumes.

You are correct in that is silly. Hey don’t take themselves too seriously. The guys in the band are really really smart. They met in college. Their singer has his doctorate. That’s right, he’s a fuckin doctor! Crazy, right?
I think this is part of why people don't know what to make of them: they're good. But they're not serious. That confuses some people. We need more music from people who laugh at themselves.

It would be better to go see them live. Check them out on the AV Club doing covers of shitty songs making them killer. And their fans are called Bohabs.
