Lovely story. The only objection I have is these stories end so abruptly without even an epilogue.
I am only in the story about 12 minutes and it is so much like another one I have, only in that one the mother is not kind at all. We will have to see how this one pans out but I will say in the other it runs down her father's line ( he also treats her horribly).
How does the Admiral know of her wig by that 1st ball at about the 1:34:00 mark? Did I miss an incident or is Nora paranoid?
He doesn’t know. Nora is just paranoid and is certain that he has figured it out.

Yes, agreed. I've found that to be the case with many other audiobooks as well. Maybe one day UA-cam will upgrade their volume tool to allow for that. One can hope.
I disagree.. I enjoyed it exactly as it was spoken and found the pace perfect for a relaxing evening of listening.
