I have found that if you wear clothes that are too big for you, they make you look bigger than you really are because of all the extra fabric.
For those that are still concerned about weight fluctuations and having the money to replace, consider styles that fluctuate with you. I vary 2 sizes in the course of a month, wrap skirts, empire waist dresses, bottoms with a drawstring that actually works are all great options.
Erica when you lived in the other house and Andy was away, each video you made had you looking so overwhelmed and alone, however you were motivated to continue decluttering your huge pile, now it is so lovely to see the smile on your face all the time and I can just tell how much calmer within yourself and your belongings you are. I'm gonna tell you the same thing I just told "Hoader's Heart"...That was so much fun! I declare you the winner of the challenge!!. Same thing happened to me. I decluttered my house and then I suddenly had enough time, energy and confidence to declutter ME! I have lost 130 pounds and went from a size 24 to a 12. I totally get how much fun it is to get those loose clothes out of the closet. Congratulations to you!

I love how your minimalism journey is wider than just your things. You look fantastic and it’s terrific you are spending time on yourself. Personally, I don’t own a scale, and haven’t for most of life, because I can get fixated on the numbers instead of how I feel. As a almost 50-year old It’s more important for me to feel strong ( I like to strength train and do a variety of activity) and feel good in my clothes instead of being at a particular weight. Perhaps you want to minimize and donate your scale and just continue on with your good habits and exercise. Love that you are documenting your journey.

Another look for that long sleeve green/blue top, tie a knot in the front on one side! Or if that takes too much fabric, do the penny trick! >> Hold a penny to the front, then from the underside grab the penny and tie a hair tie around it. Lookin good!

I am thrilled at your progress. I work at it. I was a bit bigger than you were a few years ago and lost 84 pounds. It wasn’t easy. And now I’m stuck. I have learned, that raising your heart rate burns calories. I’m mostly, and diligent about doing hi impact walking UA-cam videos. It also takes time but it makes a difference. I’m pretty small on top. My weight hits my hips and thighs mostly.So the high impact walking exercises works for me. Good luck on your continued journey. You’re looking great

Congratulations Erica. So happy for your achievement. Do not go by your scales. I learnt from a nutritionist that fat is like cotton. It does not weight much & even if you drop sizes, it will not necessarily reflect in the scales. The bones carry the majority of the weight. If you're building muscle, that will have weight too. Continue with your fitness journey & healthy eating. You can also work on toning your body. You are an inspiration to us all.

I just did a major declutter of all the clothes i have stored in hopes of fitting back into. I have been putting clothes in totes in my attic for the past 10 years. I have had 3 kids in that time frame and every time I think I will lose the weight and fit back into things. Obviously it hasn’t happened. So like you I am on a newly invigorated health journey, and also I have been on a minimal-ish journey like you. So I have decide to let go of everything in the totes and I will reward myself with new and on trend items when I lose the weight!

Smiling and yes it's a whole shift to move from a number on the scale determining success to all the other changes you are experiencing. I personally had a certain number as my goal. That has since changed as I realized muscle weighs more and would I take issue with the number if I were fit and feeling my best? 💥 ah ha! So now it's about how I feel and how clothes fit with the scale providing data and a marker along the way🤜 also just heard gal say, "My body is not meant to fit clothing, clothing is meant to fit my body."

I am also on a weightloss journey and I was a large and in some stuff now I am a medium and the scale doesn't say a thing but I can tell in my clothes and I feel better, way to go. You look amazing in those new clothes

Another look for that long sleeve green/blue top, tie a knot in the front on one side! Or if that takes too much fabric, do the penny trick! >> Hold a penny to the front, then from the underside grab the penny and tie a hair tie around it. Lookin good!

Erica, I’m also in a 18W/1X. You have motivated me. I did the same with donating clothes either too big or small and treating myself to things that fit. Your excitement is contagious. As with decluttering, weight loss is about progress not perfection. Keep it up! 🎉🎉🎉!
I am thrilled at your progress. I work at it. I was a bit bigger than you were a few years ago and lost 84 pounds. It wasn’t easy. And now I’m stuck. I have learned, that raising your heart rate burns calories. I’m mostly, and diligent about doing hi impact walking UA-cam videos. It also takes time but it makes a difference. I’m pretty small on top. My weight hits my hips and thighs mostly.So the high impact walking exercises works for me. Good luck on your continued journey. You’re looking great

Congratulations Erica. So happy for your achievement. Do not go by your scales. I learnt from a nutritionist that fat is like cotton. It does not weight much & even if you drop sizes, it will not necessarily reflect in the scales. The bones carry the majority of the weight. If you're building muscle, that will have weight too. Continue with your fitness journey & healthy eating. You can also work on toning your body. You are an inspiration to us all.

I just did a major declutter of all the clothes i have stored in hopes of fitting back into. I have been putting clothes in totes in my attic for the past 10 years. I have had 3 kids in that time frame and every time I think I will lose the weight and fit back into things. Obviously it hasn’t happened. So like you I am on a newly invigorated health journey, and also I have been on a minimal-ish journey like you. So I have decide to let go of everything in the totes and I will reward myself with new and on trend items when I lose the weight!

Congratulations on your size change! From your haul the white dress is the most flattering piece you bought! You could put a light small print floral or plain tee shirt under it to cover bra straps. Smiling and yes it's a whole shift to move from a number on the scale determining success to all the other changes you are experiencing. I personally had a certain number as my goal. That has since changed as I realized muscle weighs more and would I take issue with the number if I were fit and feeling my best? 💥 ah ha! So now it's about how I feel and how clothes fit with the scale providing data and a marker along the way🤜 also just heard gal say, "My body is not meant to fit clothing, clothing is meant to fit my body."
