Me with ADHD I don’t know about the brands because my insurance don’t cover it. But generic aderall did work for me for about the first 3 weeks. But I felt real normal after that. Witch I probably needed to up the does. I take time to listen to my body. But my doctor and I decided to try a non stimulant. Witch I’m starting today. Atomoxetine (Strattera) generic. I’ve heard a lot of bad news on them. Witch is ok for me. I don’t let the negative make my thoughts alter. So I’m willing to try it In a positive mind. I just took one right now 😂. Let’s see what happens. Thanks for the information. I’ll be following your videos.
How did You get a Prescription of Adderall in the UK on the NHS? My doctor told me that it isn't licensed for use in the UK, just wondering what route you took?
I’ve used both and prefer brand through and through. Do yourself/selves a favor and look up different AXR generic meds’ inactive ingredients and you’ll likely find how disgustingly much they vary and with what they do vary of. Lactose, sucrose, shellac, multiple food colorings, gluten… not to mention the ranging and ineffective time release distribution from pill to pill. I don’t know how it else elsewhere, but in the USA the FDA and the suits who make the relaxed approvals for generics to be acceptable for distribution (active ingredients can legally range from +/- 20% PER pill and still be approved) the market is a disgusting and misleading wasteland. Consider reading Bottle of Lies, you’ll initially hate yourself for doing it but then find a way to thank yourself later. Oh, and I know I say all of this as if brand name is an easily affordable purchase… but I know way too well that’s in no way the case for most of us, myself included.
I’ve taken pretty much everything on the market. Ritalin, Concerta, mixed amphetamine salts, etc. That’s only some of them. Currently prescribed Vyvanse and a booster dose of dextroamphetamine. Definitely the best combination so far. I’ve got so much academic literature on amphetamines... In fact, I’m writing a paper in my developmental psychology class about the best types of treatments for ADHD across lifespan. Glad to have found your channel.
I just recently got diagnosed and it’s been life changing, but I’ve only tried the off brand Ritalin and off brand aderall so far. I felt more willing to get stuff done on Ritalin but I started on 20mg and I would have a 2-3 hour window then crash super hard and have to sleep. But holding my dose made me not feel motivated at all.. I’m on adderall 20mg a day and I don’t really like it.. it’s keeping my brain clear but it’s not actually helping me with motivation, it just makes me super focused on my distractions and I feel super forgetful.. I’ve been researching as much as I can but I am just not sure. They all just tablets not XR.. can someone give me advice
That’s interesting. Thanks for sharing. If you’re doing that research, please read this... www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/jacobsullum/2014/02/20/hyperbole-hurts-the-surprising-truth-about-methamphetamine/amp/ A great scandal has taken place regarding medicinal methamphetamine. Solid scientific research shows its no more addictive than Adderall but there was a campaign to stigmatize it and I feel like it came from people who get huge budget increases or from companies who compete with this old unpatentable medicine. Patient reviews of this medicine (Desoxyn) are all very good and most say it is the best medicine they’ve ever used.
I'm on a generic adderall all-day and ever since I switched from name brand, I notice a difference. 30 minutes after taking it, I feel the suppressed appetite for a little bit, then nothing, meaning it doesn't help my focus or anything the way the brand name did. I want to clarify that I notice it does something, as when I don't take it my inattention is worse, but the brand name was much more effective for me. I cannot get motivated the same way on generic, as I sit here looking up why my stimulant isn't working for me when the same dose different brand worked miracles, when I should be working on a project that was due two days ago but I can't seem to get done.. :') Very interesting (and slightly frustrating).
Like several of the other commenters, I was on generic Adderall, then switched to Vyvanse. Vyvanse is a lot more expensive, as there is no generic, but it works a whole lot better for me. It’s smoother.
Me with ADHD Me with ADHD I think that depends on the dose. Adderall, well the generic version, was too much for me. It made me very intense, and it was hard for me to take it midday. It is definitely my most expensive prescription. I’m in the US, so I’m not sure what copays are like elsewhere. It doesn’t necessarily have less effect, but the effects are more gradual and last a lot longer. The generic Adderall was about four hours, it felt like I would jump onto it, then jump off. With Vyvanse, I don’t always notice it going into affect. It takes longer, but it lasts somewhere around ten hours. I have only been on those two, and I’m still figuring everything out. Both are definitely an improvement to not taking anything.
@Bethany Gladding try Dexedrine. Vyvanse is essentially the same exact thing... It's lisdexafetamine which is a pro-drug of dextroamphetamine/Dexedrine, in other words, it converts to d-amphetamine/Dexedrine as soon as you take it, and since the patent has expired and it's been around forever, it's probably very cheap.
I found the gerics work different from eachother. The authorised generic isn't the same as all the generics. I found this out after a month of ineffective meds.
@@bartman1238 No it is not. Quit spewing nonsense. Yes, the active ingredients are the same but the fillers are not and generics tend to be made cheaply overseas. Some people do not react well to the fillers in certain generics
From what I understand and what my pharmacist has tried to explain to me- there is no “ name brand “ for the IR. It was Shire, and they sold the rights and the formula over to Teva in like 2008 or something? Idk dates lol. But the XR is the only type of adderall that is “ brand name “ My doctor writes on my script that I need the Teva brand because I’ve literally broken out in hives other generics and then went a month taking the Aurobido (sp) brand & it was legit the worst thing ever. It made me feel awful. Teva is also really hit or miss for me each month as well but they are by far the most consistent. It totally is NOT formulated the exact same each time, because I notice such a significant difference also having a allergic reaction to one and not the other??? Like idk... But it’s kind of scary. And it’s also something people don’t talk about very often, when brought up in conversation people are always super short and move on to another subject quickly. I think it should be very cut & dry and presented in a clear way for people to understand. Because I haven’t talked to one person yet that has explained to me the process- and had facts to back it up.
Teva and sandos are far better then name brand..I live in south fl..palmbeach county and its teva every month..and they are everywhere..I have no problem filling 60 ...30mg tablets...my dosage was 90 ..30mg tabs...I would go right to Costco and fill....remember Costco is a buy in bulk store..if you note the pharmacy there has hudge bottles called tanks of every med ..also depending on what part of the country you're in..when a compony reaches is max cwote in a region it can no longer send there meds therefore another company comes in...
HOLY CRAP, ME TOO! I AGREE, TEVA IS WAY BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MNFR. (GENERALLY) CONTAINS LESS INACTIVE "BINDER-FILLER" MATERIAL PER PILL. NOTICED THIS WHEN TESTING OUT MY NEW SCALE 15MG IR & 20MG IR
Don’t forget that there is also a vast difference between generic brands, I swear it’s night and day. Sadly, as Chris said, we have to play guinea pig between name, generic, and each generic manufacturer. Personally, I found Sandoz extended release amphetamine salts (generic adderall xr) the best generic for me. Apparently, others find it releases too quickly or does not give them the benefit of other generic brands. Generally, I try to stay away from ANY meds manufactured in INDIA. There’s always some sort of debacle on faked accreditation and lab analysis. I couldn’t care less if that hasn’t proven true for EVERY generic manufactured in India that made me feel worse or no benefit at all.
Do you have to call around pharmacies for the Sandoz? And then also do you ask your doctor to change your pharmacy every month while you try to find what works?
@@CBull015 I had to myself, yes. Once you a find a pharmacy with a distributor that carries the generic that works best with you, always make sure to call ahead at least a couple of weeks to make sure they can, or is projected to have it in stock. You have to develop a relationship with that particular pharmacy once you find one. I didn't have to chance my pharmacy as they stick with the same distributor. It's different for Walgreen's, CVS, etc.
Me with ADHD I’ve taken both and was diagnosed ADHD over 18 years ago. Adderall definitely works the best for me personally and loves the shares and awareness your bring!
It all depends where you get your adderall from and Which dose.. if it has a b on the front of the pill, then you're getting TEVA (manufacturers non and generic brand of adderall) that's the only generic I can actually take without giving me headaches.. because.. that's only because teva is the MAIn manufacturer for adderall hope I'm making sense ❤
@@MewithADHDI've done so much research for the generics of adderall.. they there are 201 companies with the formula to dextroamp-amphetamines with salt combos... they all use fillers and shit and I'm so upset right now I could blow a gasket because they have Givin me e404 pill (sandoz pharma) last month.. and this month they gave me a un-nature pink looking pill.. THEY BOTH make me have headaches I'm NOT FOCUSED not organized, I've been so very emotional with both of these (I'm about to go into a emotional breakdown) because when you get prescribed a medication you expect to be the same every single month, BUT these last two months it hasn't.. I have nightmares and VERY BAD TICS because these medications.. GENERICS.. I just want to fucking be at peace... I want to feel normal again.. PLEse I feel so dark sad and lonely so depressed :(
I have no clue if it is or different. I'm on the generic kind right now. I'm loving the weight loss that goes with it. btw, drinking a ton of water today is helping. my brain was in overdrive mode lol
Ahh that's good! I never got that whole weight loss thing I ate just as much if not more when I started taking it! But that's good if it makes you happy :) I find drinking lots of water helps too!
Me with ADHD yeah losing weight bc I'm sitting still in front of my computer for 6-8 hrs so quiet and focused I noticed I read better like I'm not reading with my "eyes" like schiming through it. I'm taking it in. Yeah I didn't know Adderall was a diuretic the Walgreens pharmacist told me that it makes me pee a lot
Ahh okay haha yeah that's good that you can focus better :) I hate it when I read stuff like 5 times and it never goes in! 😂 I couldn't say I've experienced nightmares because of the Adderall, I mean I've had bad dreams and stuff while taking it but I've been taking it long enough now that most things have happened in that time so I couldn't account it to the medication lol, but when I began taking it I never experienced that at all
Apparently the FDA defines bioequivalence as the generic product is within 80 to 125% percent of the original product, seems bioequivalence doesn't mean exactly the same. But saying that most people don't seem to notice a difference apparently but we are all different so you do you 👍
They are very very very very different. I was using main brand and now insurance won’t cover it. They switched me to generic it’s changed my world. Turned it up side down. 😭
John Marshall Were you taking XR or regular? I have been taking generic XR for years and I got name brand for the first time ever this month. My wife picks up my prescription for me and didn’t tell me it was name brand until I asked if it was different after taking it. I felt like everything is much smoother on name brand adderall. Honestly I didn’t know that adhd medicine could come without jitters until this month.
Just been to pick up my adhd meds, out of stock. Luckily they managed to cobble together enough to fulfill my prescription by mixing brands, tranquilyn and ritalin. And here I am seeing if it will make a difference. Sidenote, your accent sounds like burnley meets texas. Love it. 😂
My insurance usually only covers the generic. The only time it didn’t was for regular instant release Adderall, and the Vyvanse I’m currently taking, which there isn’t a generic for on the market.
Me with ADHD I didn’t notice a difference between the brand name and generic Adderall. I did notice a big difference though when I switched Vyvanse. It doesn’t have the “amped up“ effect. So no irritability, raised heart rate, sweaty pits, and no crash at the end, just a nice gentle landing when it wears off.
I'm definitely coming to realize that in the course of titrating type and dosage of ADHD meds with my doc that when I have had excessive side effects it has tended to be from certain generic versions of Adderall. At this point, I seem to respond best to the Teva brand IR version and would rather take doses more frequently during the day than pop an XR and wonder how the day is going to go or if I'll get to sleep that night.
Teva USED to be the best generic, but my last two bottles from Walgreens have been SUPER bad quality. I mean - sugar pill. My Apple Watch has my average heart rate for the last two months as low-medium, whereas it’s been normal for years prior to that. One day, I found an old Lannett pill and I was literally back to normal. I hate this.
Perfect timing! My doctor changed my meds from instant release to depot slow realese, but my first day on it was really uncomfortable. I just started on my medication about two weeks ago with a generic version of Ritalin, and it was really great. I worked my way up from taking 10mg in the morning, then another one around lunch and then one more in the afternoon. So I was taking 3x10 mg, and it was great, then i tried a generec version of concerta, the actavis 36 mg. The dose is slightly higher, and I don’t know how fast it realeases the meds, but after about 3 hours I started to feel off. The next 5-6 hours were really wierd, I felt like a zombie. Normally I can’t actively feel the 10 mg instant relese, I just feel calm and able to switch my focus, but with this new depot version, I really felt off. I felt very calm and sluggish, no motivation, emotions or impulses to do anything. I was relieved when it finally wore off and I felt like myself again. Today I went back to 3x10 mg, but I know I have to try it out again, and I hope the side effects might tone down after a few tries. So I looked it up and it sounds like some concerta generics can feel quite different, because the release mechanism differs. It might just be the dose is too high for me, anyone with a similar experience? Love the channel! I found it so usefull, and hearing your experience really helped me. I was diagnosed just before christmas. I was a bit anxious about it all, but in the end it’s been a huge relief to finally know what’s been going on with me. Congrats again on the channel! It was only a bit over 200 when I first saw your videoes and you altrady got so many.
Hey there! You have really been watching since then! :) Thank you for the support!! So I had a very similar feeling to what your describing when I was on 30mg Adderall xr! It turned out that 30mg was too strong for me and it was over medicating me, maybe that's what's happening? 36mg is quite a lot I think so maybe that 6mg extra makes a difference, also the fact that your taking a whole 36 at once as oppose to taking 10mg at a time, because the way you have it now your only really feeling the effects of 10mg at a time! Maybe there is a lower dosage of the extended version? Something closer to 10mg?
Me with ADHD Thank you for the reply ^-^ I rewatched your 6 months on adderall video yesterday, and it was interesting to hear again, now that I tried the 36mg. I think there is a version with a lower dose, and I’ll bring the issue up with my doctor at my next appointmemt if it keeps being the same. I have a friend who got diagnosed a few years ago and we both enjoy your channel. We really appriciate your work. Thanks again.
@@zhegingerness Hi Louise - I know this reply is three years late lol. You are bang-on noticing the difference between generic Concerta and brand name Concerta. Pharmacies in Canada no longer carry (excp. by request) generic Concerta, for this very reason. TLDR; *extended release* generics (specifically) do not necessarily function the same as brand name counterparts. Reason being, the patented release mechanism *remains* patented; only the active ingredient goes *off* patent. Conversely, *Instant release* generics are usually indistinguishable from their brand name counterparts, as the technology of a pressed pill is negligible, compared to, say, the patented OROS release mechanism. LONG VERSION: Generic Concerta (Actavis/TEVA) has the same amount of medication as brand name Concerta, but the patented Oros release mechanism (Janssen Pharma) is completely different (than the Actavis/TEVA generic). In Canada, there have been so many complaints about generic Concerta exhibiting flawed release mechanism, that pharmacies no longer carry the GENERIC version! While it is true that Generic and brand name medications must contain the same amount of active ingredient (+/- 20%, but closer to +/- 4%) for regulatory approval, this is the *only* tested parameter; *efficacy equivalence* is not tested (nor a requirement) prior to market release. There have been a few newsworthy cases involving other XR meds going generic, specifically Wellbutrin, and several blood pressure medications. Post-market FDA studies were conducted, and sure enough, plasma concentrations exhibted significant variance from the branded equivalents. Concidentally (? lol), TEVA was the distributor in both cases. The culprit - a flawed release mechanism. Ask me for sources and I will send you links (or pop this into Google).
Hi im taking concerta but sadly they gave me the generic, cause strattera ( generic) didn't work! But a lit ehile ago someone got me a aderral 25mg 😊and i almost cry the way it made my feel ! I never ever felt like that day for yrs and yrs a felt normal 😢

YOu have such a great channel :)! Currently in uni and struggling with even a basic major and have an assessment appointment on Feb 27th. You have provided so much comfort and calm to me with your videos. Thank you!
I'm struggling too. I'm in mechanical engineering, and until now I've been smart enough to still get good grades without studying or doing all of my assignments. But now I just cant. It's too much complex material. You're not alone, and I hope you get the treatment you need! I see a psychologist to get evaluated tomorrow
I got diagnosed with ADHD when I was in elementary school and been taking prescription medication since. Long story short I’m grown now prescribed 30mg Adderal XR but the pharmacy’s always give me the generic versions. I got the feeling the name brand is better and I legitimately need this medication but I also don’t wanna look like I’m up to some fraudulent shit asking for the brand that gotta say ADDERAL on it😂😂 Last thing I want is a red flag at the pharmacy so y’all that’s tried both tell me is the name brand worth it? And about how much more do y’all be paying ?
Brand name is worth it and insurance covers it with prior authorization. The generics insurance was paying ten dollars. Forty dollars out of pocket. Brand name is almost two thousand my insurance pays about $980 I pay zero. They tell you it's the same but it's not.
@@itocanas2986 there is no brand name adderall xr or ir. The original shire adderall formula has been long gone. The brand ones by teva are simply their generics rebranded and repackaged. Neither of which is the original formula or mfg plant. The only true generic that ever existed was BAR pharmaceuticals ir tablets around 10 years ago. But those discontinued when bar stopped making them shortly after teva bought bar.
aggree many experience it and they make thier life a risk plus you have to pay to take chaqnces on destroying your life and others. they will do anything to you to take your free part of life eeven death to change it.
Ive only ever bee on generic but notice a difference on each different manufacturer. I cat remember them all but pay attention when I first get the bottle. Im sure name brand would be better for me but I already have to pay out of pocket for generic so there's no way I can afford name brand.
I’m inspired to switch from my 30 IR generic to name brand XR and lower the dose cause it’s practically the same price and I’ve learned a lot w these videos
Tried TEVA 10MG first and it really helped, tried Oryza next made me tired... trying Sandoz currently and I will try Rhodes next. What I have noticed is some generics say amphetamine salts and the others say Amphet /Dextro tablets. Sandoz is good btw but I'll update as the week continues
I was prescribed Adderall xr for months then all of a sudden switched to generic. And It doesn’t last as long as the name brand. ADHD meds are the only medications I have experienced the way the generic vs name brand is so different
Ive been on vyvanse with break periods for 6 years now, Last weekend i picked up my prescription of vyvanse and i didn’t even know they switched it to the generic. (New generic for vyvanse) I proceeded to have a panic attack and accidentally injure myself and need stitches, because now my i insurance will only cover the generic. I had to pay for the brand name out of pocket and they destroyed the generic, removing my last refill, and my doctor is also moving away so mow i only have 27 more days to get a new doctor… it has been a time…
[Adderall, Vyvanss helps a lot in treatment of ADHD, Anxiety, PTSD and lot me. i could guide to the specialist i got some from reliable and also guides newbies]
Amohetamines aren’t in the stimulant class. Stimulants act on histamines, glutamate and D1-D3 receptors by increasing the amount of dopamine observed. Amphetamines act directly on the adrenal glands to flush out adrenaline that is converted to an excess of dopamine in the synapse. While you can say amphetamines are stimulating but you can’t say amps are a stimulant. It’s comparing adderall to nicotine or Dexedrine to caffeine.
Thanks for taking that poll and giving the feedback, amigo. Getting some gross headaches from the Epic Pharma 15mg Adderall but it still works. Got extra gnarly headaches from the generic XR Adderall I was taking prior to this. I have heard from some folks online that Teva generic Adderall does not cause headaches.
If you're using Xr, just get the generic Prasco as it's an authorized generic which means it's exactly the same and made in the same Factory as the name brand
@@NadeemAhmed-nv2br hey! Which pharmacy carries Prasco? Pharmacies around here won’t confirm which generics they have over the phone.. well two would but neither of them carry that
My pharmacy for the first time swapped my 20mg Adderall IR and gave me the generic. It’s now a pink oval and weighs 25mg as opposed to 20 previously with the hexagonal off- white Adderall. I don’t like the color additives nor the fact that they’re adding who knows what else to the dextroamphetamine/amphetamine.. mayyyybe it’s a placebo effect but I definitely notice a different. Takes longer to kick in and seems to have a longer half-life. For what it’s worth I’ve been on 20mg IR 2x a day for a year and a half now EDIT: I split them up throughout the day. Sometimes I take more, sometimes less, and sometimes none at all
I just started taking adhd medication. My doctor started me out on 10mg of ampheta/dextro twice a day. After a few days of taking the medication it hasn't done a damn thing for me. No effect whatsoever. I'm bummed out.
I was prescribed D-Amphetamine salt combo pills and it says substituted for adderall? Is there a reason I was prescribed this instead of name brand adderall?
I had the same provlem. If its walmart, have your Doc send the med saying (Do not Substitute for Generic) and Make sure you are paying upwards of $240 plus.
Just filled my first prescription and it was the Aurobindo brand instant release. It is horrible. I don’t feel anything from it other than the side effects... going back to the doctor and probably just going to try the extended release which I’m assuming would be the Actavis brand since I would get it from CVS. Not sure what the best brand of XR would be, guess it’s just trial and error...
Aurobindo is awful. Generic only has to be 70% similar to the original. The fillers do make huge differences between genders and age and body size. It’s not like we have choices for adderral anymore because the company sold it away. Now it’s a crap shoot every month. And going to different pharmacies and ASKING for a specific brand gets you flagged as a drug seeker. For those who don’t ever notice a difference between brands, that’s wonderful for you but for us that do it becomes a maddening experience that makes you feel crazy because of videos such as this. He does mention there can be differences but it’s the way he states the evidence that bothers me. He says he asked his viewers...okay, who are they exactly? Men? Women? Teens? Older folks? This matters as much as the size of the group in whole. And until it’s a randomized double blind survey it’s not very reliable. Please try and do one! It’s possible. Until then, don’t make a video on this subject without mentioning the drawbacks to the anecdotal evidence of your youtube viewers. I am not trying to be a jerk, but this is something that effects my entire life.
Hera Hagstoz Yeah it just sucks that it’s so hard to find something that works good anymore. After all the side effects and not being effective on the Aurobindo I went back to my doctor and now I’m switched to the 20mg Actavis brand XR’s. Been on it for 2 days and so far a major difference. Gives me that extra bit of focus and absolutely no side effects yet.
Some one please tell me if sabdiz Adderall is any good because I've tried them all and Teva was the best then I found out they are authorized generic. Meaning they have the right to make it exactly the way same exact formula. Anyone who thinks that your going to get the same feeling from any generic is stupid. The combination of fillers that other companies use is not at all the same. I'm watching this video and you didn't do your homework. The authorized has a 2 percent wiggle room with the exact weight of each filler..the active must be the same for all but I believe the active only needs to be high 80s low 90s in the percentage of active ingredients and the inactive ingredients can be well off with a generic. It could be up to 17 percent off. They could use inferior fillers. When you get American made pills they seem to be way better but everyone will be shocked if you saw his they make them in Indonesia and India there using terrible equipment and terrible ingredients. American companies have people eagle eyeing the batches. In other countries not so much. Some European companies are ok but I'll give an example Phizer authorized generic not just generic Authorized preferred is Greenstone. Every thing made by Greenstone is great because they must meet the same exact standards and use the same exact formulation as Phizer . The Viagra is great then try some other generic it's crap. It's not just the fact that the active ingredients are 97 or better percent the same but the inactive ingredients are the same. I read that other genetics have an 8 percent off.
Hey guys, I suffer from ADHD, and my doctor suddenly changed my Addy meds, due to elevated heartrate, and they said they were worried about my heart, which does makes sense.. But my Life is turning into a living hell without my meds, any advice ? on how to address this ?
Can some tell me if adderall XR EQ is generic?? I got prescribed 5mg. And been bumping my dose every day I still don’t feel nothing. Ive taken 5,10,20 and today 30mg and still don’t feel nothing. The only thing I did feel was a little thirsty and was a LITTLE sociable since I am very antisocial. and that’s big because I’m a very quiet person and shy.
No they are not the same but could be generic. 5mg is very little. Doctor kind of thought your brittle by the way you assume your self. if your shy you might be better off with 60mg. Sensative shy and abused low self person needs high dose because they had to much stress possibly altering adrenal glands witch also very much effect your SSRI' DOPAMINE Cortisols levels Immunity DNA . You need and deserve just like any one else.
ive been given a white pill with a square and an M in the middle, what is this cause I feel like I just smoked a bowl, wow 1/4 th of a pill and im efen high could you help me
@I I go to CVS... They are hit or miss... I went 8 months with Sandoz and this month they gave me Lannett. They said Sandoz and Teva are on back order and are very hard to get right now. Alot of people say Lannett is horrible, but I actually think it's pretty good. It just takes a but longer to start working.
I have been curious about that, but yet ive also heard that most generic brand of ANY kinds of medications also contains tiny glass shards. My mom was taking generic pain medication and almost found out too late when her kidneys were damaged because of it. thankfully its not too late, her kidneys can heal from the damage
Thats the thing though, I don't thnk the FDA checks absolutely everything like they are supposed to. I don't recall everything saying FDA approved. Either way my mom tends to stay away from the generic stuff because of what it caused her kidneys.
Goran i agree and had side effects from generic. i actually hate this side effect they use. like a side dish or some thing. side effects the same its damage is what it is. we have this life don't don't need extra hell in it.
@@MewithADHD the FDA does not batch test every medication and inspections are rarely done in India and China where the vast majority of generics are manufactured. Best tip someone can do is try to get generic drugs that are manufactured in 1st world nations. The glass thing seems far fetched tho. In order to end up in your kidneys the glass would have to pass through multiple blood barriers to eventually get to the kidneys, at which point the kidneys should be able to excrete it if it got there in the first place.
Dude, I swear that’s true I only took meds for a few months , and had different addy generics . The first 2 months it worked okay, then I actually got the brand adderal and it worked so well for me, then got on a different generic and it made my adhd way worse and I finally gave up and quit
Deven Clay they are the same thing amphetamine salts is the scientific name of adderall or AKA the generic they should feel completely the same If not you should talk to your doctor to up your dosage
Recently i was on Mydayis for 5 months and went back to Adderall IR. Adderall IR does matter to me when it comes manufacturer not name brand. Aurobindo was by far the worst. Inpax worked like magic to me. Teva Adderall and Teva generic feel the same and are ok.
Massive differences in generics. Mallinckrodt - Should be illegal, Absolutely the worst generic by far and has been known to put patients in the hospital due to its horrendous side effects. Teva - Hands down the best quality by far. The most desirable generic by a mile. Sandoz- Solid quality and a good choice. Alvogen- Depending on your body’s chemistry, this could be a rough time. With a proper diet and good general health you should be ok. Epic- Get ready to clean your entire house for no reason and be mad at most people you come across. Very racy and more difficult to sleep on. Name brand - Almost identical to Teva. As it is made by the exact same manufacturer. My personal recommendation is to find Teva or name brand. The rest is hit or miss.
Glaxo-Smith Kline was the best brand name Dexedrine I’ve ever taken . Sucks that they sold it off . 30 mg could last all day back then . Actavis is so-so. Miss Barr . My favorite by far .
Was on TEVA generic, worked amazing, then one month suddenly horrible side effects, wanted to kill myself, serious rage issues, thought I was losing my mind.

But holding my dose made me not feel motivated at all.. I’m on adderall 20mg a day and I don’t really like it.. it’s keeping my brain clear but it’s not actually helping me with motivation, it just makes me super focused on my distractions and I feel super forgetful.. Solid scientific research shows its no more addictive than Adderall but there was a campaign to stigmatize it and I feel like it came from people who get huge budget increases or from companies who compete with this old unpatentable medicine.

The same experience as mine.
Like several of the other commenters, I was on generic Adderall, then switched to Vyvanse. Vyvanse is a lot more expensive, as there is no generic, but it works a whole lot better for me. It’s smoother.
That's great! Shame it's so expensive though :( I hear it's not as much of a stimulant too right?

NOTICED THIS WHEN TESTING OUT MY NEW SCALE
15MG IR & 20MG IR
Teva has the name brand formulation for the IR. Ive bought the Adderal and Mixed Salt version from TEVA. So there are 2 diff versions from Teva
And yes Aurobindo was crap. Worst thing ever!
Have you guys ever noticed that some XR generic brands don’t fill their capsules as much as adderall does?
Me with ADHD Thank you for the reply ^-^
I rewatched your 6 months on adderall video yesterday, and it was interesting to hear again, now that I tried the 36mg. I think there is a version with a lower dose, and I’ll bring the issue up with my doctor at my next appointmemt if it keeps being the same.

Ask me for sources and I will send you links (or pop this into Google).

mayyyybe it’s a placebo effect but I definitely notice a different. Takes longer to kick in and seems to have a longer half-life.
For what it’s worth I’ve been on 20mg IR 2x a day for a year and a half now
EDIT: I split them up throughout the day.
It can take a while to find a good dose. Also take it with protein in the morning! It will work better
Probably on too low of a dose .
Just got my generic adderall filled 2 days ago which came from the Aurobindo manufacturer. ..........Wait a minute.... what are talking about??? 🤔
Anyone know anything about GAMP xr vs Lannetts? Feel like I am feeling a lot worse and more of a comedown from GAMP and trying to understand
I was prescribed D-Amphetamine salt combo pills and it says substituted for adderall? Is there a reason I was prescribed this instead of name brand adderall?
Insurance reasons is what comes to mind. Some insurances will not cover brand but do cover generics and vice versa
I had the same provlem. If its walmart, have your Doc send the med saying (Do not Substitute for Generic) and Make sure you are paying upwards of $240 plus.
80% is what the generic brands legally have to go by. Been on generic from the start, one year,
Noticeable difference in vyvance named brand vs generic. Weight gain, sluggish, dark pee, barely works.
@@TheCitrusHD Lemme just chime in that Aurobindo is trash and made me all angry and sad
Lannett is a disaster… currently awaiting prior authorization for brand name.
They give me generic and I pay cash ...idk why...
You answered your own question ❔ ❔
Hey Iv been name brand Adderall for 5 years and then went off for 12 years. Starting back on generic brand and it feels kinda the same
May I ask why yo get of of Adderall
unable to get d-amphetamine salt combo since august, any ideas how?
Hey guys, I suffer from ADHD, and my doctor suddenly changed my Addy meds, due to elevated heartrate,
and they said they were worried about my heart, which does makes sense..
But my Life is turning into a living hell without my meds, any advice ?
on how to address this ?
Exercise (mainly cardio) and lose weight to get your baseline heart rate down.
I just got diagnosed with ADHD Nd my Psychiatrist prescribed Adderall 20 mg but I got the generic and it is not doing nothing for me😑
WELL IF ITS NOT DOING NOTHING IT MUST BE DOING SOMETHING? You said it your self.
i use the sandoz adderall generic its good i like it
I'm here because I need to establish what I already know, generic amphetamine salts suck compared to name brand Adderall there night day
I like Vyvanse. Generics are good, I will switch in 2023 when it comes out.
The music is very distracting.
ive been given a white pill with a square and an M in the middle, what is this cause I feel like I just smoked a bowl, wow
1/4 th of a pill and im efen high could you help me
Ey bud you’re close to 1000 now. Congrats! :)
Thanks! Getting there 😅 slowly but surely
Ya go figure
Sandoz works by far the best for me... Teva was like a sugar pill.
I agree.. where do you get Sandoz? I heard CVS Carries it BUT they also carry Aurobindo which is the worst I’ve ever taken
That's weird cause I swear I'm not making this up teva happens to be my favorite and sandoz is my least favorite lol :p
Generic has lactose- causes cramping, nausea if you can’t tolerate dairy.
I have been curious about that, but yet ive also heard that most generic brand of ANY kinds of medications also contains tiny glass shards. My mom was taking generic pain medication and almost found out too late when her kidneys were damaged because of it. thankfully its not too late, her kidneys can heal from the damage
Hey man, I don't think I've ever heard about glass being in medication! There's no way that would be able to happen with the FDA checking everything.
Thats the thing though, I don't thnk the FDA checks absolutely everything like they are supposed to. I don't recall everything saying FDA approved. Either way my mom tends to stay away from the generic stuff because of what it caused her kidneys.
@@MewithADHD FDA seems funny how one would even trust tgier next door today?
Not even close to the same. I feel the difference between Amneal Manufacturer and Name-Brand Adderall XR. Just saying
Got generic after many years of getting brand due to adderall shortage it doesn’t work as well
Dude, I swear that’s true I only took meds for a few months , and had different addy generics . The first 2 months it worked okay, then I actually got the brand adderal and it worked so well for me, then got on a different generic and it made my adhd way worse and I finally gave up and quit
My Adderall doesn’t work like the generic version of it amphetamines salts. Is that normal?
Deven Clay they are the same thing amphetamine salts is the scientific name of adderall or AKA the generic they should feel completely the same
If not you should talk to your doctor to up your dosage
All drugs name brand generic are the same by FDA and federal law
I wasn't able to listen to what you were telling because of the loud music.
Painkillers are not speed
Recently i was on Mydayis for 5 months and went back to Adderall IR. Adderall IR does matter to me when it comes manufacturer not name brand. Aurobindo was by far the worst. Inpax worked like magic to me. Teva Adderall and Teva generic feel the same and are ok.
alternative to concertaua-cam.com/video/fxEh69__2Cw/v-deo.html
How was Mydayis for you?
welp the song is too loud
Has anyone taken generic Focalin?
Magkano yong tritydo
Malinkrodt IR sucks headaches.
Concerta XL is King 👑
Yeah try getting that generic...the generics for that are why I'm switching to Adderall after 20 years
Was on TEVA generic, worked amazing, then one month suddenly horrible side effects, wanted to kill myself, serious rage issues, thought I was losing my mind. Called my doctor, she had me look at the manufacturer and I saw that month it was ZYDUS. Haven't been able to find anywhere with TEVA in stock yet, this month I have LANNET and I don't have the horrible side effects, but it also doesn't work amazing to keep me focused, unlike TEVA which was like totally game changing for my life.
I got TEVA generic and it’s not working for me. What was your experience like?
@@j.t.8320 For me it worked perfectly. I was focused and no mood issues. Definitely helped with all my adhd symptoms especially things like procrastinating and cleaning up. The only thing that for me is similar to brand name. When I was on zydus and lannett I had terrible side effects.
@@j.t.8320 Teva hasn’t been working for people for the last few months… me included. It seems like it’s a recent change. Maybe bad batch(es). I’m def gonna try to get anything else the next time I refill :(
@@strnglhld I agree. I’ve already switched to the brand Adderall, so I won’t be getting anymore generics, ever!
Every body playing russian rullette with the trusted ones.
I feel so bad 🙈 that I skipped a lot through this video
Hope ya don't do it to all the videos? oh my i do it all the time. There is so much click bait going on it ridiculous to know the difference every now and then.
Barr was the worst I've ever had & for me, Teva is awful -I refuse it every time & would rather go without.
Desoxyn baby.......Desoxyn.......
R u telling me if I buy an off brand iPhone it’s the same as an original iPhone ?
Lol I dunno if that's the same thing 😆
Me with ADHD I didn’t mean it wit disrespect but I’ve been seeing like fake adderall called addall
Hehe I know mate :) have you really seen that? That's crazy lol
ADHD. im sure ive got it. But need psychiatrist to confirm.
If you get to tied in with them expect a side effect you will regret for the rest of your life.
jesus christ the music is loudly distracting
Sorry :(

I am prescribed adderall, & i’ve come to realize whenever I drop acid or shrooms, I don’t feel the need to use stims for the following days. I recommend to try this, that is if you aren’t schizophrenic
Drop some help on the way not saying you just did. lol

No not not not 😂
Aurobindo adderall is crap. I hated it. TEVA taste like candy and i feel like it does and doesnt work. IMPAX which i believe is discontinued work so so good for me - the best. I tired the so called barr brand name and meh. Im taking vyvance now but miss the Impax adderall.
Generic Concerta sucks
So this video did nothing at all to help me . I already knew all this from my own research . Thanks for wasting my time
Lol
The generic is awful don’t do it
I have had Aurobindo so far but my next bottle says Sandoz. I would be very surprised if it really matters who makes the medication. It is probably the placebo effect for those who think there is a difference.
Not true at all
@@RestingCatNipFace My next bottle has tablets manufactured from Elite Laboratories (peach oval shaped). There was no difference between Aurobindo and Sandoz and I doubt there will be a difference with Elite. Feeling different from one day to the next can have many reasons.
@@Jason-zr6om Please educate yourself before spewing nonsense. Different generic drugs absolutely can effect people differently.
By law, generic drugs have to have the exact same amount of the active ingredient as brand name drugs but the fillers, the rest of the pill or capsule can be different from one generic brand to another and for some people, including myself those fillers can cause side effects.
@@RestingCatNipFace I never said that different fillers can't cause side effects. My comments are regarding the effectiveness of the medication. The video was also regarding effectiveness.
Had to dislike because of that garbage rap induced high-hat beat. Drove me fucking insane.
My God!, Absolutely and positively NOT TRUE. I have to first ask how long patients in your 24% have been taking Adderall. If after 2017 Ib don't want to hear from them. After all if it's changed since then you can't compare crap with crap to be blunt. I have been on it since 2008 and can say this. When you drink a strong cup of coffee compared to when you did 15 years ago did it suddenly have NO EFFECT? How about two cups or three? When you can tell me having three cups of coffee has no to very little effect on you as it did years ago then we can discuss it.
I take generic Adderall and I can tell the difference between pharmacy to pharmacy
