Nice video sir, if I want to set benchmark for my portfolio (example BSE500 or Nifty50), how can I do & how to check whether my portfolio has beaten the benchmark or not in excel.
Thanks for creating financial awareness. I have a question. I keep on adding units in the same stock regularly . So will the invested date always be the date when that stock was purchased first time to calculate the CAGR?
Great sheet Rahul. I see you have used RRI. I have been using XIRR to get to CAGR instead. Any comments. Also, I am not computing RRI at the line item level, rather at the portfolio level. Not sure which is better? Also, can you share the copy of this google sheet please. Thanks.

Rahul Ji, If our investments are on a "staggered" basis; then "How are we to calculate the years of investment"?
Thanks for creating financial awareness. I have a question. I keep on adding units in the same stock regularly
. So will the invested date always be the date when that stock was purchased first time to calculate the CAGR?
Hello Shashank - every time you purchase a stock, the purchase date becomes your investment date for calculating CAGR.
Sir please check the price of the ticker on the date you have shot this video .... I am confused whether you want to teach or to confuse
Wonderful video Rahul.
But in case MF, we mostly do SIPs, then which investment date shall we use?
Thank you.
Thank you Souvik. For SIPs, please use SIP date = invested date.
Good informative video. However mostly MF deployments happen via SIP route, so CAGR calc won't work there.
What if i do a sip and want to calculate the cagr
How can I use this calculatI ns for my current SIP?
how to get code if Fund is not available on google finance?
I'd like to have this Google Sheet. Please share the same
Xirr formula makes more sense than cagr. Because we will invest in the same stock at different point of time.
Hi Rahul. Please share the sheet
I think xirr should make more sense since we invest at different times...
