The new wave of Garfield is gonna be amazing, To be honest I think Chris prat did good of voicing Garfield for the movie. Plus I saw on Nickelodeon nickalive that not only is the Garfield movie happening but they are to having a new Garfield animated series for the network and on paramount +.
The rights for the movie were signed before Nickelodeon bought the franchise. It just took a long time for the movie to be made since it was at WB originally then Sony
