Fun fact. There are actually 27 statues in the surrounding area around muncie. The rest of them are around the Marion area.

Amazing Garfield started after 1976 and the version of him I collect is from Garfield and Friends from 1988-1994.

I live in East Texas and the Garfield ride at 9:47 I've seen in my home town. There was a little shopping mall area with tons of rides for kids. And the Garfield one was one of them. Sadly it shut down a few years ago and I don't know what happened to it. Still nice to see another one

muncie has garfield statues, cleveland has custom guitars & san antonio has painted longhorns. sure there are other cities with different custom painted statues also thrown about.

Muncie Indiana is in Delaware County, that's why they have a county building there. I went to Ball State and my Physics professor was friends with Jim Davis. We used a packet he made called "Physics with Garfield".

If you are back you need to go to gas city! They have a Garfield statue trail and the statues are all unique and much more “custom” is the best way I can put it. Each one was posed different and themed differently!!!

The city and county names are derived from the Lenape, who the Europeans called the “Delaware”. As they were pushed westward by European colonial expansion, many Lenape settled in Western Ohio and Eastern Indiana, including along the banks of the White River where modern day Muncie sits. The city and county name are no coincidence.
