I do not see this to be thorough, I would say the mob density is decent , the inventory with your consumables and items are meant to be combined through cooking, and if you wanna skip that you can buy food and medicine at a trader
Mob density is low if there are a bunch of people in the area, if it's populated you can go half a zone without seeing a single mob. The food is super cluttered and over the top, cooking something can take up to 5 ingredients that require more ingredients to create them. You have random bug drops that can be used to cook as well. You didn't even have enough bank space for all the random food drops until they added more bank tabs.

As an example, V Rising has controller support with the same type of combat, and this one doesn't have controller support, so at least having WASD would help someone close to me who needs WASD so they can use a specific controller for just one hand that translates WASD to movement, as they have a disability. Whenever someone asks for different controls, or even just key remapping, there is a possibility it isn't just due to a little bit of convenience.
i got into the previous alpha and while the game looks visually nice, has a good attitude about it, and decent controls, it had some really fundamental problems that just absolutely repulsed new players. i played warcraft since vanilla, this is no vanilla warcraft. it is much MUCH more punishing. it plays like albion online at 1/10th the speed and 1/100th the resource node density, with basically no guide as to where anything is, no way to restore your health in the first few hours of gameplay, constant mechanics hell bent on stopping you in your tracks in a clunky, not designed well kind of way, and while they say they want you to explore and find things for yourself, the game punishes you in the extreme for doing so. i played a shaman, and at level 1, a pair of level 1 mobs damn near killed me (and most mobs come in packs of at least 2-3) and then i had no way to regenerate my health afterwards. you dont passively regenerate health, and i didnt even have the ability or supplies to make a campfire yet. even once you can camp, it is slooooooooow to regenerate. and its not exactly like its a skill issue, if im level 1 or 2 and i have 1 button and auto attack, no potions, no food, nothing, there isnt exactly a whole lot you can do. the game just beat you down with raw cruel math and obtuse non interactive difficulty i dont know if its changed in the last few months, but the game i played over the summer was not "old school mmo vibes". it was an exercise in player flagellation on the most petty and mundane of mechanics for seemingly no reason. it was miserable and unrewarding, and in a game about exploration it sets out to punish you HARD for attempting to explore with brutal basic enemies, ULTRA scarce resources, buckets of forced downtime, and frankly a world that, while visually well made, isnt actually that interesting to explore anyways. dull, punishing, and anti-player. it was a miserable experience, which is a shame because visually and stylistically it held a lot of charm. as i understand, it picks up after level 5-10, but man that early introduction was R O U G H. i really hope they tune that so everyone doesnt just turn away from the get go.
So much for that “20 Year Mistake” you just made a video about 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️ Say you missed out on single player games and were going to play more, then….. next video is ANOTHER MMO 😅🤷🏼♂️
im sad to see how quickly they caved and listened to the whiners from the alpha tests. quest logs? npc markers on the map? (when there shouldnt have even been a map in the first place). ever heard of learning the lay of the land? memorizing landmarks? looking at road signs? actually listening to what the quest giver said and where he told you to go? not to mention, the movement speed and mount speed are way too fast now. and the mobs arent as unforgiving as they used to be. this was supposed to be the dark souls of mmos... instead they sold everything down the river. just another mindless mmo spoon-feeding you and holding your hand throughout the whole thing. remember og ffxi? you couldnt make it 5ft out of a town without getting rekt. you needed to organize caravans of people just to travel. i cant stand this focus on solo play all games seem to push for nowadays. its an mmo... if there ever was a thing where solo play should be discouraged it would be this...

i got into the previous alpha and while the game looks visually nice, has a good attitude about it, and decent controls, it had some really fundamental problems that just absolutely repulsed new players. i played warcraft since vanilla, this is no vanilla warcraft. it is much MUCH more punishing. it plays like albion online at 1/10th the speed and 1/100th the resource node density, with basically no guide as to where anything is, no way to restore your health in the first few hours of gameplay, constant mechanics hell bent on stopping you in your tracks in a clunky, not designed well kind of way, and while they say they want you to explore and find things for yourself, the game punishes you in the extreme for doing so. i played a shaman, and at level 1, a pair of level 1 mobs damn near killed me (and most mobs come in packs of at least 2-3) and then i had no way to regenerate my health afterwards. you dont passively regenerate health, and i didnt even have the ability or supplies to make a campfire yet. even once you can camp, it is slooooooooow to regenerate. and its not exactly like its a skill issue, if im level 1 or 2 and i have 1 button and auto attack, no potions, no food, nothing, there isnt exactly a whole lot you can do. the game just beat you down with raw cruel math and obtuse non interactive difficulty
i dont know if its changed in the last few months, but the game i played over the summer was not "old school mmo vibes". it was an exercise in player flagellation on the most petty and mundane of mechanics for seemingly no reason. it was miserable and unrewarding, and in a game about exploration it sets out to punish you HARD for attempting to explore with brutal basic enemies, ULTRA scarce resources, buckets of forced downtime, and frankly a world that, while visually well made, isnt actually that interesting to explore anyways.
dull, punishing, and anti-player. it was a miserable experience, which is a shame because visually and stylistically it held a lot of charm.
as i understand, it picks up after level 5-10, but man that early introduction was R O U G H. i really hope they tune that so everyone doesnt just turn away from the get go.
So much for that “20 Year Mistake” you just made a video about 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️
Say you missed out on single player games and were going to play more, then….. next video is ANOTHER MMO 😅🤷🏼♂️
I couldn't disagree more with speeding up leveling. If speeding up is what's needed the game isn't for you.
It seems worthy of a try, but I don't have the patience or the time for a, "figure it out yourself" type of game.
Just play ashes
Where’s the combat gameplay… the entire reason to play the game?
You aren't missing out on anything, I promise.
why you scream when talking ?
If they made the graphics more appealing it might be worth a look.
Typical 8 bit blobs... meh. Not visually engaging.
And grindy.
Pass.
Its so slow and boring. Snooze fest.
This channel is so weird. I’m not really digging it but glad to see it’s all working well for this brother.
im sad to see how quickly they caved and listened to the whiners from the alpha tests. quest logs? npc markers on the map?
Hate mobas
Ah yes, the "golden age" of mmos where you were *FORCED* to play as a specific race and gender just to play the class that you resonate with. What kind of revisionist history is this pile of garbage game?
Do not buy this game its complete trash don't let anyone talk you into it
Controller support or naw👎
They want to have it but much later on. Years from now.
last time i tried this game it was butt.
If you weren't ''sponsored'' you would've DESTROYED this game... as it's awful in its current state. Hypocrite
He literally stated that even though he's sponsored, he's going to be brutally honest. He gave his pros and cons and said it has potential. Wanna watch another UA-camr who gets sponsors and is also honest? Watch lazypeon and stop crying lmfao.
@@tazman9369 Spare me the fucking thought explanation and take off your finger from up your arse. This video was a mild and very conservative critique because he was FUCKING PAID for it. Of course he won't be fucking honest. Wake up npc. Holy moly
Why are you screaming ?
Lower the volume
@@saltdog9832 Already did, mf still come through like he mad at me
@@meicox3924 Maybe he is!
