Damn, so good. I am going through similar work and it feels like I’m learning a new language so it was absolutely beautiful to hear you speak the language I’m delving into. Hearing how you are incorporating it into your magical, yoga and spiritual practice. For me the trick is small doses. Titration. Abused by one parent abandoned by the other. On my own at 15 now I have a special needs kiddo with medically critical issues. He’s been a toddler for 30 yrs. Old stored stress and ongoing stress was keeping me triggered and sick and not the person I wanted to be. Truly keep doing what you are led to, your body and inner healer know what it needs. It’s about getting into the body and sensations in a titrated and safe way to build capacity and let old stress finally release. Crappy childhood fairy has been a good resource for behavioral and mental side. Irene lyons is a good resource for the body. To me her stuff has been the most helpful. Smart body smart mind. Working on the nervous system builds the foundation for all the other work we do. So good, thank you for Shari g your story.

Definitely all things in proportion! I’ll be talking about this a bit in my next video.
I really wanna thank you for engaging with my content, you are a comrade in trauma and it is a huge blessing to me.

*Hugs* I so SO relate. I am processing my own stuff, realizing I am neurodivergent. That is easier to digest than saying mildly autistic. It puts a whole other spin on my childhood.
I processed some trapped trauma. Try some deep tissue massage where you carry tension. I suggest having tissues handy. I released a bunch that way. I am still finding things. You are doing amazing, keep going. 🥰😘

Thank you for this. I’m a good overthinker, but I had a major realization while listening and I can’t say thank you enough.

Thank you so much for talking about this! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m struggling with my trauma too and I’m really at the beginning of coping with it in comparison to how much work you’re clearly doing for your recovery but this has been so helpful to listen to and I really hope I can get as far as you have in my journey too! I really hope you can eventually get peace from your traumas! Sending you so much love! 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘xxxxxxx

      Thank you sweetness!
I know you can get through it you just have to show up and do the work, whatever that looks like for you. One piece of unsolicited advice tho, listen to yourself (your body, your emotions/mental state). There will be times when you need to rake a break and practice some self care/spoil yourself and rest and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean you’re failing it’s actually the opposite. Just like you shouldn’t lift weights every single day because your muscles need to rest and recover between sessions, you’ll need time to rest and recover after difficult trauma work.
      Good luck beautiful!

I feel like I totally understand where you're coming from. Obviously our situations and experiences are different, but I still get what you're saying. I love "flow". It's my word of the year (and probably word of the decade). When I'm struggling at or with something, I know I'm not in the flow. That doesn't mean that everything should be easy. But just like there is bad pain (destructive pain) and good pain (growing and stretching pain) there is helpful struggle and struggle that makes things worse.
Things that help me are "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. (Her exercises help me find my flow, if I've gotten out of it.) Warwick Schiller on UA-cam (he's a horse trainer, and while I have no interest in training horses, and am very allergic to them so no interest in owning one) is great about teaching about energy. I've also repeatedly taken a course called "Beyond Surviving" facilitated by Stephanie Jaeger. She has this quote that she uses when her trauma rises up and bites her. She says, "What am I making this mean about me?" or "What story am I telling myself?"
For years, I heard her say this, and I just thought, "yeah, yeah" and then one day something clicked. When someone does something that scares me (and has nothing to do with me) I ask myself, "What am I making this mean about me?" and it helps me change it from an instinctive response to a thoughtful response. Different paths, same destination :)

Pat 2 mystical healing reading cards by inna Sagal is a very somatic deck, to me and a good tool for this work.
