- Last week we traded out a KITCHEN AID Mixer for video games because that DARN Xbox Series S that we picked up from the first episode didn't land a trade!! Episode 4 now, and let me tell you some good news.. the Series S has finally received a trade offer!!! An offer of which had my mind blown, and that was only when the fella sent me photos. Once I brought the trade back to KodywithaK headquarters I was blown away by what it turned out to be!

Man this deal kept getting better and better. So many bangers. In terms of a disc resurfacer, I've heard The JFJ Easy Pro is a good one for starting off (obviously nothing compared to the massive ones that game stores have sometimes). I believe Chase After the Right Price has talked about the JFJ back in the day, or at least some other channel I've checked out before. Think that one is a couple hundred bucks. Might be worth looking into though to see if it suitable for you. The everquest to 10k Video Game collection Pt.2 has been a journey, and it has only just begun. In terms of trade, I gotta give this one a 10/10 (quality and quantity, even when value not there, the fun factor is for sure). This deal was one of my favorites for sure! Thanks for your input. I have also been told countless times that the bigger disc resurfacers are a must in this type of business. I'd do the Easy Pro for a few hundred but honestly not sure if I would regret that later on. Especially considering the quality those really expensive ones are. Maybe I'll keep saving my money for one. The EVERQUEST continues next week! Stay tuned. Not as good of a trade as I am used to, but still a bunch of cool stuff to gander at! : D

Take the really scratch ones to your local Game Store they usually will resurface discs for a couple dollars
If I can't get the funds for an Eco Auto Smart then that will have to be the path I take
That Obscure PS2 is definitely repairable. All u need is either a Eco Smart or the cheaper Eco Pro 2. I repair games and I use a combo of the VMI Quicksand to sand discs down and then the Eco Pro 2 to buff it out. There is a guy on eBay that sells a chip hack to have unlimited buffing time on the Eco Pro 2. Of course, u gotta invest quite a bit to have these repair machines. But once u have them, they are a game changer.

I have an ELM autosmart. Fixes all games with a mirror finish with no mess. Do not even waste time with the JFJ easy pro or the ELM Eco-Pro 2
Elm is definitely the way to go. I use the Eco pro 2. It works well but it is a little messy at times. I just don't do enough volume to justify the autosmart Price. I was able to get my Eco pro for a little under $1,000 on Black Friday last year and that was including extra pads and equipment.
I just think he has to many games for an eco pro 2. I remember having to run games over and over again to get all the scratches out. Also they use DRM on that model with is just nuts.

The data is on the other side of the disc, so unless the scratches are super deep, you should be able to resurface it. And you can use a headlight restoration kit, one with some higher grit sandpaper, I like the 3M kit... to restore discs. There are some videos on YT on how to do it.

We upgraded our JFJ to an Elm eco auto smart. It's quite the investment but worth it, to buff all the Yard Sale disks like new. 😊

I use an Eco Pro 2 by Elm. I got a refurbished model for $1500 with supplies off the manufacturer website. It's works well but struggles with deep scratches.
For deep scratches like the disc you showed you might need a more expensive machine around the $5000+ price range.

I’ve had 3 trade baits on Facebook. A sealed oled, sealed Xbox s, sealed ps5 and have gotten nothing good, it’s been 2 months. Good thing I just stole the pictures off of eBay so I didn’t drop any money yet but still . Feels like you always get trades

For resurfacers I recommend the eco auto smart. Yes it is expensive, but it is really good. Much better then the jfj easy pro which is a good budget choice
Yeah I'd prefer to go with the home run machine over the budget friendly. A few others have mentioned the Eco Smart so I am beginning to get on board.

I recommend the Eco-Senior for disc resurfacing. It is worth the cost I made a shitty video of it.
Best machine for ps1 games leaves no swirl marks.

I’m debating on selling my personal collection just to try and pay off my debt faster, all are CIB, Clock tower 3, def jam fight for NY, silent hill 2,3,4 and origins, DBZ tenkaichi 2 & 3, the punisher. Games bring me joy but with a 2 year old and married I don’t have the time and nothing is a better feeling than being debt free
Hey you gotta do what is most important for the time being. Sell that collection and pay some debt now, you have a long time to collect your games once again.

Another comment here sorry. For scratches like the discs you showed you usually need a video game shop with an expensive machine. Cheaper machines may clean them up but may need so many runs through the machine it will destroy the memory on the disc and it will never work again.
Look for a shop that at least has a VMi Hybrid machine and best would be an elm eco smart machine. Those level of machines can usually get the discs looking mint or close to it.

you should bundle your filler games with those PS2s makes them go for more money and are more desirable when you do that, i typically sell my ps2 slims with filler games for like 120/140 depending on titles I toss in

How do you keep your FB marketplace trade posts up? Mine are mass reported by all the resellers in my area and taken down within 24 hours.
When they report your post what do they say.
That is very annoying, competition can't respect the hustle. I have more then 2 accounts for when that (inevitably) happens. So when one account is reported I still have a few hooks in the water from my other account. You gotta outsmart the competition because no matter what they're looking for you to fail.

My local thrift stores (Charity shops) give me first refusal on all games and consoles. They really are good to me.
That would suck to live right around you then... Not really fair for places like that to let one person pick through anything good or worth a buck just to leave that scraps and crappy games for everyone else... Especially at places like that where stuff is usually a decent price and affordable to more people....
