@Rosegold Banks harmony, harmony... Not quite, we've always had wars, and kingdoms taking over other kingdoms, tribe against tribe. But without white people interference claiming they discovered us, claiming this land as theirs.

This hurts my soul. I was one of the last native given up for adoption by my parents who were 15,and 16 years old. My mom is Lakota Sioux, They can no longer do this without the permission of the tribe. So even if the parent relinquishes their rights, the child must still have been relinquished from the tribe as well. I feel Anchorless at sea sometimes but I realized I have so much more since I live off of the reservation and I feel guilt from that. Many of my people Live in rural conditions with no running water 💦 or electricity! we have the shortest life expectancy than any other nationality!!! because the conditions are just so rough!! I can offer my vote for my people if you can decide who you would like me to vote for. Maybe take a tally leave your comment down below!!! Sending love your way❤️

As an Australian I find it very odd when watching political rallies that Christians are mentioned, black people are mentioned and Hispanic people are mentioned. Yet there is never any mention of indigenous Americans or the policies that will help them.

Educate yourself and understand Natives fought Natives as long as Europeans fought Europeans when the colonists came over many tribes traded and fought with colonists so they could conquer other tribes with things Europeans brought over such as guns. This whole argument and idea that Natives were some sort of innocent little people who never did anything wrong is so outdated and used by the left in order to create a narrative that basically boils down to White=Bad Non white=Good.

Thank you! I loved learning about this topic from an Indigenous perspective! But I think this video really dishonored the African American woman's perspective. The 19th Amendment focused on selective voting rights for white American women but didn't eliminate the state laws that operated to keep Black Americans from the polls via poll taxes and literacy tests for another five decades! Throwing others under the bus to prove our point is always unkind.

Wow...I did not know of this kind of history or even remember learning about this as I was growing up. Along with black history, Native American history events like this should be learned as well. Would it be a good idea if each Native American tribes had their own representatives in both House of Representatives and Senate or would that be unfair for other ethnicities? My thought is this way their voice can be heard more equally or is it fine just the way it is and they're voices are being heard equally already? I'll admit I am pretty ignorant of mostly what has happened and is happening to the Native American tribes, but I will be happy and grateful to learn. Though I do remember a few major historical events, but not many I'm afraid. If anyone has any links they would like to share to broaden my horizon, please do share.

I am native and I am registered to vote but I feel like due to our history and the birth of the US flag and stoled turtle island from native Americans and called it united states. I feel like voting does not matter. When I worked d.o.d you see a lot and that is when I realized my vote does not matter so why vote in a system built on corruption and still corrupt especially toward native Americans. Why would I feel the government would hear natives now but they just took and broke treaties with native tribes even today the educational system does not allow teachers to teach our truth of native American history. American history started with native Americans.
