This will be very helpful to many, thanks for taking the time to make this video ! We have almost finished our Middle Control plugin update so that you can use these knobs to control Blackmagic cameras Iris / Focus / ISO / Etc !
We already find ourselves in need of an 8 button version of that streamdeck… 😄
It would be super useful if the individual values for r, g and b could be adjusted for the lift, gamma and gain.
@middlethings. Zoom focus control is something I’ve needed for ages from my atem extreme via stream deck or your remote. Is it complete?
Looks great....Will it also control gimbal action via the APC-R?
Finally the video that I expected to buy it!!!! thanks...
You're most welcome!
Companion also plays nicely with the Loupedeck live S... Good for the 2 mic inputs on the Atem, but I still prefer the physical feedback of the Streamdeck buttons over the touchscreens on the Loupedeck.
I wonder if the stream deck plus can be used with the light key software so that the knobs can control different faders.🤔
On suggested improvements on the GUI for SD+. Button 25-28 may be used as dials but if if you have also another SD or want to configure an emulator page it may not be a dial.
Yeah I was thinking a dropdown to just manually choose which Stream Deck layout to show up in the editor
That looks very nice. I wonder if it can be linked to a PTZ camera to control pan, tilt, and zoom. Fine adjustments of position are the what I'd love to have as just pressing a button and having the camera jump to a preset doesn't look good.
Yeah I think this'll work, it will just take the module devs to allow for those kind of delta-movements!
We re using our streamdeck together with our 4 ptz datavideo cameras so it works fine !
Hi John, Great video! I'm planning to purchase the Stream Deck+ and I have a specific use case in mind. I want to use the knobs to adjust the intensity of my lights, which communicate via ArtNet. Ideally, I want to be able to dial in the light intensity from 0 to 255.
I have a couple of questions:
Is there a way for the knob dial to provide feedback on the exact value I'm dialing in? How can I save my dialed settings as a preset with a single button press or something similar? I'd really appreciate your support on this.
finally got a sSD+. I can get the "adjust" for dial turns but want to turn on/off camera audio or mic 1 on/off state. can't seem to find the command
This looks really cool!
Do you know if you can use the rotary controls to operate the T-bar with the ATEM?
It'd be great to be able to do manual mixes/fades/wipes with a simple rotary controller...
Not that I am aware of but perhaps with a little bit of work on your end - I am not sure if the module allows for it in Companion though
@@heretorecord I did try a few things since I commented, and came kind of close, but not enough to be consistent and useful.
I'll try to keep track of updates to Companion, and hopefully someone else might find this useful and sort out how to do it.
Hello, could the dials be used to zoom or pan a PTZ Camera?
Is there an update for atem extreme and bmpcc zoom and focus via stream deck plus?
Nice video. I'm trying to get a Knob/Dial to cycle through Video inputs 1-8 on an ATEM Mini Extreme ISO in Preview by turning the dial right or left, then a press could make it live. Any thoughts on whether or not this is possible. I'm not having much success. I can get it to move up and back once, but not more...
I've created a bit of a clunky work around, but it works. I made a Dial Stack, and added a Companion Button for each Input. Unfortunately pressing the Dial goes to the Companion Button but doesn't activate it, so I made the companion button activate the input with a right or left turn. So... I click the dial until the correct input shows on the StreamDeck and then turn the dial. If you have a better way, I'm all ears.
Hello from curaçao i cant configure de screen buttons any advice???
Boy, it would be super nice if we could control Blackmagic Cameras through the atem software using the new Stream Deck+
See the comment from Middle things, might be possible sooner than you think
Coming soon.... Stream Deck XL+ or will it be the Stream Deck + XL
Can you control the Iris, master pedestal, etc on the Atem Software? Thanks!
Middle Control is working on this very thing!
my stream deck + stays on 99.1 to 99.20 i can't see page up page and page down no more
Note that it requires MacOS (X?) 10.15.
There seems to be no way to actually initiate the rotary actions on the companion interface. No mouse movement seems to do anything. Not click and drag, not the wheel, nothing! What am I missing?
What version of companion are you running? You should see some “test actions” for it when configuring a button
It's amazing how we need to rely on hackers and third-party apps to take real control of the device we payed for
