Lobster rolls are great. Eating them in Quincy market are another story. It's nice to see the historical buildings there, but everything else is overpriced. I grew up there. When you were on the Long wharf on the harbor...if you kept walking towards the North end ( Little Italy), you would have had some great cafes with great food. Some are overpriced, but some aren't. Best pizza in Boston is Regina Pizzeria in the North End. Great Italian Bakeries and delis there also. You can get some great fish at Yankee lobster Company in the Seaport district . A bucket of crabs, lobster mac and cheese, fried fish, lobster BLT etc. It's part fish market and part restaurant. not fancy but good food. Flour bakery is down there also and they have the best cinnamon rolls and sticky buns. They are famous for them. Blackbird donuts ( a few around Boston). Famous for their donuts, but they have this Pie that they make and it's so good. I can't even describe the flavors. They ship that pie and have pick up orders. China town has some great restaurants. Unique and flavorful. I realize you had your kids with you. It was easier to take the red line in and just go to the obvious places. They would have lots of fun there. There are little "holes in the wall" that have the best food. The Seaport district and South Boston has the children's museum. They would love that. "The barking crab is down there, but that's also overpriced and a tourist trap.. Just found your channel and not sure where you're from, but the locals know the good places. Best sandwiches are at Sam Lagrassa"s near down town crossing. Lots of great places. I could make a list. Enjoy your travels.

@@McAlhanies You're welcome ! Yes Boston is great. Lots to do. The freedom trail will walk you right through The North end. Where you were walking toward the harbor, To your right is the seaport district. To the left is the North end. For kids, The aquarium is at the Long wharf ( To your right on the harbor). The children's museum is a must as I said earlier. the Boston tea party museum is near the Children's museum. The museum of science is on the Charles river and a great place for kids as well. You can also get water taxis to take you from the seaport to the north end etc. Also from Logan airport. It's really cheap to take a water taxi from the airport to the long wharf. Maybe 10 dollars. A straight shot across the harbor, The kids might like the duck boats and also the USS Constitution ship. Also on the Seaport is a restaurant called "The no name restaurant" Great fish and portions. It is one of the best kept secrets and has been there for years. The seaport district used to be just warehouses and run down buildings. It has all been built up. Enjoy your travels and happy to share the details.

@@McAlhanies I'm smiling. You're very welcome. There are great places that really are tourist traps and places that I think take advantage of tourists. I Just love Boston and I feel others will too. I'll leave the Vlogs to you though. I just feel like sharing the stuff that people might not know. The no name restaurant was sensational. I am bummed that it's gone. Here is a look at what you're missing. Their fisherman's platter will feed a small country. Most places will have these on the menu, but you'll pay for it. Their prices were phenomenal. I took a moment of silence when I found out they closed. I have lived all over the US for my job. There's a certain pride that came from living in Boston. It's a great walkable city.
Here's the no name restaurant...a historical place as well....

And a unique place in China town that I love called Double chins. American Asian fusion in a fun and playful way. There is this one dessert that's shared with the group of you and it's over the top.

Quincy Market is a slight jump up from a big mall eatery in that region. All of those things are better eaten at a small eatery specializing in the particular item. There is so much great food within 500 yards of there.

yass beto M V Go to Newbury Street in Backbay, there are a lot of very nice restaurants (like Stephanie’s), cool shops, it’s very hype. Otherwise, North End is considered like little Italy and has some good restaurants too. Just next to Boston, in Cambridge, restaurants are great too like Henriette’s table or Border cafe for instance. They’re located in Harvard square. This area, around Harvard yard, is very hype too with all the students.

    • @christianmarcel7766

yass beto M V Also, I can only advise you to try Pier 6, the restaurant is good and gives you a fantastic view on Boston’s skyline, just like you would if you were on a boat. In downtown crossing, Legal Crossing is awesome too.
