Turned out beautifully🥰 Chalk paint painters definitely save outdated furniture from the landfill and there is nothing like bringing life back to dead pieces🥰
Hey Christina ! I love you soo much you make this type of art work so much more fun. You are hilarious I'm learning so much from you , Your explanations are fabulous I can't get enough of all the techniques you are teaching us . Love your work.Queen Christina !
I've just started watching & have gotten addicted. The only difference that I would have suggested would be to remove the hinges before painting & spray painting them & the cup hook the same color. Not too late to do that, if you wanted to. Please, don't be angry. I had another lady be rude to me when I suggested that she get a paint sprayer handle so that her hand wouldn't cramp with all of the paint spraying.
I painted all my bedroom furniture with Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old white and I’m loving the new look . Because of all your videos that I had been watching that made me do it and I did it thanks for the tutorials it is very helpful.
Love it, very well explain, yes definitely going to watch this ten more times because I'm a newbie to furniture painter, thank you so much for giving me well needed information. Your the best
Excellent Job Kacha. this looks Amazing!!! Camera guy does a great job too. Music choice is always right on . Absolutely Love all your videos, so helpful, short and to the point is my favorite. . Thank you for sharing. Cant wait for the next one. ~*~
I’m such a. fan of yours, Kacha! You’re amazing and I pray I’ll be able to do this. I have been wanting to do something creative and I’ve been in the dumbs so long. Your videos continue to inspire and give me renewed hope. You are better than a therapist!!! Love you girl! God bless you! 💕🇺🇸
Great Idea utilizing each other’s inspiration with your own individual style and approach! Loved both 💞 I have used the sponge application and what a smooth easy finish it gives; easier too! Looking forward to your Podcast with Christina on Monday 🌞🌷
I love the white dresser! I know from watching your videos that you love color ! I loved the timing however bc I needed an idea for whitewashing the legs of a big table. So now I see I can use that no pain gel stain like that. Can I a little so just say that I LOVE your sense of humor... Esp regarding using gold! Gold gold.. very important! I love that you try to respond to all of us. Thanks for all of your sharing. It is so very motivating. Patty
Easy peesy also very pretty. This piece would be easy to replicate for Funiture flippers and you’ve always said white sells quickly,so double win. Great job I’m so happy I’ve found you on UA-cam. Keep up the amazing work you do, I really enjoy learning from your videos.
I used Dixie belle for the first time in Australia because of you ❤️😘. I absolutely love it 😍 l just dried brushed a piece over grey in Silver bullet. Amazingly creamy paint ☺️-regards Rozanne
Hi Kacha, you amaze me continously. I just started chalk painting and the first thing I did was a mess with brush strokes. I know you ladies all use expensive brushes, but for someone like me who have to gradually make it to those high priced brushes can you recommend something that can give a nice smooth finish that wont break the bank for a beginner. Love, love, love you.
That's a pretty white- I will have to check out Dixie Belle paints. It looks like it goes on smoothly which I like. I'm interested in the gel stain- I think I'd prefer a stain on top if it's more durable and can stand things getting placed and moved around on top more. I may try a lighter gel stain perhaps so I'll check out their other colors. Thanks- always look forward to your videos! :)
Thanks! The Gel Stain is definitely more durable than chalk paint and you can put much tougher top coats on it too! Gel Stain goes on very easy. Doesn't smell the best but it's MUCH easier to use than normal stains!
That turned out very pretty! Nice collab! You had said that you put your paint brushes in ziplock bags for a few days max. My questions are about the wax brush. Do you also put it in a bag? If so...How long max can a wax brush stay in a bag? Or do you have another process to keep & clean wax brushes? Thanks for the help & always being so inspiring!
I just finished the first coat of white on a similar vintage side table. I had stained the top dark walnut and the body red chalk paint and added stencils...I hand painted some of the designs...but it wasn't attracting a buyer. A lot of compliments but the piece was not selling....so now it's time for a new look just like your piece. I plan to add some artist touch with the new look...stripes, raised stencil, a mandala....let's see how the piece talks to me! I am kind of disappointed that the red stenciled design did not work for the piece...but that is the way the furniture art works...It's just paint! But I will make it my own creation in this modern world....old can still be new....I will send you pictures thru email soon. 😍
I have a background in art/painting canvases, mixed media so the piece of furniture is my canvas that I have fun and do a lot of research and spend hours as I paint...neutral is just okay...for now ....thanks for all of the information and support! Love your podcasts!
I love your work! Your Art is Amazing! I would love to see painting over black furniture. I want to update my black bedroom furniture with grey colors. I don't see much painting OVER black furniture. Thank you!!
Hi Kacha! I have seen Christina’s video as I follow her too....she is also talented and fun to watch. Question: Have you used Easy Peasy wax with other paint brands? I know a lot of the paint companies make products that are made to work well with their products and don’t always have same reaction with other paints...I would love to try Dixie Belle one day soon but have lots of paint here already....so I would love to know answer to that....looking forward to Podcast with Christina.....another beautiful piece🌟 Thank you for sharing😊 Kimberly from Delaware
Hello Kimberly! From Delaware of course! I use different brands with each other all the time. I haven't tried spray wax on another company but I do not see why that would be a problem! Thanks a bunch for stopping by and ill see you Monday!

This was such a fun video and so important to those starting out painting furniture. You kept it clear & simple which always makes your videos top notch! Some get sooo wordy what they're doing gets lost in all the talk. But you didn't hear me say that ;) lol I'm stilll working on painting my vintage bike in the tea rose. It's amazing how long it's taking with all the little bits. I didn't think about that when I decided to paint it but I love how it's turning out.
You are not supposed to press the sponge, like no pressure at all. Also use a small amount of poly at a time. It takes a bit to figure out but once you do its VERY easy to use. Hope this helps!
I have a question. Super cute side table, by the way! Is it ok to sand the top first before you apply the white paint on the lower part? Can you switch the order without messing up the piece? (This may be a dumb question 🙄) Does it matter?
Lisa Freebairn it’s fine but I don’t feel you’ll need to sand if your going to use chalk paint. Anyhow you totally can if you think it’ll be a problem! ❤️

I clean my wax brushes about once a month. I have one for dark wax and one for clear wax. I use mineral spirits to clean them! No need for ziplock!

It does! Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
Loving that Gel Stain. Is it water repellent?
Well you need to apply a top coat when it's dry. So it would depend on how you seal it how much protection you'll have!
Hi Kacha! I recently applied poly with the Dixie belle sponge. It created lots of foam. So I ended up using a brush. What did I do wrong?
Hi kacha would you recommend using the spray was over the solid was as I have waxing but does it stand up as well
Thanks
It's very new to me but so far I see no problems!
I wish dixie bell was available in Canada.
I want to do this look for my first project to re sell.
I am sure they will figure that out, they are expanding all the time! ❤️
Those ugly 70s pieces really look good with paint!
I agree! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Can you put the gel stain applicator pads in a baggie, so you can reuse after the 6 hr dry time? Or do you use a new pad? Can you also apply with a used t-shirt or would a brush be better? Thanks!!!!
That’s is what I did, I put my applicator pad in a ziplock and reused it later. If you don’t have a pad I would suggest foam sponge brush. Thank you for watching!
Loved it, where can I buy Dixie Bell products?
