You can tell the rickshaw shots were all done in Los Angeles ... there are no giant hills in Manhattan ... Manhattan is totally flat ... even the exterior shots of Jerry's apartment building show a slight hill.
Seinfeld is on TBS 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday. It also airs at 10:35 p.m. and 1:05 a.m. on weekdays on the CW. Finally, it is available for streaming on Hulu and will be on Netflix in 2021.
I’m sorry downtown Los Angeles will never look like New York City because it was developed years and years later than New England, and this is so obvious that it was filmed in Los Angeles where the buildings are made of cement blocks as opposed to New York where the buildings are made of wood and brick. it’s so obvious that this was not filmed in the city of New York nor even on the set of New York City they did not do a good job on this episode with the backdrop
yup and looks even younger than when he was on the show lol
Why does Wayne Knight feel like the one Seinfeld actor you would always have a good time running in to in public?
That's the guy who sabotaged Jurassic Park!!
If only Kramer had won at ‘One spot two spot zig zag tear...’
Newman, you are the best!
Dodgson, Dodgson, we've got Dodgson here!!!
Nobody cares

Nice work and a great memorable scene. Thanks guys.
"Pace it boy!"
Chop Chop!
@Metatarsal
He lost like 100 pounds. Apparently his doctor told him he was going to have serious health problems if he didn`t..
"We never went wide to hide that it was LA and not New York."
"So I setup the camera with a wide lens..."
Using the homeless to pull rickshaws...BRILLIANT!!! Well they know the roads...lol
Newman hit Oscar nominated producer Jonathan Penner, who appeared on "Survivor" at least twice.
"Survivor" should have been wiped out by a runaway rickshaw. What a horrible programme that was/is/always will be.
Cool... i have always wondered about that rickshaw shot with Newman going down hill
I was wondering forever how they did the newman backwards rickshaw shot. Replaying it several times, I swore they must have used a model.
0:21 that was big show, having to do The Laugh Factory.
fresh painted red curbs.. slappy heaven
There’s only one problem with this: there are NO hills in Manhattan. 😂
Newman! 🤣
Wayne lost some weight. Good for him!
He said somewhere that when he finally saw himself on Seinfeld, he realized how big he was getting, and decided enough, was enough.
thanks Andy lol
Much too sunny for New York!
I know. It didn't look like New York.
@Metatarsal yeah, he looks svelte and almost handsome. so, he's right...damn this is a strange business ;p
Because everyone knows New York city has steep hills.
It does. Have you ever been on the upper west side, say along west end Avenue/ 11th Avenue
@@jetnut89 too many gays on the upper west side 👎😖
Absolutely, if you go way uptown. (As opposed to Downtown, like the song)
Totally awesome, loved the series back then and still now and wish that Seinfeld could somehow come back on the Regular network cable

Survivors Jonathan Penner at 1:25
I know i hardly recogise penner from survivor
@Metatarsal
Not just "some" ...O_o
Are there hills like that in Manhattan?
@Jože Ws Right there, that's pretty stupid, even if you shoot the scene in such a way that you don't realize it's actually shot in L.A.
Why, yes....they were designed by Joe Pepitone.

aint it kidsmeller that gets hit by the rigshaw?
No....he's the reason for the "detox poncho"- Elaine's associate at Peterman who got hooked on the yam yam.
Hello, Newman 😒
newman got skinny
WK looks like he's lost some weight
Damn he lost some weight.
Newman looks like Larry King!!
The bonehead in the top left watching the scene/Kramer being filmed always ruined it for me.
