On the trauma kit I would get rid of the hemostatic sponges since they have little practical use. I would get the biggest pack of z-folded hemostatic gauze you can find. Not sure how many tourniquets (windless style) you carry on your person but I would make sure you have at least three. I would add one more two pack chest seals. Another great option in addition to the three or four windless style tourniquets is a Swat-T tourniquet. While not considered a first line tourniquet they are great option for use as a tourniquet on small children (infants) or to use to make a pressure dressing. A Swat-T will work better on a young childs small diameter arm better than a tourniquet with a windless. A small headlamp can also be useful in a trauma kit. One last thing which is essential in a trauma kit is a hypothermia foil blanket. Once a person loses so much blood they will go into shock and become hypothermic which in turn affects the body's ability to form blood clots.

Thanks for the suggestions! This is actually a bit outdated as of a few days ago. I purchased some more Z Fold gauze so now I have 3 of those in there that are not hemostatic and they have replaced my sponges. On my external vest, I carry a pair of compact cheast seals, an NPA, an hemostatic z fold gauze, and a non-hemostatic z fold, so I have that on me no matter what. I also carry 2 CATs and a SWAT-T on my person regularly on patrol. The main goal of this is to be small and not be too large and bulky as my priority is to have extra rounds but also carry a decent amount of med supplies since I have a good IFAK on my vest. My main duty when responding to an active shooter is stopping the threat, and secondarily as a medic. Thanks for the suggestions though!

95 rounds is very smart. Hopefully you aren’t forced to use them. Your gear is grEat.

The ALERT system is outdated, the standard has been solo response since around 2012. The RAIDER system is far more relevant now.

What? What’s an active shooter bag? You have more bags than A supermarket.
