Thanks for all this info Melanie.Like you,my skin is heavily oily and l’ve had microblading done three times over the last few years, and same as you my skin basically drank the pigment up so l’ve been considering doing the shading next, so really appreciate seeing your process. Your brows look fantastic and you can tell she took her time getting the shape just right.
Wow! You are beautiful and I super LOVE your brows. I had my brows microbladed in October and I love having the shape. I am getting them microSHADED this weekend and I'm SO excited. I hope they look this amazing!
Wow, your experience was so much like mine it's uncanny. I went to the owner of my salon who was the brow "expert" and left with brows that were uneven. I did tell her how unhappy I was at the touch up appointment so she did that at no charge and fixed them as much as she could but even after that I felt I had to add product to them to be okay with them. At the year point I asked my aesthetician at the same salon if she could microshade my brows since our schedules seem to mesh better and she did a great job. Of course, she knew I wasn't happy the first time so I felt she benefited a bit by knowing what went wrong the first time so she really spent extra time on the shape with me laying down and sitting up. I left so happy. I also have oily skin and the shading definitely took better than the microblading. The microblading hairstrokes just blurred together. The scabbing was heavier than with the microblading and the day near the end of healing was the worst but the whole experience was so much better than the first time. Your brows look great!
Glad I found this video 🙃 I myself have oily af skin. I just got mine tinted for the 1st time. I was thinking of Microblading. & yesterday my Sis mentioned this. & know I'm for sure getting them shaded . THANK YOU!!!😁
I like the way your brows turned out. She did a GREAT job. I remember getting my makeup done years ago and she made a darker brow that worried me initially but I found I preferred it. It was just that my brows were pale & had faded out even more in previous years. I got used to that even though it wasn’t my best. Suddenly I had brows!!!! Scary change. But I pretty quickly realized it was a major improvement. Some of my friends have gone through this too. You get used to a fade-away then when the brows are done they are a shock. Like a haircut. Nowadays when I don’t do my brows my face is definitely older and unfinished. I like it on you Melanie. It suits your face & brings out your eyes.
Your skin is beautiful and love the makeup. Brows look awesome! Any botox or facial treatments? Do you have a video or can you share your skin care regimen and products you love?
Thank you. I do get Xeomin in my forehead (and in my masseter muscles but that is for teeth grinding). I have a pretty extensive skincare routine that includes RF, Red Light, Microcurrent and of course quite a bit of skincare. I probably do more than what most people would be willing to but it works for me. I make time for it and consider it a hobby. I have a ton of skincare videos on my channel that you can check out.
Very excited to see how these last. After your last experience I personally held off. I have oily skin (not to your extent, but more so than average.). I want to see how these do for you. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Gorgeous!!! Fyi - micro shading would technically be done with a hand tool. Manually. Micro shading is just shading, people use tons of different names. Shading is shading and can be done manually or with a tattoo machine :)
I wanted to get microblading. I was scared for that very reason (oily skin). When I get up enough nerve to do it. I will definitely go with hybrid brows.(micoblading&shading combo)
I've had my done they are super dark 2 weeks later and I'm worried they won't fade! Did yours fade after 2 weeks?? I'm very blonde they are cool taupe just seem incredibly dark, mine are microbladed but I was offered micro shading too in with the price at the time I turned it down as they seemed so dark I guess I was panicking, I love the shape and love everything about them, I'm just wanting to know after your microblading last year how long before your brows started to fade??mine have faded a bit just at 2 weeks they still seem very dark! Also at my touch up which is o n Dec 7th (I booked for 6 weeks after) only as the woman said she had seen brows at 4 weeks still not fully faded etc , but. Would you recommend I have the shading at my touch up??? As I am still able to take up this option. Just obv I want them to last, like you I'm going to go for regular touch ups. Yours look fantastic already , but on day 2 mine were super dark, they are def lighter but still way to dark for me, so I'm praying yours faded after 2 weeks? I have more dry skin than oily though and I'm 45 so it's pretty mature too. I'd welcome your advice. Xxxxxx
I would recommend asking the artist. They absolutely will fade. Some people heal differently so keep that in mind. I would really check with the artist and have them take a look.
@@MrKongsMom thanks so much for coming back to me , I will do after looking how amazing yours look I'm def thinking about the shading now, if they are going to fade significantly I def want them to last, yours are such a great shade for your hair etc mine are very taupe but I'm ash blonde so I'm hoping they will match perfectly thanks again xxxx
The same exact thing happened to me with microblading! I did it last year and it faded and peeled off as it healed almost immediately! They redid it twice with the same effects. It was so frustrating and I looked ridiculous! I may need to look into this option instead...thanks for sharing your experiences!
Just another reason why I watch all your videos! I have been wanting to do the Microblading, did not know Microshading even existed!! Is there scaring involved? You look great and thank you for sharing.
I got mine microbladed in March and love the result however I am so oily and they are fading. For the astronomical price I’m hoping they last at least 2-3 years but that’s a high hope. Where did you get your micro shading done? They look amazing 😉 btw! I feel like getting mine gave my whole face a lift
Wow how timely, Iam going to have my brows done soon. Iam thinking about the “powder Tattoo “, not sure of the difference. Iam scared but my brows are so blonde that from a small distance you can’t tell if I have brows without a brow pencil. Thoughts?...
Can you please tell me where you go to get your brows microshaded? I would like to have the same technician microshade my eyebrows. Yours look wonderful on your beautiful face!
@@MrKongsMom I live in Seattle, but I would be willing to drive to Oregon to ensure my brows were done correctly. I too have oily skin and microbladed brows that quickly fade. I would like to see how my brows will hold up if I get them microbladed. Your brows look so perfect and fit your pretty face so well. I am one of your number one followers. I appreciate your sincerity.
I believe I live in the same city as you and am looking for someone new to do micro shading. Can you share the artist’s name that did yours? They look great!
I have oily skin like you. I recently found out that micro shading is better for our skin types compared to microblading. Do you find that your skincare products with AHA’s + BHA’s fade the pigment quicker?
I am very careful to not get my AHA or BHA anywhere near my brows. I have a big barrier area just in case it travels a bit. Right now I have not noticed any fading at all yet :) I could not be more happy!
Why on earth would you have to pay a touch-up fee when you went straight into microshading, unless it's for a follow-up appointment already. Wow, that's some foresight. LOL!
@@MrKongsMom 😕 I'm in Texas & I liked the fact she gave the ointment she made. I hope the place I go to has something similar. I can't wait to get mine shaded. Thanx again for the video 🙂
Love them💕 I’ve always thought Shading looks classier and you have proved that, great choice! Lovely shape too.
Your brows look amazing! Beautiful!
Don't know what you look like with gray brows but the taupe is STUNNING! Great video. Thank you!
I think they look beautiful! Can't wait to see how they develop over time.
Wow your brows are perfect. Thank you for the video
Oh thank you! All my amazing tattoo artist
I think they look really good from here!!
They look great! Hopefully this will last longer than the microblading.
That’s a good price. I’m in the Bay Area and the going rate is almost 600 here, first touch up included in price and touch up 6 month amount is 250 !!
Perfect eyebrows :) You want them to spend a long time doing it so they get it just right for your face shape. Looks fabulous !

Your brows look great. I had mine microshaded 10 months ago. I do think this will lend better results.
Can you disclose where you went and who did your micro shading?
She sounds like an amazing artist 😊
Just had my brows micro-bladed and micro-shaded today! I paid $620 for both plus tip. This includes follow-up in (6) weeks.
Wow! You are beautiful and I super LOVE your brows. I had my brows microbladed in October and I love having the shape. I am getting them microSHADED this weekend and I'm SO excited. I hope they look this amazing!
