Im Hispanic and I've only been to jail, I've been 6xs in my whole life and when I first went in at 18, I automatically had to click up with the Hispanics and learned quickly that most of them, didn't have a truly racist heart(Ex. Wanting to beat up/wanting to kill all or just always randomly picking on black,white, Asian etc. people) but they definitely did talk crap about/point out stereotypes, refuse to trust in business and judge very often the black groups in the Pod. My last time in at 27, I didn't see anything different from a handful of Hispanics there.. I grew up in Tampa, FL so i always befriended the black kids in my apartment complexes and would smoke and drink and shoot dice and play 2k or COD at my crib with a mixed group of friends: hispanics, blacks,Arab and Indians mainly so when I got to jail, id do business with the other races openly so long as it wasn't anything fugazi..but you had to be an adult and not be up in everyones face and doing business with everyone because you had a responsibility of the whole group because everyone in there knew that if anything disrespectful occurs between any 2 parties that you're potentially causing an all out braw between the hispanics and blacks.. and sadly this happens very often because of a young person from either side thinking they can play around with grown men.. i can only imagine how serious these same situations are in pris

I think the context plays a role here, as it's displayed commedically, but I don't think that any movies as far as I know would display women getting graped comedically, but yeah, there is not so much awareness about men getting graped, or molested.
Men tend to handle trauma a little differently and what happens to their bodies doesn't necessarily break them mentally as the are better at compartmentalizing and recognizing things as they are. "You can break my body but you can't break my spirit" is an attitude they have.

This movie is seriously under rated. It's like Get Hard if they actually covered the prison time and he learned to fight from someone who wasn't faking. It's called "Big Stan" should be able to watch in a lot of places.
I think it's not able to be watched in the US without a VPN. I read that it was because they make one joke about the gangs when he goes in, saying that the Scientologists are one of the worst gangs because they sue you for any little thing, and then the "church of Scientology" got offended and sued the movie to not be released, entirely proving the point of the joke in the first place.

Removing a man from society, his support systems, lived ones, pleasures, life, dreams, etc. is a horrible enough punishment. Yet this euro Anglo Caucasian medieval torture stuff is in their psyche.

You have to go to one of the crazy Supermax prisons to have to worry about joining a gang for protection and at that point what kind of person must you be anyway? Stan here gets 3-5 in prison for fraud (timeshares) and learns a crazy form of martial art in his six months before prison from David Carradine, a man who by his own admission "travels where the wind takes him." ,this is the martial art that he uses to defend himself in prison, the warden of the jail is also a little corrupt himself, offers stan a shorter sentence for advice on how to defraud real-estate, i dunno how the ending comes along but he ends up fighting a former student of his mentor he learned from, and stabs him in the gut with jis middle finger (i may be remembering wrong on that last detail, but something like that.)
I was recommended this and one incredibly boring Saturday afternoon I put it on. I laughed my arse off from beginning to end and loved all the characters. I probably wouldn't say underrated because this who have seen it say its great. I would probably call it underseen

Have you exactly been to prison before? I’ve spoken to a plethora of family who’s been in prison and they say sexual violence is rather common
@@aquatic4760 I didn’t say it doesn’t happen. I said the (amount) of incidents are wildly exaggerated. It is. It some automatic occurrence. and yes, i have a masters in criminology which included multiple visits to prisons - I wouldn’t recommend a stay.
