I like how long it took Olivier to get the mimic under the endless sands and that I think Muddstah had to cut some of the struggle out

Speaking as an experienced Syr Gwyn player, Hot Soup is an amazing card and it always feels bad when your opponents take out your Colossus Hammer so quickly. Hammer Time is still threatening, even in Commander

Honestly I love watching Syr Gwyn in anything - even if she was overshadowed by Chulane and Korvold, she's such an absolute house of a commander! Equipping for free AND giving card draw is no joke, as was shown in this game! Honestly, the one play I would potentially disagree with is dropping the hammer early, rather than holding onto it until after you have Gwyn down for the surprise hammer, but I can understand the desire to just get it out to avoid a counter or such.
Hope they make more mutate. Seems really cool

Sigarda seemed very underpowered even in this pod of low power decks.
Yeah shes not the greatest. Need a decent board for her ability and it's only ok as well.
Selesnya in general is just too fair, you must use stax and hatebears.

It can be very high powered, this was a pauper-ish build
To be fair, that specific Sigarda deck looked pretty damn awful. Who the hell just passes with 12 mana open?! And the cards he does play seem suboptimal at best and terrible at worst. I'm not saying Sigarda is top tier or anything, but I'm confident you can get more out of that commander.

It's nice to see some lower power games.
Some missed possibilities from Alexandre, though, especially before and after that Cyc Rift. He could've used Heartseeker to kill the angel before the bounce and recast Gwyn + Sword + Gloves the next turn instead of all that equipment, granting a nice hasty attacker, blocker and two cards drawn. Speaking as a voltron player, when you have a free equip ability is better to use it and abuse it as much as possible.

Villainous Wealth is a card I often forget about. I really want to use it in a game someday...
A couple of mistakes I noticed that they made:
Alex forgot to lose life the first time a card was drawn from his commander's ability. I'm not sure if your statement later was a dig at the fact that he'd missed it, on not :P
Knight's Charge hits ALL opponents.
The missed life losses might have been an editing error on my part. He was pretty on top of it, but I may just not have narrated some of it.
The charge was definitely my miss though.

You can mutate on some really nasty stuff, as long as mutate includes a good amount of recursion, they are pretty good! Just lots of triggers.

Mutate can get out of hand really quickly if you find ways to abuse it. Of all the decks I have, my playgroup might hate Otrimi the most
@@dougthegorgon2341 I wanted to build a mutate deck because of all the sweet showcase Ikoria art, but all the decks I've seen seemed really weak.
Meme Master One of the Problems with that is a relative lack of viable commanders. The only decks I’ve seen people pull off are Otrimi, Illuna, and Vadrok. As for actually building one, I’d recommend determining what the overall goal of the deck is, and then use all the mutate triggers you’re getting to accomplish that goal. For instance, the goal of my Otrimi deck is to be a control deck that used mutate triggers to keep people’s board states in check until I can snuff them out completely, and the goal of my friend’s Vadrok deck is to put as many cmc 3 or less spells in his graveyard as possible and then use that as a toolbox for Vadrok’s mutate trigger

As someone who also plays this Sigarda, it's a reoccuring pain.
Knight's Charge drains each opponent for one when a knight attacks, not drain an opponent when they get damaged by a knight
That was painful to watch as it would be an expensive enchantment with a mediocre ability otherwise.

I have somewhat given up on my Syr Gwyn deck :p. I cannot seem to find the sweet spot for the equipment/knight ratio and the rest of the deck (removal, ramp, draw and support for equipment).

Honestly I don’t know if I am satisfied because seems everyone given up on her.
I gave up on her. :p I just don't know if I can manage to do both knight support and equipment support in one deck. Atm i have that, but I miss so many utility spells because of it. Maybe I should put in super low cmc knights, and keep stronger equipment in the deck. I dunno

The jeskai player gave up when he played winds of abandon so early in the game. That card should be used as a wincon, not as a normal wrath. Giving so many lands to the other players is not a good thing to do
Yes definitely. But looking at his list I don’t see many other option he could have gone for at that particular turn.

Did you just not mention it or did Maxime really never draw for Ephara (on Olivier's Turn after playing for example Mirror Entity, as well as a bunch of others).
