    ​ @GigiBelea aka JAX You can get to the filter just pull out the the driveshaft. The space is tight, but you can reach up to the filter housing and it get loose.       Thanks. Yes , I realized that also but I just did not want to do this operation... client was a cheap chap and he did not want to pay for the extra work anyway :( Next time maybe. I am getting to old for this kind of jobs...

    I did changed the oil filter on the GTE. You have to take out the inverter bracket and lose three screws from the gearbox. And you can lower the gearbox slight, I always replace the filter. And you don't have to use a charger, anyway the gearbox draws more than 30A so a simple charger will not be sufficient. Just turn on the LB, with the key accessories ON, and turn ON the LB, this will enable the 12V charger:), and it will supply enough current....from the HV battery. In my case I swapped the 12V lead acid battery with a 60Ah LIFEPO4.

      My charger supplies 100 Amps stabilized, so It is enough for almost any situation. Did not knew about the trick with lowering the gearbox and if VW says you only need to change the filter in case of debris and shavings I just left it. For DQ250 the filter INSIDE the gearbox gets never changed and unless it is very worn gearbox , it will run for life.

      @@GigiBeleaDK DQ400 has 2 filters. One on the bottom of the oil pan, on the suction inlet for pump an the one external....and a third one inside the mechatronics.

      @@CATA20034 Never seen any filter on the bottom of the oil pan. Point me to the right direction :)

      @@GigiBeleaDK Let me check to see if I still have the pictures with the disassembled gearbox. It s not serviceable as it leaves near the pinion side.

    hi! so how much fluid should it have? In the beginning you say 5 liters came out and in the end you say 4.5 liters came out so that is confusing. I did the service myself with obdeleven and put exactly 5 liters, should I put more or should I put less, thanks!

    Hello. Then you did drain ATF function does you get p187e00 fault wich means oil reservior pressureless? And hybrid fault on dash?

    Hi thank you for your contribution, I have a question, then i clear dsg faults (they are not, but just use to clear) or brake faults, after I start the car it is a kick and after 5 seconds the car starts, it is normal behavior?

    Buna seara Dmul GIGi am o problema daca ma puteți ajuta.
    Am un Passat GTE și dupa 2-3 minute de condus sare din viteza. Imi da o eroare la presiunea de ulei din cutie. Am schimbat dsg si am aceeași eroare??? Ați pățit așa ceva???? Cu stimă Daniel

      For VCDS it is only a matter of CODING the gearbox. See in the video the coding change for stopping the pump and enabling again.

      @@GigiBeleaDK yes I think that should be no problem. There is however a "check ATF level" function under the basic settings of the transmission module in VCDS. I am curious to know how that differs to what happens in ODIS. ODIS seems to provide instructions and timers for performing the different actions, whereas VCDS does not do that.

    Tati ne poti spune care e diferenta intre o cutie cu intretinere si alta fara intretinere ,care dureaza mai mult si cu cat mai mult? De exemplu o cutie care nu a avut niciodata un schimb de ulei si alta care a avut o intretinere periodica? Stiu ca depinde foarte mult de felul cum se conduce, deci ambele in sport.

    Hi, I’m working on a 2006 Audi s6 v10. I have Odis and online. Im trying to adapt both ecu but getting “error: msg serial # is not used. Please select msg new action”. I believe these ecu’s have immo off. Can I restore ecu with Odis-e? Can you help? Thanks

      You can not adapt them if they have immo off.

      Very strange gearbox this one ... combination of DQ250 and DQ200 but with wet clutch. Sooner or later we will see problems I guess as the pump is not mechanical anymore + using oil accumulator. Thanks for watching !

      @@GigiBeleaDK It's much better than DQ200, and more efficient than DQ250 due to electrical pump.

      @@CATA20034 Better than DQ250 ... we will see in a few years time when this cars start to get older. DQ200 is $hit and most stable is until now the DQ500.

    By the way, the filling plug is on the top. If I recall is just between the DC-DC charger and the inverter. It has a small screw, and you fill it from the mecatronic side. It will than flow intro the gearbox trough a passage between the two cavities.

      According to VW manual , filling is done under. You only must fill from upside if you change mechatronic.

    @GigiBelea thanks for the video! I´ve been working as a mechanic previously and trying to figure out this procedure at the moment. I think you are quite brave doing it this way, some knowledge, some trying. I´m working with OBD11, so I have to think a little bit more. I am wondering have you any experience in fixing problems in these transmissions? It seems that there are some problems, and quite common way for dealer to fix them is to replace mechatronics. It costs almost 4k€, so I´m curious if there is certain fixable problem in the mechatronics. I even got one replaced part from a dealer mechanic for my investigations.
