any bolt action build the mag in to the gun and load it by pulling the bolt back like a kar 98

I made a mag without a rubber band. And the mag was top of the gun 💀

yes definitely. simply change the 1x7 technic beams in the front and back (change the side 1x5 beams too) into longer ones, and change your rubber band if needed. might recommend adding some axle and pin connectors to increase stability as well. let me know if it helps!
