This is what we needed. Funny how a small studio is able to give us what we want in a racing game but no giant racing game studio can seem to understand. Racing games need to be FUN like this with challenges and police pursuits, a fun factor that forza cant seem to bring. Vehicles need to sound and perform well like they do in this game so it feels like theres still a challenge to races, where picking the best line can launch you ahead of your opponents and you feel rewarded for driving well, but mess up and youre in the back. An aspect that the new NFS games cant get right. The game needs to progress where you start from the bottom and work your way to the top, while only unlocking hero cars after completing next-to-impossible challenges, so you the car you drive feels like a reward for hard work. And the hard work must be FUN and not grindy. Something that NO recent racing game can do well.
I believe if EA remastered some old MW Carbon etc they will paid some license to music and the other manufacture it will definitely takes more cost maybe that why EA doesn't do remastered in my opinion

This is absolutely incredible. Really cool to see this. EDIT: A touch of confusion on the "definitive way to play Carbon" line; the mod isn't out. This is great for whoever's in the testing phases and is experiencing it but since learning this is still under development you'll likely want to change it to "will be" to avoid unnecessary disappointment or frustration depends on the expected timeline for release. It has the potential to be but if it never releases or comes out, it isn't really.
Finally some well deserved love for Carbon. After NFSCO is out, the next challenge is to connect Most Wanted and Carbon into one giant game. I'm aware of the time issues but it's still an idea.
Afaik NFSCO aims to have all the races from MW (not sure if it’ll be connected to career however) and even have crews in Rockport. I know for sure we’ll see the minor crews play a huge role than the big four we already know.
Mods that devs ain't capable to reproduce. Plus, this shows how much the community is active and is continuously willing to turn coal into polished copper. The copper has such a cool color.

NFS Carbon is one of my favorite need for speed games ever! I remember finishing it like 20 times on my ps2 when I was a kid, just finished it again last year with battle royale mod which gave the game a whole different feeling, cannot wait to try this out!
All I gotta ask from you, if you can get it running on a less higher end pc, I will be more than gladly playing this a LOT on my summertime vacation. Love the work and it looks splendid! Can't wait for it!

Just got this recommended and I think this might be worth a replay of that game. I especially love how you added the vehicles from other Black Box games. You didn't just model swap in a bunch of modern hypercars and called it a day. Effort was put in here. I ain't an "EA hire this man" kinda guy. But this is good stuff. On the level of something like Tale Of Two Wastelands or what the UNITE team are doing for the Ghost NFS games. A big overhaul

This looks amazing! Wish you guys got rid of the ridiculously unrealistic tier system that Carbon has that was rightfully dropped in future games. Just do like Most Wanted did, allow even the starter car to be competitive later on instead of becoming useless.
Wait, just thinking potentially broad but is the end goal to import all the Black Box era maps into one via Hypercooled and have Carbon's engine handle everything including the added online play?
This looks absolutely fantastic. As long as it has basically the improvement mod implemented I'll be hella happy.
