- In this video I take a look back at the Greatest Female Sprinters in History across both the 100 and 200 metres to give them a tiered ranking in the greatest of all time list while discussing the GOAT potential of athletes still competing today.

I personally think so. She'll most likely be here long after Elaine, Shelly and Shericka, because of how young she is. I believe she'll improve her 200m times as well to get her up the list
What you are saying doesn't make sense. Sha'Carri is 23 and has a good ten more years left. Shelly will be retiring next year because she will be 37 next year but still performing at a high level and winning individual medals. Shericka is 29 with about 5 more years, but Shericka has versatility and medal in 100m, 200m, 400m, 4×100m and 4×100m. Not Shelly, Elaine, Sha'Carri, or even the great Alyson Felix had medals in all those 5 events. Elaine is 31 and has about 3 or 4 more years. So, making a statement that Sha'Carri will be here long after those ladies, obviously because she is much younger than them.
I agree. Also, she’s got several imperfections in her execution which will make her much faster as she cleans up. She’s already got the speed to break the world record under proper conditions today…imagine how dominant she will soon become! No one said anything about who has the most medals 😂😂😂 not everything needs to be a competition or a diss.

@stevie586 What you're saying is what I said, but either added context. Obviously, she will be here longer because of age. But the point is if she will have a much lasting career than the others. Using that as an advantage to compare to the others didn't make sense because that point is flawed because of age.
@@sweetangelplus ok. I think the point, however, was given they’re older than her, if she doesn’t already while they’re running, she’s gonna take the reins for many years. By the way, Elaine is iffy as hell…I cannot confidently say she’s gonna run much after Paris…something tells me she will retire early. Her body isn’t cooperating with her and I think all she really cares about is getting the Triple Double right now. Shericka will be here to stay for a while, and I cannot disagree with you about her talent. I’m American and Elaine is my favorite followed by Shericka being my huge hopeful. I think Shelly is done, especially with those injuries combined with age, but Julien Alfred and Hobbs are promising, while TaLou has a questionable amount of time left…
I think we're going to see a growing rivalry between Jackson and Richardson in both events in the coming years

I can see that but the rivalry wouldn’t last that long. Carri 23 Jackson is 30 I believe or approaching it. Carri not even in her prime yet

I think Shacarri should be Tier 2 but its your list and definitely in 5 years time she will be the absolute GOAT in the 100m
I think the reason why she’s not in tier 2 is due to not having sufficient 200m times and accolades to herself a couple sub 22s and a bronze medal isn’t enough to push her into tier 2 yet

Can Sha'Carri Richardson become the Greatest Female Sprinter Ever? Not yet! Time will tell. She is outstanding in the next few years we need to see how she does.
Having learnt from your other videos you haven't considerd that todays athletes run more races comoared to those in the past but okay.

Sha'Carri needs consistency; she must eliminate her unpredictability on the track. When you achieve a time of 10.65, it's perplexing to then finish 4th in the Diamond League finals. She must have complete faith in the fact that her World Championship gold was no fluke; she possesses the ability to replicate that success consistently. The concern is that her fluctuations might lead to an unexpected failure to reach the Olympic podium.
I think she was burnt out by seasons end.
She was consistently good all season in 100 m and only loss 2 races including the diamond league finals. It’s not perplexing that she loss when you realize that she could’ve been burnt out because track stars usually peak at worlds/olympics. Of course she has things to keep working on because she hasn’t even hit her prime but i think this perspective is a bit inaccurate
So her consistent prior to worlds means nothing? She won most of her races even her race after WCs.
She’s young and will get better
We have to take into account that Sha’Carri is still young & new to being #1. SAFP was losing convincingly in 2008 & 2009 when she won the Olympic & World titles. It really wasn’t until 2012 when she started winning consistently throughout the season.

Sherikah Jackson is about to move to Tier 1, Marion should be in Tier 1 and Sha'carri is on Tier 2 with Jeter.

There is far to much GDR PED influence in this tier, IMO.
An obvious one to include is Wyomia Tyus. Koch? Yes. Marion Jones? No; she is too tainted.
Gail Devers is tier 2, while Allison Felix is 3.
I would like to have seen Irina Privalova included in tier 3, she was incredible from 60m, over 100 & 200m to 400m hurdles.
Gwen Torrence? Maybe, since she won OG gold, but Möller and Göhr didn’t, and don’t belong. One could then just as well include Dafne Schippers and Tori Bowie.
How about Flo Jo?
@@MA-go7ee Flo-jo never admitted to or tested positive for anything. One can be suspicious, but she holds the records and is a legend like Koch. I was a huge fan of Jones, she had sn incredible technique, but things played out as they did.

Maybe sub 10.8s but the body cannot sustain too many years of running 10.6. Esp when she’s running sub 21.6 consistently as well.

Florence Grittith is on a tier of her own. She has reached a mythical level, Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson on a tied 2nd place. In 5 years time no one will regard FP as the goat. I believe Richardson will dominate for the next 5+ years as she is a phenomenal talent. Her and Jackson will run 10.5’s.
Sha'Carri will only pass Shelly as the better athlete. If you become the most decorated Olympic athlete in your pet event, winning more than 5 world titles, having more than 16 world medals, and having more than 10 golds. Maintain consistency and perform at high-level medalling every championship for 10 years straight. Medal count, longevity with high performance consistency and time will determine if you are the best
The only thing Flojo has over Elaine and Shelly is a faster time being the two world records. Shelly has longevity, higher medal count, and consistent fast times over Flojo. Elaine has a higher medal count and longevity even through her injury struggle. Plus, they have peace of mind that nobody will ever question the validity of their faast rimes, it unfortunate, but Flojo times will continue to be scrutinized. So all three of them deserve to be on that tier.
@@sweetangelplusGriffith is a legendary figure. Her technique is far superior to that of Fraser-Pryce. She had a fantastic look and charismatic character. She has world records that no one went near until now. Shelly will never have that. She doesn’t even have her championship record. Jamaicans know that, which is why they are attacking Florence Griffiths records.
@@sweetangelplusPeople remember the present. Flo-Jo is still present because of her WR. Fraser-Pryce won’t be in 5 years. People will have seen Richardson and Jackson winning titles and running much faster times. It doesn’t mean that Fraser-Pryces achievements aren’t impressive, it just means that she hasn’t made an impact lasting enough. Thompson has 4 Olympic golds and the title of “Fastest woman alive”, and an olympic record. I don’t want to sound cruel, but that is actually more material than what Fraser-Pryce has.
@@sweetangelplus Fraser-Pryce tested positive and had her results for a season erased, so plenty are doubting her times and she doesn’t even have near the fast times Flo-Jo. Pryce first started running 10.6 at 35 after giving birth to a child. That alone sets off all alarm bells.

ShaCarri has ran more sub 10.8 more times than Shericka! Where the heck are you counting from. Hell just in 2023 alone. So From 2019-2023 For sure. You need to go back to School
