Lloyd E. Scott Gym - Seymour High, Indiana

It's the second biggest high school basketball gym in the world and during tournament time it hosts sectional and regional games for various high school teams in the state of Indiana. If one of those teams happens to be nearby the place is packed with more than 8,000 fans cheering on there are boys on the court.
There was a time when the gym’s capacity of 8,100 was more than enough to rank it number 1 (up from number 3) in the country as the biggest high school gym, topping the New Castle Fieldhouse. The honor lasted about a year when New Castle added more seats to reclaim the throne.
During the regular season, it is the home to the Seymour High School Owls boys and girls basketball teams. The gym opened in 1970 and was named after former basketball coach Lloyd Scott who coached the team from 1961-1988, winning 11 sectionals, six regionals, and advancing to the final game of the semi-state five times. He finished his career with a 334-153 record.
