I've been using Kittle for several months. I like the fonts on Kittle, very simple font transformation options, sets generator and eraser. The big problem on Kittle is background remover. Very often, the necessary background details are removed, even if they are in contrasting colors. You have to delete the background on other sites or in Photoshop. Image Generator - images are often cropped. If I like the image, I finish it in Photoshop or illustrator.
Thanks for the feedback here! We actually uploaded the background remover to auto-crop, and over the last 2 weeks, the definition of the background removal has been improved. However, this will largely depend on what is in your image, if there is a clear subject, it will work perfectly, if there is a lot going on or multiple subjects, perhaps try cropping before removing the background.
This is why I love Kittl! You guys keep adding amazing new features almost every day, it seems to me 😊 Suggestion: I hope one day we are able to just hover over the font options and quickly preview how our text is going to look like, without having to click the font name. Just like how Adobe Illustrator does it. I love Kittl, and use it everyday for my Etsy shop personalized orders ❤
This is a little bit off-topic, but I grew up in a house outside of Philadelphia, which was the temporary residence of George T. Walton, the engineer on the original Lanston Monotype machine, which he developed with Tolbert Lanston. The Waltons must’ve been close, since George even named one of his sons Lanston.
I am only beginning to appreciate fonts. I thought fonts were simply text to explain what is happening around the graphics. I didn't think fonts were art in themselves. To me, one font was just as good as the other to tell the story. I am beginning to understand how each of the fonts is the story just as much as the words they form. Kittl has done a good job making so many fonts available.
Out of all the new typefaces, my favorites are still the tried-and-true Libre Baskerville and Montserrat combo. It's casual elegance, in my opinion. But I am experimenting. And I love KITTL. It's a gr8 investment.
