Actually the two languages he is speaking in this video is not his mother tongue, probably his first language is Bengali, so not bad at all for second and third language!
Regarding the tappet noise....being an Automotive Engineer I want say that the new himalayan 450 is a great bike.... If you ride it carefully for the first 2k kms you will avoid these unwanted noise from engine..... Breakin period is very important with the sherpa 450 engine......this engine will get better and better as it settles down...... People can definitely go with Himalayan 450.....
Hello Mr. automotive engineer, this is a dohc setup with shim-type valve, same as ktm 390. They're not supposed to make any kind of noise when coming out from the factory, right? I understand that this is RE's first liquid cooled engine, but no one should praise any kind of engine till it has clocked at least 20k kms.

This is an honest review...most of the reviewers can't dare to speak up the truth since others in the initial stage have gone GA GA over its pros and avoided the cons those are likely to make a major impact on our day to day running ...the specifications etc doesn't reflect the actual riding experience to be offered by a motorcycle...so this is the best way...just speak up your mind and I know how good you are a rider... We have to wait till spring (April) here in the UK until it appears in our dealers,unfortunately the small first batch will mean very low numbers available to buy here & customers have already put deposits down. I'm 5.7 ,Definitely it's very easy to ride , yes heating issues are there ,easy to handle in traffic, even in off-road, all I get some issues while I have to pull back but it depends on the person strength

I am an ex interceptor owner and I did test ride the new himalayan for around 30 minutes in a mix of city and highway. The interceptor is very front heavy and very difficult to make abrupt directional changes while riding, especially at speeds. But compared to that the new himmy felt lighter. In fact I did not notice the front heaviness during the test ride. I will check it again (after seeing this video) during the next test ride.

If paying such huge amount and still getting tik tik noise and unwanted heat and you call it as normal then I am sorry. I don't wana waste money on such machines which yet needs to get more developed.
@@pravinmurthy don't go just for power, speed 400 is very capable machine, but it's not at all comfortable for long rides. Your groin area will go numb sitting on that bike for long. I haven't ridden this new Himalayan so can't comment on that, did a long trip on speed though.
You've ridden both, the scrambler 400x and the himmi on the same road... can you please tell how were the vibrations at speeds of around 100-120? Also did you feel that the scrambler was finding it hard to hold these speeds as compared to the himalayan? How is the refinement on both the bikes when compared side to side?

can you give your thoughts on which one to pick between this and triump scrambler 400x ? Like scram is 2.7 L vs this is 2.85L and I am confused in terms of which is better. My purpose would be pretty much touring to places on weekends ( i don't go office / commute to work is not something i will do using bike but occasionally once a quater or so i may take the bike in city etc.) I like the looks of scram but not sure of the comfort levels on himi vs scram. Definitely will take test ride before buying but want to gather some thoughts or info so that i can check myself when i take a test ride. Well it depends, i have test ridden both bikes. If you want to enjoy the curves and occasional weekend rides i would recommend scram 400x. But if your main purpose is touring then it would be himalayan cause it gives good highway stability as it is a bit on the heavy side i.e., himalayan is a good secondary bike but at this increased price there ktm 390 adv x which has more features and reliabilty(and comes with tubeless tires as stock) as compared to himi...tso est ride all 3 of em and decide. edit:- there is cb300r too if you are looking for dual purpose, it is lightweight, no vibrations, good mileage , nice power, and has good cruising speed of about 120(if its not windy).
Yes tapped noise is there yesterday i went to service center they said its normal because tgey have given a gap so you can easily ride with high rpm they compared with 390 adv so its normal as they said but i do have doubt

Office ride and market wrong bike, less mileage and front heavy driver handling.
Advice:- Keep you hornet for city and market rides and use himalayan for touring.

Old himalyan was more balanced between highay and city rides
im 5'4 and i ride this on 845mm. no issues. It is totally manageable and worth it.
