- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- The McCarty 594 Hollowbody II brings a new set of features to one of our most beloved models - the Hollowbody II. With fully-hollow build construction, the Hollowbody II is a resonant guitar with warm, woody tone. 58/15 LT pickups ensure that these guitars are clear and musical, and dual volume and push-pull tone controls offer plenty of versatility. The details taken from the McCarty 594 model impart old-school character to this already classic instrument. Those details include a 24.594” scale length, two-piece bridge, and Pattern Vintage neck shape. The McCarty 594 Hollowbody II is a true showstopper with effortless playability, articulate vintage tone, and a jaw-dropping aesthetic.

Bryan is not just the best demonstrator of guitars, he is the best demonstrator of anything I've ever seen.
I never knew I wanted a hollowbody before this...
This is absolute perfection.
She sings man, she sings!
Bryan is such a good ambassador - I cant handle the tastiness in those licks.
We are quite fond of him, too!
Boy PRS is actually getting better and better with time...
These McCarty Hollow Bodies ooze quality, sound wise and aesthetically. Just beautiful.
You're demos always get to the heart of the build and sound of the instrument! Thanks so much! Don't make a purchase without checking your demo first. 🙏☯️🕉️
Holy crap my wife is going to be pissed. I already have a 594. Oh well. Haha
What, you haven't told her yet that 594's come in fraternal twin sets?
Just ... ummmm ... delayed delivery.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission
John If you're the breadmaker then who cares, buy 3 of them!
Beautiful sounding guitar. Beautiful looks. Beautiful playing. Thanks.
PRS doing unbelievable stuff year after year. If you have never put your hands on an American made PRS you just can't understand what sets them apart from the rest. Unbelievable craftsmanship and every detail is impeccable. My 07 singlecut will never leave my hands.
Outrageously pretty.
sooo rich, full, mellow......comforting
The best PRS model ever.
I'm borrowing a friend's McCarty from the 90s
Its a gold top that has a 3 way toggle switch, a tone knob and a volume
I love it!
Part of its is the simplicity
I personally own a 2016 Gibson lp traditional
It's has the same split coils
With an two added push pulls for a bridge blow switch and a out of phase thing
But I don't use those features
I was just comparing the two and they don't seem that far off each other..........
So nothings really new
Got to say they are beautiful and it does have the hollow body thing going on
Someone should slip one of these onto a guitar stand near Trey Anastasio. I know, it's not 25.5" scale...but I'd love to hear Trey cut loose on one of these PRS beauties.
Yinz gotta get one of these into Mayer's hands soon. Can't wait to hear the magic he'll create with it !
Played one of these last weekend...it was unbelievable. Sadly, this will never be a financial option for me. If they put out an SE version that's 30% as good I would snap one up immediately.
How do you like your SE Hollowbody?
4500 on Reverb for one. Not that expensive if you put money down on it and make payments. If you really want you can stretch the payments out.
People say they are too much but once you get it and start paying payments. You'll never look back. My PRS was 3k scratch and dent. I paid 60 a week out of my paycheck after I took a small loan out of my 401k.
Never regretted it.
Beautiful guitar and beautiful playing Bryan!
That's just beautiful
Wow. I love my HBII, and I've had my eye on the 594 for a while. If only this had a piezo it would have everything in one guitar.
Rick C exactly my thoughts, was planning on doing a private stock run one day and would get the 594 hollowbody and add the piezo, seems to be the only way to get one
PRS guitar's tone is GREAT!
Blessed to own a 2011 single cut hollowbody 2.
There are so many variations!! Would love to hear this against the previous semi-hollow 594 and a solid 594
Sounds amazing and really diggin those riffs! Opening my eyes to that Sonzera too. PRS FTW! I love all the tonal options and the looks couldn't be better.
Just ordered one just like the one in the video. Can’t wait to play it and have fun.
I miss the locking tuners. They look way better than the vintage. 😢
OH boy. I need this Guitar. Which is to say I am gonna be so grateful when it comes into my life! Nice
Beautiful playing as always Brian. My next guitar
Need a price just my luck because I was saving up for a 594 and my second favourite model was a hollow body II that I tried once 😂😍talk about a happy miracle
Thanks a MILLION to Bryan for all the great demo's . This vid helped me get the guitar of my dreams , the 594 HB ii is a lightweight Masterpiece. The tone pallete is delicious and versatile, the coil taps really do make it sound almost like an acoustic , better than my Heritage archtop! It can take WAY more gain than you could imagine. Thanks to Paul and all the crew!
Great sounding guitar. Great looking guitar. Very high standard PRS. Well done!
Wow sounds amazing
I’m not a fan of bridge pickups but the acoustic quality here is appealing and nicely voiced. Great demo as always and Bryan has earned a good following as well as setting the bar in this space.
Great guitar! Got the PS limited version of this in smoked sunburst!
Just ordered mine - 2019 model with the 2020 spec and the locking tuners instead of vintage tuners - can't wait!!
I would love a 594 Hollowbody - especially if they added a Piezo too. I would trade my 'solid' 594 for a HB 594 but I think I will still have to get the traditional HB2 as I need a Piezo.
If these were priced comparably to a 594, I would be at my local dealer right now!!
Well I have my Hollowbody II with Piezo now so now I just need the HB594 to get variety of magnetic PU tones inc the split coil options that my HBii doesn't offer - same PU's though...
Love that first minute Bryan!
Stunning. Want...
Thank you PRS, for making guitars I can never afford :')
4,500 is affordable.
Randy Petree Gtfoh...
An average smoker or drinker would spend that much on tobacco or booze in 2-3 years. Spend the money on the guitar instead and you’ll have a companion for a healthy habit that will outlive you.
They make a really nice hollowbody in the SE range now. Sure, it's not on the same level as the core model, but it's amazing for $1500.
@@xkz_doll should’ve worked harder at school then, eh?
What a beautyyyyyyy I think I'm in love.🙃 Guitar installments I will enjoy paying😁
My absolute dream guitar. One day I'll afford one.
I don't have the money for such a wonderful guitar, but I have a PRS S2 Mira Amber White color with dot inlays. Thank you for a good demo, and nice playing by the way.
Man.... shit is so beautiful god DAMN!
I LOVE THIS GUITAR...
THE SOUND, THE TONE, THE SENSATION... IS SIMPLY PERFECT...
the only bad thing is the price...
I have to sell to my wife to buy it ... it's not a bad idea...
I could buy her immediately
Wonderful:) GMTDay
Is this in Trampas Green?
Perfect guitar!
Bout to go in SERIOUS debt. WORTH IT.
Now I know what my Custom 24 want as a Sister!
Ohhh.. gorgeous…. Which color is this?
Dang want one now
Best looking guitar ever....wow
their faded blue whale is breathtaking, too.
Ok, that's not called a Super Eagle.
@@johnk3195 thankfully.
really great sounding guitar.... ♫
Is the next interation of this guitar going to have a piezo somehow ??? That would be my other PRS dream guitar hhahaha
Darn! I was pulling for a new s2 hollow body to introduce players to prs core hollow tones at a more accessible price point. Love Mr Bryan on any guitar of course
Why don’t Prs use the push push pots instead of push pull? They are way easier and faster to engage in both ways
Alessandro Ronchi not a specialist but maybe the push push ones won’t age well with spring pbs, etc?
@@Nikoo033 it may be. Toggle switches also are another better option than push pull. Also a knob with a different form, with an higher grip to make the pull easier, should be better.
I’m not totally certain, but I once heard that Yamaha owned the patent in the push/push pot design.
They wear out super fast. I had some on my gibson Les Paul and they wore out in a few years so I use push pull now.
Only criticism is aesthetic, I don’t think the bridge tailpiece is very attractive. The guitars that have it have all those beautiful in proportion curves and arches, but have a rectangular tailpiece with sharp angles, and aesthetically the other bridges you make are more complimentary to the look. But that’s the only thing I can say, and I actually don’t really keep paying attention because it just shines in every respect. And sounds just fantastic!
Can it produce a nice mellow Jazz tone that would work for Chord Melody style?
Very nice. Now make a video with the SE ziricote!
🔥🔥🔥
What color finish is that? It’s BEAUTIFUL
It’s not available today. I agree it’s beautiful. But I don’t know the name of this color. If I would buy this, I would choose Faded Whale Blue.
Whoa Super Eagle McCarty
Why does the one I'm looking at over at Sweetwater have painted sides and neck? I want to see that wood!
Personally I've always said
Gibson 335 VOS Murphy Lab .
Collins I35 Custom is all you need .
PRS has to be part of the equation.
I have a PRS HB II with Piezo
Privite Stock has its place.
Picking up 594 HB next week.
That about covers it with Hollowbodies. PRS looks like Violin. Just Beautiful. They have there own Sound which covers all the boxes.
Which is the Best ?
They all are. Paul would agree.
Great gtrs, look good. Cannot deny that. But am I the only one thinking 'just a variation on the same'? The geargeeks might disagree, but the crowd don't hear no difference. You might as well be playing a Custom 24 for them.
Imagine this with a Bigsby on it.
I think if God himself came down from heaven and crafted a guitar. This is what it would sound like.
Paul, you've done it again.
Differences between this guitar and the Hollowbody Piezo II?
Hey Bryan, i missed you!
Can i put a Les Trem 2 on this beauty?
First PRS. This or the 594 semi hollow? I have a hollow body Yaron bone voyage, but that doesn't have coil taps.
wait the single cut version
for
I want a lefty!
I'll take this in Aquamarine finish please
Anything more modern coming out this year ?
is there a prs semi hollow which doesn't have a wide neck? I prefer those slimmer fender style necks ..
What is with the bookmatching on that guitar? I notice that on a lot of PRS guitars. Its nice looking - just does not look well matched on each side.
I have two questions:
- Is a hollow body guitar proper for a Metal guitarist?
- I have "discovered" PRS guitars in Greece that are far too cheap (about 500€). Are these guitars original PRS guitars?
Brother.. There is no right or wrong guitar when playing music. Any guitar works for any genre (some better than others) Metal can be played on any type of guitar, it all depends on the way you use it and what tone you're looking for. This particular PRS is a hollow body so you can expect more feed back when using more gain compared to let's say a solid body guitar. However, did you hear that sound? I can bet you'd sound unreal! Also the cheaper PRS's you're seeing are probably the PRS SE models which is their Korean made guitars. Similar comparisons would be Epiphone to Gibson or Squier to Fender. Still the same company but not the real deal in terms of quality! Ciao.
will there be a singlecut version?
Hmmm...
@@prsguitars 👀
I would too but I only have one
Why do you say a solid top is less prone to feedback compared to a laminated one ? I fail to understand the physics behind this assumption. Can you elaborate please ?
This was a comment I made based on my experience using hollowbody guitars live. And I certainly may be wrong in my assumption as there are many other factors at play. I've played many different hollowbody instruments over the years and the carved ones have been much less sensitive to feedback.
@@BryanEwald Thank you for your answer Bryan. I'll look more into it. Btw, your tone and touch are exquisite.
Unplugged, anyone know if the acoustic sound more on par with a traditional hollowbody, or is it more like a semi-hollow 335?
this is one the best guitar in history of guitar ever , in the top 3 ever, and by the way the top 3 for me it all PRS guitars no doubt on that.
TOP 1 guitar ever: PRS Custom24-08.
this guitar is the best of both best guitars of history:Stratocaster and Lespaul in one guitar with the best polyvalent and playability guitar ever made, the 24 frets give a more advantage and harmonies, that the PRS modern eagle V(5).
Top2: PRS modern eagle V(5); the best polyvalent desert guitar for all style, best quality, she could be even top1
Top 3: PRS the McCarty 594 Hallowbody II(.
Top4: PRS Fiore; Top5:PRS silver sky; Top6: PRS the special semi-hallow ; Top7: PRS NF53; Top8: PRS Paul's guitar; Top9: PRS custom24 Piezo; top10: PRS Hallow body 2
If this have a piezo system it becomes the perfect guitar
PRS has that option.
@@morgenholz but that is a hollowboyd II not the McCarty 594 Hollobody II
@@pepebvelez correct
Are these pickups potted?
Pattern Vintage neck only? Give me an option for a neck that fits my hands if you want my money.
I'm planning to sell a kidney to get this guitar
When will it be available?
Available for order now! Check in with your favorite PRS Guitars dealer for more info. Thanks for tuning in, DCkog.
These PRS demos would sound so much better on a better amplifier. Just being honest.
Thank you for saying it lol! 😅🙏
It’s all getting mangled by UA-cam compression anyway tbh
Chulada
I thought there would be piezos but you almost don’t need it.
These guitars are ridiculous. Does anyone know who McCarty is?
Ted McCarty. Look him up.
sounds kind of Phishy
It’s not that it’s solid top vs laminate top. All laminate tops with narrow rims are very much feedback free. I’d like to buy a PRS someday. I will if they ever make one that is NOT butt ugly. The shape of the body, the squatty head stock, and the boring inlays make PRS look gaudy and cheap. I know they’re great guitars, but damn....
First 👍😎
put a Gibson 60's profile neck on it and I'd sell my wife for it
The 594 has the chunkiest neck PRS makes
@@ryanmccombs1989 ok.... and I like Gibson's 60s profile the best
Beauty A
She will be mine
Love the vintage profile neck. Can't stand the volume/tone control layout and the 3 way toggle on the upper bout...pass.
omg. good thing tax returns are coming in a couple months right guys?
