  • This short video shows a 28" R2 Rinaldi "Stoneburier" tiller being operated on a BCS 749 walk-behind tractor. Note how all the surface material (grass, weeds and the pile of creek-gravel that was dumped in the path of the machine) disappears from the surface; it is all buried at the bottom of the tilth.

Sorry, this video was actually shot without any prep...a customer was here at our shop to see a stoneburier in action, so we popped one on our demo tractor and went at it. At the last minute, I realized that we didn't have any video footage of this tool, so I grabbed a camera and we shot some. As you can see on most of our videos, I usually talk ad nauseum about everything, so I guess this one kind of makes up for it...:-)

I was rather pleased to see this in action and excited to look for how I could get one...... Until I realized the attachment he's using ALONE is $3000 USD. I could buy a used tractor and tiller for that money. I thought the point of these was affordability, versatility, and usability.

Compared to a 4-wheel tractor & implements, this IS very affordable. It all depends on what you're comparing it to...if you compare it to "box store junk" equipment, yes, these are expensive. But you only have to buy these ONCE, not every 5 years.

Echoing Joel's comment. I have over 7 years use on my equipment. For small tracts these machines are great!
