I like this guy Joel, he's honest, it's hard to find these days. He dug his trench in real world soil, not in a staged, sifted, rock free, environment. Good job Joel, and thank you
Yep, the Rotary Plow works too...it just makes a much wider trench than needed for a lot of applications (about 10" wide). But if you NEED a wider trench, it is the tool to use, for sure!
At some point, they will have reinvented all the attachments that Gravely had. Do these tractors have instant forward/reverse or do you have to clutch and shift to back up? Also, I still think that it is safer to have the implements out front with the tractor between you and the rotating parts.
We did get Caravaggi of Italy to make this implement specifically for us, but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't sell it to other interested customers in Europe...here is their website: www.caravaggi.com/...you can contact them and see if they have it available to European customers.
Joel, I'm getting ready to use mine for the first time! It looks like Carrabaggi has an adjustment bar on the gear side of the unit. Maybe it can run a little deeper. Anyway, I will see how it goes!
Does anyone use this for a "no-till" planting? Are the sides and bottom of the trench compacted or loose? Wondering if this might be a good tool for prairie restoration to quickly plant large plant starts and small tree saplings?

Sure.... about 6 weeks ago I used the rotary plow to dig a trench for electric line and garden water line.... another great implement option!

Can the depth be adjusted? I'm thinking this can be good for making rows for corn (as I seed corn with a push seeder)

Hi, great bit of kit, are they sold in Italy or made exclusively for You?

Was wondering when I'd see another video from earthtools
I've always said that if i had a trench to dig...I'd use the rotary plow...though its not the same, I'd make it work. Good machinery
great tool, I would like to see one like that for my kubota subcompact 2680 that is pto driven and could go about 12" to 18" deep.
Would you ship to France?
Yes. Shipping costs would be expensive, though!
How deep is that trench?
6 inches is maximum depth. In the video, I had it set at 5", to try to avoid SOME of the deeper rocks...still hit plenty of rocks, though!!
