ZainR Yeah, it amazed me when I realized that the major depression I had suffered from for years was actually just a mental construct that -- had no power over me, my actions or lack of actions, my feelings of self-worth & self-esteem, all of it. She would call me _"a piece of shit", "dumb shit", "royal fuck up", etc., etc._ It started after my father left her until I was about 6yrs old. We have both healed since then & she is eternally regretful & has asked me for forgiveness. Although her & I are okay now, there is little I can do about my childhood bullies that tormented me daily growing up. Suffering from mild bi-polar ("manic-depressiveness", as my doctor use to call it when I was a kid). And trust me, I was no saint. I was a difficult kid to deal with. Although I never actually attempted suicide, & plotted it out in detail at least a half a dozen times when I became a teenager.
