Doolittle and his men risked everything to tell Imperial Japan that the US had the power to reach out and touch them in the heart of their Empire.
I watched this from the Northrop Electronics Division on closed circuit television on that day. We were in awe! I still have the lapel pin carried on the first maiden flight. My Mom worked there too and I have her pin as well. This was such a proud and amazing day!
