This isn't how I expected Russell Crowe to be. What a thoughtful and gifted story teller he is. Absolute legend. One of the best episodes, seriously.

How deeply admire his work and am truly grateful for the artistic displays he's put on TV but I truly found his stories absolutely abhorrent and lacking in humor and pace. It felt like he put too much emphasis on his importance in the story and not enough emphasis on whether or not the story is good period his jokes were horrible and he's got a relatively big head about his acting life. I'm not being hypocritical it's just how I perceived him. Still a pretty good listen and I love everything he's in

Unlike others who use these kind of interviews as marketing potential, hoping to score another big role, Crowe (a Kiwi) is very laid back, not fussed either way, if it happens it happens, his enjoyed what his done, what he has, just enjoying life.
Aussies Paul Hogan, Eric Bana, Guy Pearce, Sam Worthington, are similar interviews, if Rogan ever gets them. Heath Ledger would have been a good one, RIP.
Others like Hemsworth, Jackman, Robbie, get awkward talking about themselves, ham it up too much to compensate.

I was the 12 year old kids who would journey to the cinema cause it was the place to be. Anytime I bought some bland ass pg whatever would be playing same time and sneak into pg-13 and would be little youngster. Quiet, no kidding around. By myself. My escapes from a lame bland reality. To the cinema. "What we do in life. Echoes into eternity." And bought every word and performance this man in his prime brought that fire. Where I went to a fantasy realm time machine. Back when that was a unique thing to watch and be entertained..it cannot be topped nor followed. I said what I said.

When I was 15, just after Gladiator had come out, I went on a school ski trip. All us teenage boys were still exhilarated about the film and it was all we could talk about. You can imagine, then, our sheer excitement to discover that our ski instructor looked like a spitting image of Russell Crowe. No-one told him though and soon we were giggling more and more each time he directed us, imagining him as the Spaniard leading us into battle. One day, as we stood at the top of the mountain preparing to go down but also struggling to concentrate on his actual instructions, he turned around, face stern, and scanned his crowd, meeting our eyes one by one. There was a pause, then he began. “My name is Maximus Meridius Decimus. Commander of the armies of the north…” He did the whole speech in what was nothing short of a perfect impression, voice and all. And just like that, our voices deepened and our balls collectively dropped. In under a minute, we had become men. I’ll never forget that moment.

To Russel Crowe, thank you for reminding me of the wonderous miracles and subtle beautiful moments in life that connect us all together for the good. I'm very sick with stage 5 kidney failure and heart failure at 45. But the story of taking your mother and children to Rome, connecting you all to your father brought tears to my eyes and a warmth to my heart i had almost fogotten still existed. Thank you Danny Boy.🙏 ,Eric (fan and regular guy)

I remember seeing Russell Crowe at a movie theatre in Sydney. I thought, 'Oh wow, my chance to meet him!' As I approached, I noticed he was with his young son, who seemed overwhelmed by the movie they were watching. When I was about five steps away, I immediately stopped and turned around. The excitement of meeting a legend quickly turned into the thought of him possibly being upset with me for interrupting a special moment between him and his son.

It’s crazy! I was talking with my wife about this interview. We both love Russell crow as an actor! I’m/ we are definitely not fans of Hollywood and its ilk! But there are some people that are just like real people…good folks! I’ve never seen Russell in this kind of atmosphere and being just a regular dude!! The story about him and his mom in the 16th Chapel and Danny Boy playing in the background when they where thinking of his dad and that Danny Boy was what played at his funeral had tears just streaming down my face on their own. So touching. And just a few moments before he had me laughing with the part about the guy calling him Maximo, the 8th king of Rome!
Russell looks like the kind of dude you would sit with having a pint of cold beer and just talking about really deep stuff, and constantly switching, while he takes you on amazing rides with the tales he tells soooo well. Such a cool down to earth guy. Glad I got to see this side of him.

Hats off to Russel Crowe for having humanity in his heart when raising his cattle. As Joe said we’re completely disconnected from how animals are killed and raised.

Thing is, we don't need to be raising and slaughtering cattle at all. It's beginning to become an archaic practice here in the 2020's. Was sad to hear that he exploits young animals for $$....

Easily my favourite episode yet of Rogans. Could listen to Russel Crowe all day, absolute legend. Bet he has some stories! Great of Rogan to just allow him to tell his stories without interrupting.

I truly respect this fellow for the way he treats his cattle..a man who takes care of his animals is a friend of mine..in a world that takes $ over care..it’s a breath of fresh air
